I was beginning to blame myself, too.  I had literally just made myself a Orange Vod-juice-ka and was settling to to catch up.  Really just figures!  :P

Holy crap. It's really you. I'm glad you're back.

Thanks, Eddie and MV.  I'm glad to be back around and to see so many cool, familiar, old names!  I've got a lot to read tonight.

Howdy, ya'll.  And even Eddie Coyle, too. Wow. Swoon.

In honor of the recent interview with Christopher Scarver:

I always wondered what it felt like to be a battered woman, crawling back from the shelter...

P.S. - That's a mighty fine favicon you got there, MV.

Oh, boy.  Thank you.  Now I remember why I used to spend so much time here... even sans Eddie Coyle. *wipes a tear of both mirth and sorrow*

Welcome back. Don't be a stranger.

onan :)

Yeah, I think so.  Ye olde Dark Matter trainwreck doesn't sting so badly anymore, so I might poke my head in.

Radio and Podcasts / Re: George Knapp
June 05, 2014, 01:30:55 AM
I've been catching up on Knapp via youtube when I can; I still enjoy his shows and respect him.  I love when he makes a point of stating that his show will be going back to the core subjects of when the show first started (his emphasis, even) and nary of a word of Jorch is spoken, unless absolutely necessary.  Knapp has no need to pretend to be a brownnoser, and I'm sure he likes it that way.  I can even pretend Jorch doesn't exist when I listen... until his garble-mouthed copy readings come on, of course.

I don't dig around too hard for youtube recordings, but there are a couple of Knapp's shows where this old dude who works at a convenience store or something like that literally films his radio playing C2C while he's working.  He'll interject a little comment or two (usually pretty inane) during the commercials.  It's absolutely enthralling in its strange little way.  You can hear him talking to people sometimes or you just watch this regular old crabby dude sitting there listening to the radio.  I'm totally fascinated by it.

This astrologer asstard is taking up airtime to tell Jorch when to go to the dentist and holiday shopping tips.

Fuck me.

Alright, some extenuating circumstances have forced me to listen to air radio for the last few nights as my only form of entertainment.  After tiring of a strangely depressing "classic hits" station (with a tagline of "it's a party... if only in your head!", you know you're in for something special), I needed a change.

Anyway, I tentatively decide to take maybe just a little listen to see what's going on over on the Snorge Show.  Maybe it's be something harmless, like LMH or something equally white noise-like.  Who knows?  Let's find out.

Well, oy friggin' vey. What a fucking steaming special ed circle jerk this is.  Really.  Just, wow.

I just wanted to register my disgust in a public forum.  Thank you.

Or was it a Plaid Pantry?  Starvin' Marvin'?  Was that ever made clear?

Does anybody find it bizarre that both Art Bell and Noory come and check this site regularly.  I mean like every fucking day, and don't say anything at all.

I find it fucking bizarro.

I am the direct supervisor of two of the most annoying fucks ever to breathe.  They suck and make my job more difficult, but not so badly that I can fire them.  I would also feel bad if I did, because I'm weak, so I live with it.  I also hired them - good job, Usagi!  Oh, but I hate them.  Perhaps they would improve and be less derpy with inspiring leadership and effective training.  From me?  Fuck that.

Jobs suck.

Yup, good stuff.  I've procrastinated in listening to your podcasts.  I'll start now.  :)

I went to go hunt down Marc Knight's gallery of Fort Rock photoshops and discovered... it's as if he'd been erased from CoastGab, Stalin-style.

Did I miss something?  What happened there?  A PM'll do if it's sordid.

I do hope it's sordid.

Nah, man.  FR was a visionary.  Art came back, albeit briefly, and the Scorpion Army even came to life!  Tell me you saw that coming a year ago.

There's a fine line between madness and... genius?

Goodness.  Come back to Gab after a few day drunken orgy and you never know what you might find.

This is silly.  Of course he's against the "campaign."  It may have had some slim chance of success!  If he wanted to be on radio, he'd be on it.  Lawdy, lawdy.

Glad I missed it, though.  I wouldn't "hashtag" to save a kitten.

Prior to that now damndable status bar, I never actually entertained a hope that Art would come back to radio.  That water had not only passed under the bridge, it had made it's way to the ocean.  My one true desire was to see Premiere boot Jorch in favor of someone with talent and intellect.

Perhaps the lamest result of all this is that Premiere now has bonafide proof that they made the right decision in keeping a toady at the mic instead of ever taking a risk.  Snorch is here to stay.

All that really matters is that Eddie was one cool cat... and now he can't come back here after his middle of the night walks.

And whatever it is that you think that I am referring to, I am.
