I'm still thinking it might be Micah Hanks.  He's pretty good; in some ways better than Dave Schrader.  He's a "no-name," though.
I like Micah Hanks too.  He can tell a really good ghost story. I listen to his podcast every now and then.

Quoting Sonny of HA fame (infamany, maybe)  and Hunter's depiction?

And WTF am I listening to now? Give this time slot to Senda.

Yeah, the Tennessee Wraith Chasers. We're still waiting to hear if we're going to be renewed. Things are kind of in a holding pattern because of the acquisition of Scripps Networks by Discovery Networks. They don't know what networks will stick around/be absorbed. Doesn't make sense to have both Destination America and Travel Channel...my hope is DA goes full "paranormal network" so hopefully I can get more TV work (behind the scenes, as a writer-producer, not on-camera)

The only thing I hate on some of those shows especially Ghost Adventures is they tend to want to juice things up and they inflate every surprised reaction they have in order to produce drama. Someone is always getting sick too.  I didn't sense that as much with Haunted Towns.  I also liked the emphasis of prayer in Haunted Towns.

I was not a big fan of Ghosts of Shepherdstown because they wanted to bind all the haunting events into one storyline.  That only comes across as fake.  Hope your show gets renewed.

Yesterday, I again wrote down a question I think should be posed on an IQ test:

|"Legal:Right::Illegal:wrong"

True or False?|

I wonder what sort of IQ test I was asked to write questions for after I received both True and False answers to the question.

Huh...

good to see you Azz!

I'd like to hear him.  I like Dave but I'd prefer someone I never heard of who's got talent.

I'm trying to move it beyond the scary, beyond the drama, beyond the reactions. But it's hard, because what we see as a (pseudo) scientific pursuit, network execs see as "reality horror."

That's why I don't even care about proving the paranormal anymore. I just want to put people in position to experience it for themselves. I once thought I'd be the guy to prove to the world that ghosts exists; now I realize my role is just to help individuals open their minds to it, even if it's one person at a time.

Well I'd chose a place near a Love's  after the assignation with her because would want a free shower with flill-up. And some new CB antennas and Confederate decals.

I’m sure some of the people in this chat group would expose themselves for cheap or free.
But not me.   I may be easy but I ain’t cheap!

MITD bids a heartfelt farewell to two amazing people that have shouldered the responsibility of creating a legacy. Our family was dealt two devastating blows with the loss of our founder, Art Bell, and then the departure of recent host Heather Wade.

Each of us grieves in different ways, and although we acknowledge the pain and suffering Heather is dealing with, we know that as the adage says,  “the show must go on.” Very difficult and deeply thought out decisions have been made as we elect to move forward for the sake of our loyal audience. We sincerely wish Heather a speedy recovery from her grief and also want to publicly state a heartfelt, “Thank You” for the years of fun and entertainment. May her continued journey be filled with much happiness and success.

We are committed to carry on the legacy of Art’s study of the paranormal. We are excited about the future and respectful of our past. We will navigate the night with the light that Art lit, Heather carried, and our new host will use blazing a trail seeking answers to the unexplained in this world of high strangeness. We will stay the course and strive to bring you the best in Paranormal Talk Radio.

Please tune in Monday at Midnight Eastern / 9 Pacific for the future of Midnight in the Desert.

Don't got one of those out here, but there's a place here called the super stop travel center. Inside its basically your typical gas station except, showers and all that jazz for truckers, it once was (still) connected to a diner, now it's a sushi restaurant....... I wouldn't eat there.... But there are many I wouldn't eat neither, pun intended.

Somewhere along the way this week, Keith said something about being lucky his new host was available. That sounds like a "name" of some renown.

I know what you mean.  I've long been a believer.  I do a bit of rudimentary ghost hunting myself occasionally in places like Virginia City, The Stanley, , Savannah, St. Augustine, Gettysburg and the like.  I live near Kennesaw National Civil War battlefield and I go there from time to time and get unusual stuff.  I don't like some of the technology like the Spirit box.  Too noisy and gives me a headache.  Prefer plain old evp, ovilus and k2 meter.

My wife puts up with my hobby but she's worried something nasty will attach itself to me.  I don't know if we will ever get solid evidence.  You'd think with cell phone cameras and the like we would have captured something conclusive.  Of course maybe we have but some will say it is photo-shopped and of course many are.

I use something called EchoVox. Kind of like a ghost box, but less static and phonetics instead of noise.

I agree, nothing is going to prove it to the skeptics...or especially the cynics.

I laugh and mock but my wife always gets sick when we drive onto the old lighthouse property in St. Augustine.  I guess there is something to the reactions but damn if I got sick as much as those guys claim to get, I'd be looking for another occupation. LOL. Of course  the money is probably good now so you can't blame them for staying.

I think I've seen the EchoVox on some shows like Paranormal Lockdown.  The technology is improving.
