This is the first time I have been here in a long time and I see the hate just keeps coming, I will never the less continue to be a member here and will check in every now and then to see if anything has changed.

Art

That's what I somewhat look forward too.  That and...  Hey, Art and I are on the same page...

I've been sleeping at night, so I haven't been listening much lately...

I thought internetlessness sucked.  It doesn't even compare to Homelessness.  BRB once the Baptism of Fire is finished.

Found a TV show before called Secrets of the Castle... it's about a castle being built in France using historically accurate techniques. The people on that show have done other shows for the BBC... One is about farming called Tales from the Green Valley... Owen Teale (Ser Allister Thorne) narrated it.

Only Game Of Thrones actors have fans approach and make a request like "Could I record you on my phone calling me a bastard?"

I shall go listen to episode 79 right now, just so I can say I heard it for myself, then push the cancel button!

Your help is greatly appreciated bigchucka!  :-*

Guarantee it's there.  Just read back that thread... That was my first ever transcription of a show I had ever done.... Apparently I did well enough to have even noted when it took place.  Let us know what happens next, I guess... Sorry you didn't hear about this before.  I think I read something before that this isn't the only time he has discussed this forum.

Well then You must make haste and tell me.  Let not another minute pass!

I admit, I do not listen to ALL his shows.  Maybe one a week interests me these days.

If such be true, I shall remove my membership from his show immediately!

Had to play with the "search" capabilities MV provides me when I remember shit...

...Some of the little whiny people over there at something Gab...(makes some sort of insulting noise) some of these people are so smart. (sarcastically) ... in their own minds. I think they should start their own program. And give us a chance to criticize them.  But anyway, these people are incapable of listening... Some of them are okay, they really are.  But not many.  Most of them are spoiled little brats who want to be entertained.  You know, like a dangerous baby that starts kicking and thrashing around, spitting up... deliberately.  Because you haven't provided an appropriate toy.  Their cognitive senses are poor, their critical thinking skills are nil, and their civility is, well, barely extant.

Episode 79... 41 min or so in...

I wouldn't be surprised if you could get JohnBWells on.  He has been on other shows, and has lots of interesting ideas about the podcast/radio world.

It would be fun to hear you and Wells get into it about Politics as well!

You clearly haven't heard what JBW's thoughts are about "Something Gab."

Wow... Yeow.

Tonight's episode of Game of Thrones.

Being courteous and won't drop spoilers.

The way that ended probably means it won't be on next week.  Possibly for 2 or 3.  Haven't went and looked it up yet.

It does come up on almost every show that Heather is a witch and is apparently very knowledgeable regarding magic. When I tuned in briefly to last night's open lines she was telling a caller how to deal with a curse or something by putting salt by his bed and some other stuff (sorry wasn't listening too closely).

With Heather being a witch and all, I do wonder why Art didn't make use of her talents to deal with his stalker, as he claimed to have known the likely identity of the stalker.

Quote from: Firefighter on May 15, 2016, 05:35:06 PM
Heather did give the caller a way to deal with his problem....however she was extremely reluctant to do so....I'm interested as to why she didn't want to give out a way to help with said curse...was she thinking and afraid that if she used her wich powers/knowledge for this caller that the show would be flooded with callers asking begging for her great wich help...or was she secretly hoping that would happen passing it off that she didn't want to use her wich mastery for the masses

....or on the masses   Bawhahah

Maybe because Evelyn Paglini isn't around anymore... I know Ramona was more into that than Art was but she did give him the tools and the knowledge needed... I know in one of the shows Art did with Evelyn he expressed interest in using occultic knowledge to deal with one of his issues... Don't know if he was referring to the teacher at the school or the one that wrote the infamous "Fillipino Slander" letter though.

Need to power up for a "nerdcore" event

I still remember the time I was watching a show called Oddities (kind of like Pawn Stars, but unusual items) and heard "My name is Schaffer The Darklord, and I'm a rapper."

i use a series of flow charts to keep it straight in my mind.

I manipulate my own gravity field in an attempt to avoid collisions.  That's how I deal with things here.

Guess you are in a position where you have to keep track of things from time to time.

there is but yea i dont think he would, thats why i didnt post it lol

What I'm wondering from that is those two are one in the same... There's a guy in the crowd that has a "Holy Fuck! Now's my chance" look on his face before he stands up and takes off... Then there's a guy that does the "All the Lannisters can suck my cock" while shaking it for her... He could also be the same guy that was talking shit and pays for it in season 6

If BellGab goes down again, couldn't we just put it on KNYE?

We talking a website crash or a BJ?

That brings up an interesting question... I think I read before that KNYE (of course) carried MITD when it started... Does it continue to do so?

I imagine when Art posts things like these, he gets some responses back asking if he's the one hosting tonight.

Frankly I never heard a solid 5 hours of Art either but I know many people did. Beyond 3 just gets tough for me to stay interested, let alone finding a practical way to listen for that long...only so much commute or gym time for me in a day. Maybe if I were an overnight long haul trucker.

I've heard 5 hours of Art and Ian before... Ian's would have been due to "Fall back...."... The station I usually listened to when I was a teen replayed the first hour of the show at the end of the show (5am to 6am), but if Art did an extra hour they played that instead.... Sometimes Art would send a message to the affiliates giving them a heads up that he was going long.... IIRC, he would do this for Ghost to Ghost or The New Years' shows. Night of 9/11 might have been 5 hrs too as well.

he has tinnitus real bad. He might still do a little local radio stuff in Minneapolis.  He tweeted earlier this year a tease about some new podcast.

Someone here told me yesterday that he just got his PhD and just got hired as a part time professor.  He retired from his local show in MN... Yeah, he moved and went back to school for his PhD after retiring from radio.

ps: his "War of the Worlds"-esque "World War Z" episode is one of my favorite C2Cs ever. He pulled it off really well. Basically interviewing after the aftermath of the zombie disease. Not that I believed but the way he and guest did it, was really good. While I was listening I was like: this is going to be a movie. Movie not nearly as good as that Ian show.

I have that show burned on CDs somewhere around here...

My close friend Ian Punnett! Looking good man!

I remember having to pull out an old radio, sit it in the kitchen, and play with it to pull in Coast to Coast Live out of a station up in Canada.  I miss Ian.  His shows are becoming hard to find nowadays.  Wish he had an ultimate collection torrent.

I can imagine what the Facebook comments would be like for a promotional reference for MITD.

"...Do you think if it turns out that aliens really are angels that I'll have to reconsider my position on athiesm?"

There was a part of the series "The Story Of God" done by National Geographic hosted by Morgan Freeman that talked about that.  Atheists brains act differently than religious/ spiritual people's brains.

Reconsidering may not work.
