Yes, Nooron is correct.  The show was originally about politics, and Art continued to do political topics throughout the years.

And just today there is this bit of news:

for not following my own directive. This thread was supposed to be about annoyances disregarding politics. But it is too easy to slip off the path and forget the intial intent.

you guys for not reading the first post in the thread.

I know, but it is really hard when your day to day life is controlled more and more by Marxists.  I'll just leave it at that.

Can you show me where anyone in the White House is now denying having attributed the attack on the video? Was the administration supposed to know exactly what transpired immediately after it happened?

When I see two or three pieces of evidence from the field showing this was about a video I will believe it.  However, the administration has yet to produce any evidence that it was about a video.  All we have is their word, and that is not good enough.

QuoteNo it isn't. The CIA wanted the administration and congress to refrain from calling it a terrorist attack. Investigations as to what transpired and who was involved is still ongoing. I honestly fail to see the controversy.

Then they should not have blamed it on a video.  They should have said that an investigation was on going as to why the CIA annex was attacked.

Which leads me to another thought.  The CIA annex was attacked on the night the ambassador was having meetings with a Turkish official, and this just happens to be the same night a bunch of folks find out about a video.  Yeah, maybe, but not likely.

But what about our incoherent gharble of right-wing conspiracies, huh? The right can't even decide on which Benghazi conspiracy angle to agree on and go with. Help was sent, but the attack was over before they got there. Can you come up with a concern that isn't based on Glenn Beck style conspiracy crap? I don't think so.

No doubt that there are some, really out there conspiracy theories about Benghazi.  I am not sure which you are referring to though.  We need to base a theory on evidence.  At this point, an absence of knowledge exists to form conclusions.  Still, we do know somethings.  Therefore, people will try to fill in the holes.   I believe there should be a variety of ideas, so we can argue and discuss and come to more reasoned explanations of what happened.  I am not sure why you suppose there should be one unified theory at this point.  It seems to me that even scientists studying the universe have differing approaches.

It is deception of the current administration.  How does a supporter of the President rationalize the false stories that were told?

Things That Annoy You...

Wal-mart and the other big box stores opening on Thanksgiving evening.  Retail workers deserve at least 2 holidays off each year.  What these retailers are doing is disgusting.

Support the retail workers, support their strike, don't shop on Thanksgiving, and call the big box stores to complain.

Thanks for reading.

what a bummer... but i NEVER FUCKING EVER believed romney could defeat obama.  i voted for romney, but expected a total defeat.

I voted for Romney.  The guy is likable enough. I think he has a lot more knowledge on how to run an economy than Obama does.  Obama hasn't offered anything except a spending and a Federal Reserve inflating our currency.  Romney, not my first choice, but we had to do our best to get rid of Obama.

I showed in another thread, using logic and reason, that the President, at his Rose Garden address, did not acknowledge that the embassy attack was a planned attack at.  Instead, he tried to put the blame on a YouTube video.  For a fortnight his administration touted the YouTube lie, misleading the American people.  At the second presidential debate the President claimed he had used "act of terror" to describe the attack at the Rose Garden.  The debate was the President's second lie.  Today Reuters released an article in which they show, using administration e-mails, that the President was a aware of the attack at the time it occurred.

1. The lie about the video (Rose Garden)

2. The lie at the second debate.
3. The lie of omission, the President actually knew all along.

Due to the contract dispute he probably didn't want to work too hard for his former employer.

just a waste of logic here. You want to place significance to when and what meaning to terror is used, by all means go for it. but it is a waste.

You mean to dismiss that the President misled people, and got help from a member of the media in doing so.

This is one of the most specious threads going.

Of course Obama wants all our dignitaries killed because he is a muslim.

What a bunch of tripe.

And you can prove it because he didn't say terror. Fuck me bloody.

This is the best you guys have?

I guess the above is an option when one runs out of logic.

Whatever context anyone wants to inject there is irrelevant. Romney's argument was that the phrase "act of terror" wasn't used at all, which was untrue. And I note how you guys are wont to pluralize the quote.

Yes, "act of terror" was not used on that day, but "acts of terror was".  The difference is substantial when given the context. Romney was referring to an organized and planned attack.  The President was referring acts of terror in general.

Romney: You didn't say act of terror.

Obama: Yes I did.

Crowley: Yes he did.

Transcript: "act of terror"

It's pretty straight forward.

Yes it is, and Obama, on that day, never called what happened in Benghazi a terrorist attack.

QuoteObama: “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.”

"So what I want all of you to know is that we are going to bring those who killed our fellow Americans to justice. I want people around the world to hear me: To all those who would do us harm, no act of terror will go unpunished."

Okay, once again the President in this sentence does not directly call the Benghazi a terrorist attack.  He refers broadly to "acts of terror".  This is not the same thing as saying, "This act of terror will go unpunished".
