In questioning Comey, McCain appears to be very confused and/or under the influence.  This has got to be a headline.

How do you like them apples?  It just keeps getting worse and worse for you doesn't it?   How many more anonymous claims against Trump that turn out to be bogus will it take before you realize that your hatred for Trump has impaired your judgement and made you a sucker for the fiction that the openly hostile corporate MSM counts on you to swallow whole.  How many more tortured scenarios for Trump's demise cynically postulated by establishment politicians on the basis of leaks of misleading information and outright lies by entrenched bureaucrats who are fearful of Trump's plans to clean house will you attach your hopes to and be be bitterly disappointed by when they fail to play out as you hoped?  I guess that depends on the degree of ones denial and tolerance for embarrassment.

Its hilarious I know how against the rules that exchange is, and you don't, or don't care.

That does take guts in rural America (more than I have). PB assures me that his team are "Law and Order" pussy-cats whereas it's the Liberals who are the violent aggressive ones. The article mentions courageous Right-Wing male truckers "blowin coal" at the woman protest marchers -- you know "Real", "Great", "Heartland", "Churchy" American male stock!  But then again it's PBS so it must be biased -- we're just not hearing "the other side" of the story. ;D

I do believe what we are witnessing some sort of electronic sex act going on between Meister and Uhura wherein they share their sexual fantasies.  I wonder if they leave a digital wet spot somewhere out there in cyber space.

So much emphasis is being placed on the ex-FBI guys testimony.  Well here's a thought, what if the dude is telling lies?  I mean damn near everybody lies.  Just because this guy was the head of the FBI makes him holier than you or I?  He could say 'Trump told me this and Trump told me that' but he could be making up lies.  Plus those all important memos.  Well, those can be lies as well, only in written form.  I guess I'm just saying that perhaps some recorded tapes 'Ala Nixon' would be handy in the investigation rather than somebody saying 'he said or she said,' especially when such importance is being placed on what is being said.

So, you think Comey has twice committed perjury?  What would his purpose in doing that be?

My my the desperation is palpable. The WH staffers and Trump lawyers are shitting themselves over what (not if) Trump will tweet during Comey's testimoney.

And there's the ones today that three of those who've had to try and field Trump's attempt to interfere with justice. I feel sorry for the DAG (Sessions apparently offered his notice because Trump blames him for recusing himself) because he and Sessions had already written up their reasons for sacking Comey (he'd been bad to Clinton), took it to Trump, who then went on tv to say whatever they'd said was irrelevant because he'd have sacked him anyway because of Russia. Himself, foot, shoot.

Even when he he has people watching his back he can't help throwing them under the bus because it has to be about him. And only him.

If any one person hurts Trump irrecoverably, it will be Trump.

You still don't get it.  The left's continuing irrational malevolence and dishonest and laughably petty criticism of Trump and his family make him bulletproof.  He is trying to do what he was elected to do and the Ds are looking more and more like the  anti-American obstructionists and gaggle of extreme leftists that they have become.  As a measure of the state of the Democrat party, please name for us a Democrat that enjoys a popularity that extends beyond the diminished Democrat base that now is comprised only of the MSM and those who are constitutionally incapable of recognizing or don't care about the corruption that is endemic to that party.    The electorate will long remember the blatant dishonesty and criminal practices of Clinton and Obama as they are uncovered through the ongoing investigations, which, ironically, the Dems have insisted on.

As I write this I am hearing an analysis of Comey's opening statement that clearly validates all that Trump has said about his conversations with Comey.  When do you think any of the wrongdoing that you alledge and have been railing about ad absurdum will turn out to have any basis in fact?  It's clear that you and others among the unhinged Trump haters posting here are victims of a MSM that has been successful in selling it's bullshit narrative to willing dupes.  Does that not embarrass you all just a bit?

Leave it to you to falsly equate, conflate, misrepresent and dementedly "interpret" reality.

Muslims, maybe? How much are our societies supposed to take before we ask a question: the behavior of Islam and the goals of Islam hasn't changed much iin centuries and like the other times in history when they wanted to invade Europe. Now due to technology and political correctness it just is easier to attack randomly. It took pogroms, wars, and even putting them on pikes as a warning in some cases. Back then Europeans didn't accept a "new normal" of being killed, enslaved, or invaded.

"... Turkish messengers came to [Vlad] to pay respects, but refused to take off their turbans, according to their ancient custom, whereupon he strengthened their custom by nailing their turbans to their heads with three spikes, so that they could not take them off.
â€" Antonio Bonfini: Historia Pannonica"

Obviously I'm not advocating genocide or something like targeting Muslims for death, but just a no more Muslim immigrant policy and surveilling/monitoring of the mosques, schools, and Muslims currently residing in our countries. No more political correctness and hand-wringing and worrying about their feelings. Bans on Halal shops, Muslim garb in public or schools, and no more Mosque building. No Muslim schools allowed. You are Muslim, you are an immigrant you are presumed to be a suspect. Don't like the extra scrutiny or "profiling?" Then move back to some Muslim land or your country.
[/quote]

Quote from Kidnostad3 on May 22, 2017,
I agree 100%.  It's not Eskimo communities in which Muslims who are citizens of a western nation or hold various types of resident visas are radicalized, develop their support networks, conceal themselves and thrive.   It's a mathematical certainty that the threat of terrorism in western nations increases in direct proportion to the number of muslims residing in the nation.  For every Muslim who actively participates in efforts to identify potential terrorists within their community there are 10,000 who do not.  There will be no real cooperation from Muslims in stopping terrorists until the community as a whole feels pressure to cooperate and I am for any legal means available to exert that pressure to include revocation of citizenship and deportation of those who have  knowledge of a planned attack and do not report it.

Muslims should feel a collective guilt for the heinous acts of members of their peaceful religion but I have yet to see it manifested.  I have never heard a Muslim offer anything but weak lip service in condemning these attacks. What I have heard is the conviction expressed by believers, ostensibly with no connection to these bloodlettings, that these acts of terrorism are the will of Allah and nothing more than chickens coming home to roost in western nations.   I think that it is naive to the point of foolhardiness to believe that a majority of expatriate Muslims have an abiding loyalty to their new countries  and are not sympathetic to a large degree with their fellow believers who slaughter innocents in the name of Allah.  The deafening silence of the Muslim community in the face of attacks on their adopted homelands amounts to tacit approval of the heinous acts of their coreligionists.

As it stands Muslims are treated like an unassailable privileged minority and woe betide anyone who points out the obvious evils of their belief system and their duplicity in dealing with non Muslims.  Their good book tells the faithful that it is okay to lie to and take advantage of the infidel and it sanctions the assassination of those who speak ill of Islam or the Prophet.  What's more, it is a central tenant of the religion that Allah has ordained that all peoples of the world will bow to Islam and that it is the duty of the faithful to strive towards that end.  What will it take to convince the bleeding heart liberal apologists for Islam that these are broadly held articles of faith and not just faulty interpretation of Islamic scripture by a few outlying sects.  Did not Erdogen in a recent public statement urge expat muslims to outbreed the people of their host countries in order to achieve the critical mass necessary to control the culture and political system?  Why is it so difficult for some to believe Islamist when they freely proclaim that their aim is to destroy western culture and for them to stop supporting government policies that facilitate accomplishment of this evil objective?  One is tempted to recommend that they remove their heads from their asses.

I'm sick to death of this shit.  It is not right.

There was a time when I had a live and let live attitude towards gays.  I now see where benevolent acceptance of the lifestyle is not enough for them.  They now demand that everyone must unconditionally approve of what 4% of the population practices.  Guess what.  By every definition of the word, homosexuality is deviant behavior and many find it disgusting despite efforts to represent it in the media and the movies as something wholesome.  Militant gays should think twice about pushing the limits of what the average open minded straight person will tolerate, especially when it comes to their efforts to sell their lifestyle to children.  In my opinion they are getting dangerously close to the point where their militancy will be met with a strong counter movement.  Throughout history periods of rampant permissiveness have been followed by an era of restraint and reform.  One cannot fail to notice that throughout the Nation and the world the pendulum has begun to swing in that direction.

The oval office incident? The Russians posted that one, and various staffers went apeshit and reported it to the NSA. Trump later (in Israel) tried to sooth things by saying (and I don't know what the Israelis thought, but I wasn't entirely convinced) that he never mentioned the word or country of Israel to the Russians. So that's alright then.

The sub thing? The Philippine goverment posted the transcript of the phone call that Trump had with their president on the net. Its there if you want to look.

BFD.  This is more of the same shit you've been swallowing for months.  See my post below. The fact that there are submarines in the vicinity of NK is not only unclassified, it's common knowledge.  The article reads like he passed on the subs exact position in terms of lat. and long which is something only those onboard  know.  Not even the operational commander knows exactly where they are as per doctrine.  Oh, and guess what. There have probably been subs in the vicinity at all times for years.  That's what submariners get paid to do. But don't tell  anybody.

Other than providing some aid to refugees and some of the poor of the world, can someone remind me of what the U.N. has done to improve relations between the nations of the world or to stop conflicts or for that matter to improve the human condition in any significant way.  It does nothing that couldn't be accomplished less expensively and more effectively by other means.  The only time that I can recall the UN taking effective action to stop aggression was when the U.N. Security Council voted to create a multinational force to counter North Korea's invasion of  South Korea and that was only because the Soviet Ambassador to the UN was absent.  It is a bloated, useless bureaucracy that is riddled with corruption.  The U.S should withdraw from the U.N. and give it 2 years to find a new home.  Maybe the U.K. would like to host the U.N.

Having back channels is a good move. They have helped in the past.  I understand you leftists and neo-cons (strange bedfellows) want a new Cold War, or in some cases, a hot one. But I would rather engage in business, rather than war. We've dealt with corrupt countries and even dictators throughout history (look to the Gulf for a few examples or all our business with the Chinese.) Having said that I don't trust the Russians but would rather do oil&gas and mineral deals than have a war. And bring stability to the region and fight the common enemy of Islam. Maybe even, ideally, breaking up the somewhat cosy relationship developing between Russia and China. Obviously we need to be wary and defend allied countries in NATO. And if there was an corruption going between Trump, Clinton, Trump's family, various Foundations, government officials etc with Russia then they should be punished. The investigations should continue but be actual investigations and evidence- not just "fake news" conspiracy theories peddled by partisan "news" organizations.

Obama allowed lots of information about our "subs" and "spooks," and military members as well as ordinary Americans. Just the OPM leak gave even fingerprints and background checks of soldiers and spies out to the world. Manning, Snowden, etc, all on Obama's watch, gave even more information to the world. Under Obama China executed or imprisoned most of our "sources" according to the NY Times (a right-wing, hack-job of a newspaper.) Obama pardoned Manning because he "transitioned."

Anyone remember Carter Page? The one time advisor to Trump with numerous speech appointments in Russia? Well, you remember how when the FBI paid attention to his admission on telly to Chris Hayes that he'd met (maybe  ;)) Kislyak (Russian ambassador and spy recruiter) at the RNC, he then went on studio round robin interviews with his beaming smile? Then he didn't. He went quiet and frowned a lot.

Then Spicy said with a straight face that Trump had never met him (although Trump picked him from a list) and was but a mere extra in the great Trump epic movie. Nothing to see. Page under the bus. Page frowned some more.

This yesterday from Trump.

“So now it is reported that the Democrats, who have excoriated Carter Page about Russia, don’t want him to testify. He blows away their case against him & now wants to clear his name by showing ‘the false or misleading testimony by James Comey, John Brennan…’ Witch Hunt!”

Other than implying that Comey and Brennan have committed perjury, he also makes the assertion that Page can prove their testimonies are wrong. How does he know that?  He's never met Page apparently.  ::)

Curiouser and curiouser.  ;)

You don't suppose Trump has sources that supply him with information do you?  How about the NYC lawyer he recently hired who would be expected to seek out and validate all information that tends to refute false claims about Trump and his associates.    Expect much more along the same lines.  There will be a systematic dismantling of the false narrative promulgated by a MSM that desperately wants to believe all that the frantic leftist and deep state conspirators allege against Trump.  You and the other Trump-hating saps who enjoy rolling in this unadulterated horse shit will suffer the same humiliation you did when Trump was elected.  But, not to worry--no one on this thread will rub your noses in your demonstrated foolishness for more than a month or two and it will be brought up only occasionally after that.

Oh shall we start with working as a paid agent to Turkey? Lying on his application for security clearance, and sitting in on classified meetings having lied about his financial ties to the Kremlin. I can imagine the froth coming out of your mouth if that had been a Clinton appointee. And if it hadn't been the WP revealing it, no doubt he'd still be there, a blackmail risk. That he'd admitted to being but ignored by Trump until the WP did the story.

Stop there. Kushner proposing it last December, (When Trump said he wasn't having family in the WH, and therefore Kushner hadn't been granted security clearance) when he was still a 'civilian' and for his own ends, is not the same as for example Kissinger doing it to do a deal with Khrushchev to avoid a nuclear war. Kushner was trying to do it for himself, not America.

And what else has he 'forgot' to mention? If that's all it is, why is he invoking the fifth? Yet his lawyer says he has a story to tell? Remember Flynn saying asking immunity implies guilt? Remember that?

They are if the senate or the FBI have already announced they're being investigated before Trump takes out his shredder.. Who deletes e mails in their entirety? Trump used to buy time in his many times as the one being sued by destroying records and asking for extensions to find information, then low and behold, that info couldn't be found.

Gangsters are more subtle than that.

You sure like to bet on the come. So far neither Flynn nor anyone else has been charged with a crime.   I predict that you will be very disappointed with the outcome of the various ongoing investigations but undeterred you will be quick to say that a fix was in and that the guilty bastards are getting away with all manner of dastardly crimes.

Because what he drones on about endlessly never was, or will ever be. It's simply The Musings of Paper*Boy without a devoted thread. Get it?

Tipping your hat to a Banana Republic leaders extrajudicial killings, and other possible lawless actions. While more or less in the same breath preaching the unassailable virtues of the Constitution of The United States of America, just doesn't add up for me. The ends justifying the means, isn't Rule of Law or Due Process. The Constitution was set up in such a way as to prevent any single branch of government from making the USA another shithole banana republic.

Men and women died for what the Constitution stands for. Tipping your hat to Banana Republic leader over his lawless actions, because the ends justifies means. Somewhat degrades the men and women who served, and gave their lives protecting our Constitution and freedoms protected by said document. YMMV.

If Rule of Law and Due Process isn't being followed... You and your bloviating keyboard commandos need to set all the congressmen, senators, lawyers, and judges straight about the jobs they do everyday. Doing such shouldn't be hard with all the facts and logic your team has on its side. However that would require leaving the keyboard, and doing real work. Instead of trying to score points, and virtue signal strangers on the internet.

I make no arguments for any single ideology. It's truly pathetic and speaks volumes to the simple empty mindedness that you try and attribute to me arguing a Ideology. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything.

Go ahead motherfuckers, burn it all down! I dare you! I can rise from the ashes stronger than before. This is what I was born for, and trained to do. Where I am in the world makes no difference.
