That Tricia McCannon is nuts. That story about the Antarctic Nazi base is so freaking ridiculous. And did you know the ice sheets on Antarctica are up to eleven miles thick? That's 58,080 feet! Who knew Antarctic ice sheets were 20,000 higher than Mt. Everest! And apparently there are holes on both ends of the earth. Which is fine (!) in Antarctica, but how do you pull that off in the Arctic that is, oh nothing, just an ocean! And there's a dim sun inside the earth. I wish Jorch would ask her how water doesn't pour through that Arctic hole and put out the inner sun, but that would require him paying attention to his guests' nonsense stories. Oy vey! And the way she constantly praised Jorch's questions made me angry. His questions are many things but never praiseworthy!!!

I didn't see this mentioned here but this explanation about the staircases in the woods makes sense to me: when the forest service / national parks / whatever buy private land, they raze unused existing structures (but leave the foundations steps or stairways) to allow the land to revert back to the wild.

And what I'm saying is is that...
What it was is is that...
And what I mean by that is is that...
The point being is is that...
Here's what I'm saying, what I mean is is that...
And I'll say this, what I'm saying is is that...
And why I'm saying this is simply this, it's that...

Quayle's syntax is aggressively annoying.

What's with all these fawning callers?  Every damn nite.  "Wow you're really hitting it out of the park, George!"  "You're just doing a great job!"  "Mr. Noory it's an honor to speak with you, I just love your show!"

This! I don't get it either.

Random Topics / Re: Old plane buffs?

Huge WWII plane buff here. I've decorated my home with lithographs and prints signed by the original pilots. Love the Luftwaffe jets with a passion. Those evil geniuses! My favorite print is of Ar234s and Me262s bombing the bridge at Remagen. First combined jet bomber and fighter mission in history. Cheers.

From the Time Magazine article:

• What does Bell think of the man who replaced him on Coast, George Noory? He’s a lazy broadcaster, Bell says, indifferent to what he puts on the air. “This fellow, half the time, he doesn’t sound like he’s listening to his guest. He’ll come back and ask a question that had just been answered five minutes previously. Or he’ll inject a complete non sequitur. The guest will be talking about Bigfoot, and he’ll ask, ‘Well, does that have something to do with angels?’” Worse, “there’s a lot more politics in it, a lot more medical crap in it, a lot of New Age-y crap that I won’t touch. I prefer science.” Bell hopes competition will raise all boats. “It betterâ€"otherwise George’ll be a submarine.” Fans seem to agree: The first Google autocomplete hit on Noory’s name is “George Noory sucks.”

Did anyone read the Time article yet? This is awesome:

I am listening to the on-demand replay of last night's show right now on my computer at work.

Greatest. Show. Ever! Thank you Art. Late nights are fantastic again!

Art Bell!!! What Michio says, I believe, as opposed to Major Ed Dames who I find weirdly amusing. Oh dear, Michio says the earth will soon be laid barren...somehow I'm afraid now, so late 1990s...I love it! Cheers everyone!

I feel like a kid again! It's 1997 and I'm loving every minute of the great Art Bell!!!

Radio and Podcasts / Re: Art Bell free live stream

I ponied up $25 for the six months promotion, then we'll see. But a free stream would be AWESOME! Cheers.

I bought a Secret Luftwaffe Projects of WWII book from Amazon by a guest a few months ago. 10 years ago I almost ALMOST bought a CC radio until I went to the website and saw the outrageous prices.

I really hate the EVP people with the recordings of "ghosts" supposedly talking that it takes three tries to understand what they think they're hearing and even then it doesn't make sense. Oh brother.

Oh, what about that redneck that bought himself some purdy night-vision goggles at Walmart and spends his nights staring at the sky with his idiot offspring watching 'space battles' between the good and bad UFOs. That guy is priceless.

Back from the Art Bell days, there was this fool named Jose Escamilla with his retarded 'flying rods' BS. (Just pictures of blurred bugs in flight.) Oh man, I wanted to throw the radio out the window when he was on, and Art seemed to really enjoy his nonsense.

Thank the gods this sorum exists. It's about time too!!! You know a 'host' sucks when even a casual listener knows more about the subject matter. Most of his shows he's reading prepared questions and just surfing the web during the guests' answers. He's just ridiculous. Cheers.

You don't spell-check that letter to the senator. Really? WTF?

Hoaxland is awesome. His snide mocking of Snoory et al is just great. I love him for that and nothing else. His 'science' is $hite. Cheers.

My favorite 'prediction' was the white van with four people inside on the 5 Freeway headed towards the San Onofre nuclear plant to blow it up or some nonesense. I remember laughing at the time then thinking, what if he's right? Then remembering that it just Ed Dames, so no worries. What a buffoon. Cheers.

I've been listening to C2C for 10+years and have always thought LMH seems really, really bored reading her prepared statements between the recorded interviews. And her voice irritates me. Not my favorite guest. Cheers.
