I've always thought that driers come with an invisible mini black hole and that's why you can never find the missing sock when the wash is done. It gets sent through the black hole to the planet of lost socks. Similarly there is a planet for lost keys, wallets, combs, brushes, purses, etc.


Mail that shows up years later at the original address on the envelope is sent to its own planet to where there's time displacement and periodically mail is propelled back to the post office to be finally delivered.
