I was looking for a triad and before LaRouche and Bruno Ganz, there was a lion of talk radio, the late, great, and inimitable Bruce Williams!

:'(

"Hello there friends, welcome to my world."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Williams_(talk_radio_host)

Bruce H. Williams
Born   February 18, 1932
Died   February 9, 2019 (aged 86)
Florida, U.S.
Occupation   Radio host, entrepreneur, writer
Years active   1975â€"2013

Williams was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 1999 and has since been listed as the sixth greatest talk show host in radio history by Talkers Magazine.[6] Williams ran an advice show focused on personal business matters such as real estate transactions, career planning, entrepreneurship, and travel until the September 11, 2001 attacks. At that time, the show became a mix of business and politics, and every show ended with the song God Bless America.

Right on!

The guys was a successful business owner on so many fronts. Advice from him was actually useful.

https://radioink.com/2019/02/11/hall-of-famer-bruce-williams-dies/

"Born February 18, 1932, Williams grew up in East Orange, New Jersey. Blessed with an innate sense of business, at age 11, he devised a way to address one of the many shortages common at the end of World War II by melting down lead pipes and casting them into toy soldiers. Eyes wide open, he was off and running, pursuing every avenue where he believed a profit could be made.

After serving in the Air Force during the Korean conflict and graduating from Newark State College (now Kean University), he opened a pre-school named after his children. He spent time driving an ice cream truck in New York City. He was also a taxi driver and drove a beer truck. For seventy years of his life, he spent the holiday season selling Christmas trees in New Jersey. On the white-collar side, Williams sold insurance, owned a flower shop, a car rental agency, a barber shop and he owned and operated several nightclubs. There was even a whirlwind tour into the world of politics where the Honorable Bruce H. Williams was elected to the Franklin, New Jersey Township Council, as well as serving terms as Deputy Mayor and Mayor between 1967 and 1975."

The great Bruce Williams several days ago. Sucks he was one of the greats in radio. Who will advise me about my time-share beach condo or whether I should invest in my brother-in-law's dry-cleaning business now?!!??

Peter Tork of the Monkey's ...

https://www.pennlive.com/nation-world/2019/02/monkees-peter-tork-dies-at-77.html
"In 1967, according to one report in The Washington Post, the Monkees sold 35 million albums - “twice as many as the Beatles and Rolling Stones combined” - on the strength of songs such as “Daydream Believer,” “I’m a Believer” and “Last Train to Clarksville,” which all rose to No. 1 on the Billboard record chart."

Some great songs from them, that are still enjoyable.  When I hear one, it really reminds of a more innocent-feeling time.

I saw a documentary on the Monkees, I came away with the opinion Tork was the most talented of the four "band" members.  Great musician/multi instrumentalist and a better actor than the others.  Always tough to play the dumb role.

When I was a kid the big debate was whether it was The Beatles or The Monkey's who was actually preforming while The Partridge Family 'sang'.

Ha!  l'll take any of those groups over the Auto-Tune crap that's churned out, these days.  Everything sounds like some whiny bitch bloviating through a harmonica.

RIP director Stanley Donen, 94, of Singin' In the Rain and Charade fame.

"death of KTLA Morning News reporter and weekend anchor Chris Burrous is being investigated as a possible overdose, police said Thursday. Burrous was found unresponsive at a Days Inn in Glendale after a male he was with called authorities around 1:15 p.m"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_i_hOEGcug

QuoteChris Burrous, 43 â€" who anchored KTLA 5’s Weekend Morning News and once worked at WPIX 11 in the Big Apple â€" died from “methamphetamine toxicity,” the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office announced Friday, the station reported. His death was ruled accidental.

Authorities found Burrous unresponsive in a room in a Glendale Days Inn, after a male companion called 911 to report that the newsman vomited, passed out, and “was possibly not breathing,” the report stated. Burrous was rushed to an area hospital, where he died.

Earlier, Burrous was engaging in “various sexual activities with his companion” whom he had met four times before through the Grindr app, the report said, according to Variety.

At some point during the romp, Burrous inserted a “rock” of meth into his rectum, the autopsy report said, the outlet reported.
He inserted a second rock later on in the encounter, placed a mask on and “doused the filters with ‘poppers,’” an inhalant of amyl nitrate, the report said.
