George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

Gyoza Girl

Pretty good show last night! I used to like John Zaffis' TV show where he would go to people's homes and retrieve their haunted objects. But that one caller last night who said that ever since he kicked out his roommate, who was a Bernie Bro, his cat has been reacting negatively to images of Hillary Clinton -- I'm not sure his story is believable.

I also liked how George said he doesn't vote and made it sound like it's in the grand tradition of journalism, because he once heard Walter Cronkite say he doesn't vote. Way to discharge your duties as a citizen!

For what it's worth, Bob Woodward, at least at the time of the writing of For All the President's Men, also wrote that  he doesn't vote and doesn't believe that journalists should vote.  Carl Bernstein disagreed and thought that the idea that a reporter would be neutral by simply not voting was silly.

But, Bernstein is clearly wrong about that.  I mean, obviously Noory is neutral because he, most of the time, has Howard Bloom on every time 'Dr' John Curtis is on.  That he also has other guests during the news segment who promote Trump like Greg Hunter who aren't balanced and that he's also had two Trumptards (liar Jerome Corsi and I forget the other) who have written dishonest anti Clinton books on the main show but not had anybody on to discuss Trump on the main show is purely coincidental.

As we all know, Noory says all the time "There's every such thing as coincidences.  Coincidences happen all the time."

Yep, that's for sure! I had to laugh the other night when George said he has people accusing him of being for Trump, as well as people accusing him of being for Hillary. I thought, "Who the heck thinks he's for Hillary?" And yet he claims he's not trying to influence us, but just bringing us information so that we can make an informed decision.

He had Hillary nemesis Dick Morris on a few months ago to discuss his book. Maybe that's the other person you were thinking of. I think George said he might invite Morris for his five-hour election night special.

Didn't know that about Woodward's and Bernstein's dueling opinions -- thanks!

Yes, Dick Morris was the other one.  Thanks.

Don't know how I could forget that.  "Someday maybe I'll remember to forget" Dylan (though he probably stole it from somebody else)

If Noory was truly interested in presenting us information to help people decide on the election he could also have the filmmakers of the 1991 documentary "Trump: What's the Deal" on his program
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jesse-kornbluth/25-years-ago-a-documentar_b_9727252.html?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4964780/

Kornbluth wrote the script of the documentary, but he didn't do the research.

Or, he could have Tony Schwartz on, the man who wrote Trump's "The Art of the Deal" says he now regrets writing it and now tweets about what a vile person Trump really is.

George Noory is on a campaign to have Halloween celebrated on the last Friday of October.  If it is not on the 31st, it is not Halloween, George. ::)

I believe we can rest easy if this is like his campaign to "Save Thuh Grid!"

August 04, 2014
George Noory has announced a campaign to protect and insulate the U.S. power grid against an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) event or attack via nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles and solar flares, all of which could endanger the lives of millions of Americans. More on the campaign at WND.

However, we do need to fear the inevitable creation of HalloweeniesDate.com

Haha that's funny, I missed that.  I did however catch that rather strange exchange where George tried to convince this guy he'd dreamt a meeting they'd had during an event which had not yet taken place.  Even though after the call he disclosed to us 'in on the joke' that it had.  I guess this was one of his wacky 'pranks' but the poor guy really sounded like he thought he might be losing it.

He's also on a campaign to make sure people get "supplements" when they need them.  I guess Joel Wallach's commercial spots are not enough and he needs a kickback.  I (We) have heard a lot of dumb ideas out of Noory, BUT...supplements?  Isn't that similar to giving medical advice which Noory says he doesn't do?

I heard that too, and I thought it was kinda mean! The guy sounded so confused, and George really dragged it out. Nice way to treat "Barry" from the Carolinas, who was so helpful in promoting George's Asheville event!

I heard this as well.  It was sad when Noory commented after their conversation, "He'll figure it out" and then mentioned he had to say that before Barry 'got back to his radio'.  Maybe Barry reminds George of one of his pets he had as a kid.

Uncle Duke

Early in the open lines segment last night, George took a call from a guy who said he had something on Hillary that would wreck her campaign.  Just before George dumped him, the caller said something like, "Why did she and Bill have a meeting in 1995 with Steve....".  I think that caller was the "Stephen King killed John Lennon" loon who's been around for years.  Anyone else have thoughts on that call?

Barry sounded genuinely bewildered. I hope he doesn't show up at the theater in two weeks.

I missed this part, but I'm shocked that George hung up on someone who was going to say something negative about Hillary, no matter how loony it is.

I had just gotten a fresh cup of coffee and taken a sip when caller, obvious astonishment in his voice, replied to Georges' suggestion that perhaps the ex-roommate had hexed the cat, "Socialists can do that?!?!"...I spent the next few minutes cleaning the coffee from my computer screen and keyboard. Yup, I executed a perfect classic spit-take. Still makes me grin thinking of that exchange! :P

I have begun going to bed earlier, reading, or watching movies, or catching up with the latest show I have missed.

It is such a shame since I was such a dedicated coast listener.

I wasn't aware of any issues between the two until I heard G.N.'s remark about R.H. It gets much more difficult to stomach listening to George as time goes by. It was in the 90's when I first became a regular listener to C2C with Art Bell. After Noory took over, the nights I listened began to gradually diminish until I only listened to the program on weekends with John B. I really looked forward to JBW's shows and was very happy when he became the regular weekend host! When John B. Wells was no longer part of C2C I seldom listened unless it is a guest host. It is sad to see the unique, interesting show that Coast to Coast once was, dragged down to what it is now. :( Thank goodness for Caravan to Midnight!

C2C with Dave Noorie has been crap for years.  The only time I listen now are LMH and Knapp nights, unless I want to laugh at Noory's nightly trainwreck.

I feel that Georgie is a lot like Trump. I'll leave it at that.

Keep in mind Georgie said Trump "slaughtered" Clinton in the first debate.  ;)  The scientific polls showed otherwise. I caught Robert Reich claiming Dick Morris is one of the most narcissistic people he's ever met. He should know being he's worked with a number of very large egos. On the subject of fair and balanced, I'm sure Georgie will invite author and investigative journalist David Cay Johnston on the show within the next few weeks as proof of his being neutral and balanced. Johnston isn't quite as favorable in his assessment of Trump as is Georgie.

So many ads on the show these days.  You barely get to hear the bumpers at all which often ironically is a good thing.

The list of songs played as bumper music includes a link to some streaming service and that includes these songs.  I think if the artists didn't feel that this was at least better than nothing, no 'emerging artist' (or hardly any) would still be sending in songs to be played anymore.

That aside, when I was in the U.B.C mental health facilities for a month or so in 2010 (I've twice had my OCD- now well under control, that combined with a general anxiety disorder- that I no longer have, that led me to fear germs in a way that was completely disconnected from reality that led me to being involuntarily placed in a facility as I was correctly deemed a threat to myself), there was a patient with me who was retired from the music business (he played a number of jazz instruments) and may have been in the music promotion business as well.  He tried to get some band that he heard live onto Ellen.  When that failed, I told him about the 'emerging artists' and he replied "when it comes to jazz, if the whole piece isn't played, it's pointless."

I have no idea what he was doing in there.  He had rather loud discussions with the psychiatric nurses that made it clear he got placed in there for complimenting a young woman on her looks. It makes no sense to me that he could be involuntarily placed in a mental health facility for that, but the nurses' replies to him also made it clear that was, in fact, why he was in there, and nothing more.

In my first time there I met the brother of a well known local politician and a renowned, though not famous artist.  I also met a complete jerk who was a fiddler of some renown.  On one occasion he made a comment apropos of nothing while we were on a group walk of "I've lived on a farm, and I can tell you that sex with farm animals is much more common than you think."  I hated him because it came out he masturbated in the shower and didn't even at least clean up after himself.

I also met a woman there where it became evident to me how strange mental illness can be.  She would babble on and on about a number of strange things but one time after I dried some dishes, she was talking to me at the time "So, you've stopped picking your hair."  And I asked out loud, "What should I do with this cloth."  And she immediately replied "Put it in the hamper.  How long has it been since you've stopped picking your hair?"  I then asked her "Good idea, but couldn't it get moldy in there because it's wet."  And she replied "It won't, but you can just leave the lid off the hamper and it will dry. I think it must have been a while since you last picked your hair."

Totally true story.

The second time I was much more disconnected from reality so I didn't pay much attention to the other patients but there was one patient there who would love Coast to Coast.  He'd watch television programs, any television program and reply to the commentary "It's a fraud!"  He told somebody else there "I know you're Boris Yeltsin." and when the genuinely stunned patient replied "but, I don't even look anything like him" he replied "That's your cover."

Boris Yeltsin was also dead, but my fellow patient explained that was faked and that was more evidence this third patient was the real Yeltsin.

Unfortunately my Insomnia is starting and I turned on ctc. They sure don't waste any of their time to put on commercials. Now they are playing commercials over the submerging artists songs. LOL. ctc is just one big commercial after another.

I think George is the only person besides Trump who thinks Trump won that debate. Even Fox News sent out a memo warning its employees not to cite unscientific online polls because "they do not meet our editorial standards."

'Dr.' John Curtis also said originally that Trump won the debate.  Now that the actual scientific polls have come out showing the public, by an overwhelming margin, believes otherwise, he's been forced to adopt new Trumptard talking points.  You can hear on cknw.com in the audio vault the program the day of the debate where heappeared on Coast to Coast and then you can listen to him again last night.  The difference of what he says in the two is dramatic.

But, don't forget, 'Dr' John Curtis is an independent analyst who states his honest opinions, and is in no way affiliated with the Trump campaign.
