And why no UFOs ever seen hovering in the distance in tintypes, American Civil War battle photos, etc?

Those type of photographic systems required long exposure times and would not be able to capture an object in motion.  But other than that I agree with you.

This issue creates a big hole in the notion of UFOs being anything other than hoaxes.  With dash cams and video cameras everywhere, it is now quite common to find footage of traffic accidents.  But back when people were using Super 8 film, it was exceedingly rare.  Traffic accidents, which happened regularly and happened everywhere, were almost never imaged while there was any number of films purporting to show UFOs flying around, which by comparison were uncommon and area-specific events.

Does this disprove the existence of UFOs?  No, but it consistent with those reports being hoaxes while it is inconsistent with them being genuine.  Some folks say, "Well, they can't ALL be hoaxes."  My question is: why not?

b_dubb

Well I've seen three ufo. Two of those sightings were in the presence of others. Had I not seen them myself I would not give the ufo subject must thought.

Yes, they would be blurs at best if moving much at all, which is why I specified "hovering."

I should have said "hovering in place," as that's what I meant.

Far be it for me to spoil the party; but it looks like a bear. And the 'monkey' is a cub. Still, that would be simple explanation.

Bigfoot and UFOlogy provide sociological petri dishes where we can see the how religion and religious faith grow from interpretation, manipulation and exploitation of the unclear and unfamiliar.  The above posted video is a great example of manipulation of perception.

Its a good breakdown. That clips been going around a while. The crew member explanation is a stretch. It's not a bear. Send Bobo to recreate the scene.

True. Similar to how the man made global warming/cooling/climate-change/distruption campaign provides a sociological petri dishe where we can see the how religion and religious faith grow from interpretation, manipulation and exploitation of the unclear and unfamiliar.

Great northern... it's a bear. Exactly the terrain one would see a grizzly in. Size and speed are that of a grizzly. The film is too unfocused to see specifics, but the posture of a bear running on rough open terrain looks similar.

Grizzly bears eat caribou. Grizzly bears live in that environment. So it must be something else.

No not similar; not even a comparison. Climatology is based on verifiable and reproducible scientific data. The other stuff is based on superstition, indoctrination, manipulation and exploitation. I do see though that with limited understanding you'd reach your conclusion.

it is also funded by politicians and governments. which are based in superstition, indoctrination, manipulation and exploitation.

For the benefit of the tldr; crowd, this short animation summarizes what the longer "bigfoot" video is all about:

Please do an analysis before you make such a claim.    You're a genius when it comes to Santa Claus but I don't agree with you, and obviously neither does the guy commenting on the footage.   But, I'm open to listening if you can show why it's a bear.

Absolutely! No agenda driven science there. Like this prediction following hurricane Katrina and the 2005 season: "NOAA PREDICTS VERY ACTIVE 2006 NORTH ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON"

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2006/s2634.htm

And the reality: "The 2006 Hurricane Season Was Near Normal: After the record setting season of 2005 with 27 named tropical cyclones, many meteorologists and hurricane specialists were forecasting another above average hurricane season for 2006, but it didn't happen."

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/archives/2006/normal_2006.html

And even funnier: "The 2006 Atlantic hurricane season was significantly less active than the record previous season. It marked the first since 2001 in which no hurricanes made landfall in the United States"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Atlantic_hurricane_season

The only thing predictable is that leftwing climatologists will continue their tradition of making up a cause for every weather change for the last 40 years, and suggest bigger government, higher taxes, and more regulations as the solution. Be it global cooling/warming/climate-change/disruption. Thats the inconvenient truth.

If this turns out to be a sasquatch in a bear suit, we are fucked four ways to Friday.

You're confusing climate with weather. That's a common trait with that rightwing moonbeam who is parroting their crib sheet of 'blame it all on leftwingers when you haven't a clue what you're talking about, which is most of the time'.

I've hunted grizzly bear. There are a couple "frames" that look exactly like a running grizzly. Yeah the video is out of focus. But as with all things... if you see hoof prints in Alaska think horse not zebra.

You're about to have a very bad day when you see a bear running at you like that.  Climb a tree or curl up in a ball.  And hope the bear isn't that hungry. Or mad.

b_dubb

No it's a sasquatch in a dude suit wearing a bear suit wearing ... wait ... nevermind

Here`s the original documentary. You can see the bear appear at about 08:55 into the video. It shows the bear at a strange angle.

Amazing no one has pointed out the other 2 Sasquatch up the hill from the main Sasquatch. All sharing similar cone shaped heads, pronounced brow-ridge, and exceptional speed. A precision digital enlargement confirms the presence of the more than one man like beast. The debate is over.

Aww bless you; you actually believing it was a debate. But you carry on believing what you do, it's sure to break the ice at any party you get invited to. "Hey guys, did you see the shadows and grizzly bears that look like big foot?"
