Andrew D. Basiago

Did anyone hear this guy the other night? Either George doesn't care or he is in on a scam IMO. This gentleman claimed repeatedly to be a practicing attorney with a busy practice in Vancouver Washington; but a Google search for his law office only turned up one hit and that was one of those free 'business directory' listings with very little info. It looked like something that was thrown together in case someone were to Google him during the show.

Does anyone have access to a directory of lawyer in Vancouver or a Vancouver phone book (frickin' 'pay for phone number sites' have made it impossible to find real directory listings on Google). I can't believe a busy law office would have as little of an online presence as this guy.

I've read someone speculate that he is really david wilcock.

Renaldo

I'm pretty sure he's a fraud.

astroguy

This guy seems to come on about once a year, but this'll be his second time this year.  Anyone remember him?  Life on Mars and Pegasus Project.

I wrote a post about him last year on his appeal to and gross misunderstanding of quantum mechanics.  And I wrote about him 2 years ago on why you can't blow photos up 500%, stretch them, and claim you've found life.

I'm almost "eager" to find out what he's going to say this time!  Looks like it's just going to focus on his time travel story, so we're probably going to hear a lot of appeals to Quantum Mechanics that he doesn't understand.  And I'm sure George is going to give him as credulous an "interview" as always.

BobGrau

Sub-hoagland sci-fi-based barefaced bullshitter. One of the more entertaining ones, but I wouldn't buy his books.

pigtart

I remember his first appearance where he tried to call out I think Donald Rumsfeld to come forward, whom he said was involved with his time traveling experiments as a little kid. He actually sounded quite believable and articulate but the story was waaaay too far out there to believe. I tried researching him on the net and googling his name in the news section and absolutely nothing came up, which means he hasn't been written about or profiled anywhere in any kind of news publication. On YouTube all I could find was cable access looking interviews that he had done with new agers. I mean it just sounds so BS if he could get on Coast without any kind of previous public attention, then why not put on any crackpot.

Morgus

This guy's story is fun at least. Would make a great scifi movie or TV series.
Reminds me of the also fascinating John Titor time travel story.

I remember some people trying to find info on him to verify he actually owns a lawfirm ... and coming up completely empty.  But I try to avoid attacking basic credentials if they're not that important anyway in my blog and podcast. ;)

Um ... they do? :P

SnapT

My favorite Noory C2C guest ever.  Makes an insane, laughable story sound almost believable because of all the strange details he provides.

Would love to hear Art interview him someday...

It sure pays to be an amateur historian if you want to pretend to be a time traveler!

I remember I listened to the whole show this guy was such a good story teller. One of the better details was the kid whose legs got cut off because half his body arrived at a different time. Also how Basiago went back to the civil war as a drummer boy and he had a historical pic with him in it. I don't know why Coast can't just say its a fictional story telling show.

Andrew D. Basiago is one of the few guests worth listening to anymore, lMO. Sure, he's crazier than a shadowrat on LSD but he spins an articulate, interesting yarn. And he doesn't let George talk much.

thats the key to a good noory guest -  needs to keep talking and not let noory get words in edgewise...  ;D

But under that idea, Hoagland is a good guest.  And I would argue strongly against Hoagland being a good guest.

but with Noory he is good, since the goal is to keep Noory himself down to a minimum - no matter what...  8)

Because then George would be admitting that all his crackpot political and health shows are fiction, too.  And that will never happen.  ::)

'Please don't appeal to QM to propagate your pseudeoscience' was really good! I think I will have to listen to this Basiago guy after all, even though I've stopped tuning in during the week.

Thanks. :)

By the way, just checked the shownotes for tonight and Basiago has been relegated to only the second half.

A time-traveling lawyer???  Maybe the dude isn't practicing law under this name.  Because he'd be toast in the legal community.  Seriously.

And the first half will be more of George's beloved and unending economic analyses.  This is what he lives for, Folks.  He thinks he's gonna get the Nobel Prize for bringing us "thuh truth."  :P

Andrew is on C2C right now and mentioned he recently taped a segment with Jesse Ventura for his Conspiracy Theory TV show.
Should be interesting to see him in the future there talking about his chrononaut experience with Project Pegasus.  8)

Nope!  There are hundreds of attorneys of dozens of types in any large town.  Most are Machiavellian liars.  Some are, umm, highly odd.  Used to know an immigration lawyer who read Instauration in his office and was always talking about how he totally supported its philosophy.  Still, he did a good job of getting the vast majority of his non-White clients into the U.S. and was proud of it!  He also talked about his great “family values” when in public -- while privately he watched gay porn.

Andrew referred to Major Ed Dames being part of Project Pegasus decades ago and Noory's staff got Dames on the phone and they ended up in an onair war, labeling each other liars and BSers.
Which one to believe?  8)

SnapT

Major Ed Dames calling in to lay into poor ol' Andy's fantasies!

I wish they gave this the full four hours.

Morgus

Andrew claimed Ed Dames couldn't come clean because of secrecy agreements and is required to use disinformation.  8)

That was great!  Dames sounded far more credible.  He gave the places he was when Basiago alleged he was teaching him how to teleport to Mars (where there were apparently some real life B-Horror Monsters which ate most of the project’s participants).  Basiago’s response: “you can’t define my reality.”  Dames:  ‘also stop e-mailing me with your delusions.’

Morgus

Major Ed Dames used his callin to promote his upcoming remote viewing conferences too.   :P

After Andrew revealed he would be running for President as a democrat in 2016 or 2020, Noory asked him if he would consider as President making Richard Hoagland the head of NASA.  ;D

astroguy

I'm looking forward to snagging these and doing another blog post. :)  Sounds "classic."  ;D

Whoa... can you imagine a world where Andrew Gasbagiago is president and RCH heads up NASA??  What next, Linda Moulton Howe as Sec. of State??  Gerald Celente to head up the Fed??  Maybe he would tap George to head up Intelligence.  Life would be so entertaining under such a scenario.  I wish it could happen for maybe just a few days or a week, just to see what happens.

Wouldn't all brain matter just naturally implode in less than a day?????
