It's one of those rare weekends where MdMd puts the wheels on his house and ventures forth into the light.

Looks like you've got lots of free time with just that one client. ;D

Yes, it's an easy, lucrative gig.  Unlike your job swapping out urinal cakes on the 3 AM shift at Denny's.

I flew Philippine Airlines in the last few years and the plane I took still had ashtrays in the armrests.

That's because the fleet is pushing 50 years old.

Honestly, I have a vape unit but I still prefer smoking weed. Sigh...just don't start kids. Don't be like me. ;D

There are so many reasons kids shouldn't be like you.

Dune Boy studied argumentation and debate at the Grace Ferguson School of Law and Storm Door Company.  He’s doing his best.

This from a mother's basement dwelling community college dropout fast food worker.

But somehow the Mueller witch hunt  has kept a lid on all that Russian collusion evidence for a year.

Your lack of understanding of the process in criminal investigations is appalling.  Your suggestion that the special counsel (or any prosecutor) reveal the fruits of an investigtion prior to trial is but one indication that the stupid is great in you.

I have to admit some of the briefs, arguments, and filings of vexatious nature can be fun to read I could see how those in the system get frustrated. My particular favorite is the "gold fringed flag" and various jurisdictional claims. (Frequent C2C guest Sean David Morton, and current Federal Prisoner, had some hilarious filings.)

By the way, you never answer. So you were against the use of Federal troops, agents, and National Guard in the Civil War, Little Rock, LA, Mississippi, Watts, DC, inside to 100 mile limit on the borders? Was  Lincoln a war criminal for suspending Habeus Corpus? How about when troops are used in disasters like hurricane aftermaths?

You are expanding the discussion beyond the immediate situation as well as giving some examples that predate the Act.  Also, in natural disasters, the troops are under control of the state governors, they are not federalized.  Learn the distinction.

Wouldn't it depend on the judge?

In general, federal judges don't like bullshit wasting the Court's time.

And like before when Democrats were ignoring Federal law and curtailing civil rights at Little Rock HS the President can use them to restore order. Also, the Insurrection Act (Marines were used in LA when the blacks were rioting and decades earlier various troops were used during black riots) and post 911 changes has changed Posse Comitatus Law, for good or bad.

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-4986 :
"The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it (1) so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or (2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution. (2) PROCLAMATION TO DISPERSE. Section 334 of such title is amended by striking or those obstructing the enforcement of the laws after insurgents. (3) HEADING AMENDMENT.The heading"

Also we could use the broad semi-exception to  the 4th Amendment that Customs and Border Patrol has for 100 miles into the country to help round-up illegals, criminals, and terrorists.
https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/1084/~/legal-authority-for-the-border-patrol

Nope.  The Court would find these  "work arounds" to but mere  attempts  to circumvent the intent of the Act.  Judges don't like that.

Does not apply to Navy/Marines or Coast Guard or a Militia, only Army and Air Force. And can be " expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress." National Guards can be used if Governor requests.

But, I think, some of the post 9/11 stuff made it easier for the President to act?
https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/109/s2766/text

Frankly I'm against much of the changes and Federal aggrandisement of power and same in the Executive Branch but the border is one legitimate place that should be defended and controlled. If you don't have a border do you even have a country?

Here's the deal.  Once Donny John federalizes the National Guard, the Guard is subject to the Act.  He has federalized them.

Someone needs to read the salient provisons of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 to #Stupid Donald.  He can order all of the National Guard troops to the border that he wants - but they can't do shit except report violations - they are prohibited from acting upon them.  And since there are few local authorities who give a shit, all that reporting goes for naught.

P.S. I took you two shots at that joke to even have a semi-acceptable comeback. ::) ::)

Do your clients automatically get a retrial? :D

Retrial?  Silly boi.  My client never, ever goes to trail.  That's why I'm so well compensated.  One must really wonder about Cohen.  What lawyer risks criminal prosecution and disbarment  for protecting the likes of Trump from a ho?  Really, really stupid. And Trump will throw him under the bus at first opporunity.  So much for loyalty.

Trump clearly does not understand the limits of attorney client privledge.  Trump also doesn't understand that Mueller didn't order the search warrant for his attorney's records.  All Mueller did was pass along evidence of campaign finance law violatons to the FBI.  And now, Trump doesn't understand how Manafort actions during the campaign may constitute criminal acts.  All Trump can do is spew meaningless rants that have no legal significance whatsoever.  He's just not that bright.
