I listened to a historic LJN show with Jean Sheppard on Bart Ell's mighty KONR radio just last night! Long John Nebel is great!

The fact that RCH has the hubris (IKR?) to use LJN's opening music doesn't take away anything. ;D

Yeah! It's too bad it's difficult to find complete broadcasts of LJN but man his show was great! It's so interesting to listen to some of C2C's precursors with LJN and Billy Goodman. Definitely one of the best OTR shows I've come across.

What impressed me is how entertaining LJN's show was considering this was more than half a century ago. It's funny I always loved RCH's intro and had no idea he lifted it in tribute to LJN.

Sorry to bump an old thread but found this old Long John broadcast that is hilarious and awesome. Listening to the 1960s perspective on paranormal subjects and this interview with a psychic who is trying to sell woo woo doo-dads. Great listen, the interview with the psychic is hilarious.

(starts at 3:05:00, full six hours!)

https://www.wtnh.com/news/biden-nominated-for-nobel-peace-prize/

::)

QuoteWASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) â€" There’s not much Democrat Joe Biden and Republican President Donald Trump have in common. Except now, both can say they’ve been nominated for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize.

Chris Bryant, member of Parliament of the United Kingdom, told the London Evening Standard he nominated Biden for using the positive power of word instead of resorting to rhetoric that could lead to violence.

“When others have resorted to violent solutions, he has argued that the best force is the force of argument,” Bryant told the Standard. “Because guns can stop a heart but well-placed words can change many hearts, and many hearts can change a world.”

This week, it was announced President Donald Trump received his third nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, this time from Australian law professors, on the basis of the “Trump Doctrine” of foreign policy.

Trump’s two prior Nobel Prize nominations came from a member of the Norwegian Parliament for the historic Middle East peace deal, and from a member of the Swedish Parliament, for helping to normalize relations between Serbia and Kosovo.

Nominations can be made by a select group of people and organizations, including national lawmakers, heads of state and certain international institutions. In 2020, the committee received 318 nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize, of which 211 are individuals and 107 are organizations.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama was awarded the prize in 2009 only months into his first term, a move many felt was premature. The Norwegian committee said it honored Obama for his commitment to “seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.”

Last year, Trump predicted he would win the Nobel Prize “for a lot of things if they gave it out fairly, which they don’t.”

The Norwegian Nobel Committee doesn’t publicly comment on nominees. Under its rules, the information is required to be kept secret for 50 years.

The Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded in December.

Haha have another cheeseburger.

Honestly, the leftist useful idiot blockbusting of blue cities will lead to one of the biggest real estate booms of modern times. But you would have had to see this all coming a few years ago or be a billionaire capable of buying up burnt out blue areas once this woke thing burns itself out by 2030.

I wonder if Antifa knows they're just making rural America wealthier with all this while they're burning their homes down?

Import the Dutch women's soccer and field hockey team also, to even things out and for the down time after all the fighting. They could also act as field nurses, in appropriate nurse uniforms.

How violent are Swedish female beach volleyball teams? This is a proposal I can get behind.

Do you not sense, among our fellows, this sort of aching need for reciprocal violence, an impotent fury that still fails to raise them from their recliners?  This will not end well.  I fear for any kittens that may cross their paths.

Why would reciprocal violence be necessary when it's only leftists killing leftists and burning down the blue cities that enabled them? The score is now 6-3 on the Supreme Court and red county property values are exploding. Everything is playing out pretty much the way the tin foils have been saying since the 90s.

I kind of think those were mostly bleeding hearts from your local high school, though.  Looked like sweet kids.

But yeah, mobs are low-class trash for the most part.  Have you seen the naked mole rats fielded by the right in Portland, still blinking from posting dank memes in the basement?  Those are who would answer MD's call.

There is a professional core at least in Seattle and Portland -- I haven't watched any others -- that shows up with light and sound and music and a few rabble-rousing speakers but that is BLM under various names and not antifa.  They made common cause for this in the beginning but the divide between the two was very apparent in Portland after a while.

I don't have anything against what you're saying. I've just lived among the unhinged in both the most blue and the most red areas. I really think the blue areas are just completely out of touch with reality and what is happening in the red areas. There's a lunatic self-destructive zeal to these people that I can only describe as biblical. They're just going to destroy themselves and anything around them.

I think of this when trying to understand these times.

I've said in the past, virtually every male from walking to wheelchair age out here is wearing some form of camo in their every day dress and I don't think it's a fashion statement.

I was also in the thick of the things in the liberal factory for years. I was at WTO and Occupy. These people would fuck up a bowl of cereal and spend a week doing it. And this was years and several IQ points lost in the average demographics since then.

Rush did yeoman's work back in his heyday poking fun at bias.  He almost singlehandedly created the appetite for popular conservative media like Fox and a host of other outlets.  Much of what they churn out is laughable garbage, but so was the idea that the President is a Russian spy, seriously considered by formerly prestigious publications..

Trump's election demonstrates people don't do what they're told any more; the monopoly is broken.  That is good.  Like MV said, it's now clear the parties don't have any control over who their candidate is and, I would add, American democracy is back in the hands of the people.

We have abandoned the fiction of a neutral journalistic voice (borrowed, I'd argue, from the Brits and their BBC) and are now back in the days of yellow journalism like a hundred years ago with clear, known biases, rabid partisanship, and occasionally the mobs in the streets and small-scale political violence that sort of thing provokes.  It is all very American.

I would have no principled objection to right-wing mobs smashing and looting things they don't like but there are two big problems you face:

The first is that mobs are not mobile; they loot where they live.  They are made up of lower-class people who don't travel, for the most part, and right-wing destruction would most likely be visited upon Main Street in Dubuque, not CNN studios.

The second is that when you guys do show up in a major city, like Portland or Seattle, you are trigger-happy, fat, and scared, speeding through town slumped in your lifted pickups spraying pepper out the windows because you are afraid of confrontation and would rather complacently fellate your firearms than hit the bag.  The jokes write themselves -- nobody is looking at you saying "yes, I want to be like that; those are my people."  You are ridiculous.

It is because you are fat.  That is why I joke about it all the time; I am only trying to help.  When you show up in numbers there is a good chance some histrionic fat chud will whip out a gun because he can't fight.  You guys need to get fit and rip your shirts off like Trumpet Man before anyone will pay attention to you.  I see Trump's son is touring FL with some hot MMA guy; you need way more of that.

Antifa takes this kind of thing very seriously; they were literally running wind springs in front of the cops last night in Seattle.  You need to up your game.

If you think these people protesting are capable of anything more than killing themselves and being toxic within any system they inhabit, I think you don't know them. These people are just the common street trash the decaying American system has flushed out. Watch their streams, they're drugged out, low-functioning idiots being led around by "community organizers" in cities in which every strata is corrupt and protecting them. But they are incapable of functioning in any realm which isn't literally farming them like blue cities. Especially now that the scam is mainstream. They are mobs only capable of burning down their own habitats and would be drugged out on the sidewalks if they weren't being utilized as cannon fodder.

A gang of these winners tried to come to the little town I live around now and were met by about 1,000 patriots. They were promptly on their way with no violence and no property damage within two hours.

Cringe-worthy even. BLECH.

...so a fake voice touched you when you were young? That would actually explain a lot...

I listen to computer voices a lot with tech stuff so it was natural for me to get into and I love the creativity of it.  ;D But I understand how it would be a turn off and love/hate thing.

I'm not sure if this show deserves its own thread as they're so new. But I saw one of their previews for their next episode and absolutely died. You know I love funny, weird, creative, counterculture shows. This is one of the most unique shows I've heard. But I imagine this will be a thing you either love or hate, especially older people.

American Cyberspace Broadcasting is like a broadcasting network that has a bunch of different shows and segments but the whole thing is a comedy or intense drama. They also did a shameless rip off of C2C in the middle of their first episode with insane callers in the middle of a War of the World parody.

I haven't found a show this fun since Ghost's show. No idea what is up with this show but I loved their first episode and their trailer so much, I thought it'd be good to give them a thread. Hope they do more although I can't imagine how much time it takes to make these.

As someone who is fluent in bullshit, allow me to interpret. Biden got so completely blown the fuck out even in a 2 on 1 handicap match, that we're going to have to dramatically change things to hide his overwhelming weaknesses.

I can't even process the corruption and evil that resides in a leftist's mind at this point. Reading some of the responses on the sex box this morning. The scumbag media was the scumbag media as expected. But reading the blue checkmarks leads me to think a French Revolution is imminent and necessary. I can't process how you can continue to support the left at this point unless you're mentally incompetent and you can't process anything other than what your sex box screen is telling you. Or you're so corrupt that you profit from this evil and you're so dead on the inside that you're fine with that.

I am pleasantly surprised that there seems to be a lot more vitriolic pushback against the left and the debate last night. But these dopamine addicted vampire lemmings that comprise the bulk of the left are just a biblical plague I could not have processed if I wasn't living through these times.

We've been subjected to terrorism, censorship, mind-boggling corruption, economic collapse and the attempted destruction of every positive aspect of the western world for the benefit of only the most evil elements on our planet as the left has sold out EVERYTHING they believed in. And these house slaves just keep slogging along. It's revolting. They're literally running an incompetent corrupt doddering corpse who's family has engaged in global corruption with virtually every foreign competitor/enemy of this country while simultaneously burning down and corrupting the future for every American. And these house slaves just keep looking for their dopamine fix while screaming "NO U" as everything burns around them.

I have reached a level of detest that I didn't think possible.

Too bad most likely there won't be another one because how can you possibly let Biden get BTFO again like that?

I come away feeling angry at the Democrats for running someone so clearly not capable for this. I remember 2008 and 2012 Joe who was a savage in debates and took down some very tough competition convincingly. This guy was not that. This was a doddering old man who frequently slurred, lost his place and struggled to convey his thoughts. I wasn't convinced he even understood most of what he was talking about.

This was a brutalization akin to watching the World Heavyweight Champion beat on an amateur challenge far beyond his prime and retirement age for two hours. How the Democratic machine can be so corrupt, incompetent and just plain evil to run such an unprepared elderly man is disgusting and terrifying in it's implications. Do they think people are so stupid, they're going to vote for a vegetable regardless? What happens once the vegetable gets into office?

As far as I understand it, I'm supposed to be voting for a vegetable because of the elements controlling it rather than the man himself?

I'm just disgusted and horrified more than anything. I don't even think these people are still in their heads if they're okay with this and going along with it. This is getting to biblically evil levels.

Bottom line for her Bellgab was great when all the “roughness” was directed at others and not her and Art but as soon as some of that came back on them (for good reason) then it was a “den of assholes” with mental illnesses and no life. She’s still here though so :P is in essence what she’s saying.

I don't remember much of the past but I distinctly remember her appointing herself the 10 Star Meme General of the guerrilla campaign for Art's new show and it just got more and more bizarre from there. Ah well, all's well that ends well.

All of the new parody songs are hysterical. It is so fun just to dip in on this world through the GabCast and catch up in a /comfy/ two hours. The GabCast really is the /comfiest/ show ever.

Ghost may be found on DLive

Tuesday/Thursday Nights and a Saturday Night Troll Show - bouts of gout permitting.   Unfortunately there does not seem to be much of an archive. You can look under replays and there is usually an episode or two there on DLive.  The episodes stretch 9 to 11 hours in length though.  ;)

His website isn't updated much. He had a hopping forum on there at one time but it got out of control.

;D

I'm very happy he's alive and well. I'll check his new thing out. I still listen to his old Blogtalk shows from time to time. Thanks very much for the info.   :D
