Given the threatened consequences, let's please keep the default picture as is!

I was trying to remember what that above picture of Noory reminded me of...

what / who threatened?  this thread seemed innocent enough.  and then it went wonky.

Roger threatens to return to terrorize us with his ponderous diatribes if the avatar is changed. We must keep it as it is. Think of the children!

Aw, c'mon, I look forward to completely ignoring and scrolling past his next 2200 word screed about his moral superiority.

i'm afraid that's not going to be possible.  the retired FBI man who led my conceal carry training course instructed me always to "shoot to kill" in a direct line from the center of the forehead to the base of the torso.  never shoot to wound.

Everyone knows the good guy ALWAYS shoots to wound, even if its a serial killer.  Only the bad guy shoots to kill!  Here's the drill:  the good guy shoots in the knee and the bad guy accidenally falls off the cliff.  If he has to die, that's the way it goes down in the talkies....

PS. Clearly, my avatar NooryCat is the best!

Not to be critical, love the picture, but I think the kitty lacks the depth of vapidity in its stare.

Oh, did I just make up a word?  Aw, nuts.  Nope, counts in Scrabble.         ;D

Just read this thread for the first time in ages.  Here is what i got:

       LMH is from Mongolia
    GN looks like Hitler-Cat
MV is not PC (oooh - BIG Surprise!  I never realized that before!  ::) )
Anagrammy is smart AND funny  (not news, just reinforcement)
Some people don't get that context is everything. This forum has never claimed to be polite.
You're all still pretty awesome - even our arguments are mild.

"Thursday, April 28, 2011: Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe will
discuss the discovery of a strange cosmic explosion in March 2011 by
astronomers, the FBI’s release of 61 year old documents concerning a
disc crash in New Mexico, and the deathbed testimonies from some of the
workers in the area regarding 14-16 non-human bodies found near the disc.
Hosted by George Noory." (www.coasttocoastam.com)

I'm still looking forward for an interruption by Linda to say:

'And, in an interview with myself, is me, talking with myself'.

Interesting photo, Usagi . . . only, it looks a lot like Dopey, from
a Walt Disney cartoon movie.  I think it would be interesting if we
could get the negatives to that image! I think it was touched up.

What do you have against 'Cel' people?

Roger

Oh, and by the way: children ought to be examined in the most vigorous
fashion: what is it you think you want?!!!  Candy? toys!?? Fun!!???
Play!!???

Think of the ADULTS!!!!  All we want is war, mahyem, bloodshed! sorrow and
old age and miserable deaths!!! Did you little kids ever think about that!!!

What is all this talk of kindness? simple joys?

Us little kids, I guess, are bums.

Last week Noory mentioned as news that the newly released govt info included information that officials were quite alarmed about 8,000 cattle mutilations in the Southwest.  Having a cow-cutting science specialist like Ms. Howl as a regular seer on the show, WHERE IS SHE ON THIS BREAKING NEWS?

It has been two weeks and not a peep. This woman has been dragging aging Bentwater victims/survivors/witnesses to Rendelsham and trying to force them to relive their traumatic events and then confirm her theory that the visitor was a time traveler, but we can't have simple, garden variety coverage of the biggest break in the foggy area of cattle mutilations?

C'mon Linda, finally there is a hook, actual news, something real and you are what, MIA?

Does LMH have an alibi proving here whereabouts at the time of the mutilations?  I mean c'mon, she seems like just the type to me.

Please don't encourage her to come on the show. The less she's on the better. C2C with Noory is still a feces sammich, but with Noory AND Linda DOLTen Trowel it's a Feces sammich deluxe. I assume Noron will be reading the latest edition of Penthouse Letters while LDT is running off at the mouth like she always does. Those fake pre-recorded interviews, god damn them!

That's exactly it, JustOne....if I may call you by your first name, it IS all pre-recorded crap and she's caught with her reporter costume pants pulled down when there is actual news.  Wouldn't you like her to appear on the news segment and say, "I have made arrangements to interview the people mentioned in the report who are still living and will be contacting those on the other side with the help of Sylvia Brown."

I hate when people refer to her as a reporter.  A reporter goes out and gets stories.  Tonight is a rehash of an episode Art did. Almost verbatim.  If Linda Molting Fowl is a reporter Richard Hoagland is a science advisor.

Art's show had an element of mystery, a spookiness.  He created this aura, and that aura could even carry a sandbag like Linda.  The only thing spooky about George is that he was able to hypnotize Premier Brass into thinking a show like tonight is giving the listener a good show.

I am not going to sleep until she directs me to her site, manurepiles.com to go to the subscriber section and pay to read this drivel.  I figure this will happen in 10, 9, 8...

Linda Moulton Howe take note:

http://www.science-frontiers.com/

This web site is based on an old collection of anomalies
by William Corliss.

Don't know if he is still alive, but he was alive when Art Bell's show
of 'oddities' was going in full force: but Corliss was never a guest so
far as I know.

Pitty that, since Corliss'collections of anomalies of science and
observations as anechdotes is unmatched, even by Charles Fort.

Another interesting resource, I've noted before is Bill Beaty's site:

http://amasci.com/weird.html

He's made it onto internet video here:

The Dark Side of Amateur Science by Bill Beaty

Entitled: The Dark Side of Amateur Science by Bill Beaty

Have no idea what is to be viewed there . . . maybe it is propoganda . . .
don't let it stop you from perusing his web-pages.

And then there is one huge resource by Robert Nelson, entitled Rex Research:

http://www.rexresearch.com/

Nelson has, apparently, been driven slightly mad due to human stupidity as
policy. Who can blame him? His madness doesn't affect his ability to dig
up the most obscure of interesting and neglected datums of human invention
and exploration.

Nearly every neglected subject, patents, things Bell and all subsequent hosts
of C2C that might have made fascinating listening can be found on Nelson's
site.  Be prepared to spend some time exploring.

Same with all the above links.

There are, Horatio, more things than are dreamt of in your philosophy

The show she just did on the information from the Aztec saucer crash was a real departure from the monotone Linda.  She was animated, she was informed, she was spot on with her questions, down to the last detail.  She left not a blade for the paparazzi news gleaners.  Everything was covered except where she's going from here with her investigation.

We have to give credit where credit is due--I never heard of this crash before and I was riveted, just like in the old Art Bell days when you took the damn radio in the bathroom with you.

The quality of Coast to Coast's guests can be erratic enough; tonight's guest, author Patrick Heron, was no exception. But Linda Moulton Howe without a doubt has to be their most soporific.

Her monotone delivery is bad enough: it's painfully obvious she's reading from a script 95% of the time, as her interviews are littered with awkward pauses and amateurish segues. But why she's permitted back on the program week after week to spend the entire evening speaking -- it's just beyond me how Noory can keep from falling asleep, because ninety minutes into one of her "groundbreaking" reports and half the audience must be out like a light.

Rollercoaster, didn't you think the LMH program on the Aztec UFO crash was in contrast to the usual, which you describe so well?

Ana

Ana, do you like Aztec?  Tim Binnall did an excellent episode on that, I believe.

Definitely - it is an event that is recorded in a straight-forward manner without the magnification and distortion of paparazzi type media distortion.

I just listened to this again to see what I missed.  If tonight wasn't open lines I would go back for thirds just to transcribe two run on sentences that souded like she was reading from Kerouac's benzedrine induced original scrolls from Visons of Cody, which later became On The Road.

One run on had to do with how she has journalistic integrity becase she has trudged through mountains etc.   I will post a transcript as soon as I can.  She madeHoagland sound reserved.

that's a main reason why, Snoory seems to have no work ethic ie, lazy, so he doesn't have to prepare anything for the show, just drop a quarter in the LMH chatterbox and it goes and goes...

Spot on post of the day right there!
