WAR IS HELL

A Navy medic in Nam (’70-’71) with MACV-SOG was assigned to a very small G2 detachment from the Mean Green doing intel and interdiction of agents on the Cambodian border. HAving been in his share of firefights, he preferred an M16 over an M1. Even though having earned the Expert Pistol and Rifle ribbons at Ft. Geo. Meade during special training and was the sniper on the team, he still used an M16 with iron sights and could take an eyeball out at 250 yds all fucking day long (documented shit FNG's). Everyone has different rifles and different experiences. This is just one of “14 million stories in the Naked City.”
