This really, ought to be a great show!

You know what made Art Bell such an exceptionally effective interviewer, is that having the luxury of time, in doing a long program, is that he would ask insightful questions, then he'd shut the fuck up and let the guest talk.  He'd let them say their piece, and if in so doing, they managed to evade his question, he'd simply ask it again, verbatim.  If necessary, he'd ask it three times before moving on to another question, leaving the final segment for the audience to call in and lambaste the guest for being so chickenshit. 

Art would pitch softball for most of the show, unless he had a particularly hostile, guest.  He would structure the interview, to give every opportunity for the guest to make their case, as best they could.  If they glossed over a significant detail, and rambled, Art would cut them off, and focus in on that point, seek clarification, then let the guest resume as they might wish.  Usually, he'd save one very tough question for the end of the interview, which might even undermine everything the guest had taken several hours to say.

As Mike Bara is co-author of Dark Mission, which touched upon the subject of the book he's plugging on your show, I'd like to know the status of the current relationship between Bara and Richard C. Hoagland?  How did Hoagland conclude that President Kennedy supposedly know what was on the Moon, before inviting the Soviets to join the US in a mission to go there?  What makes Hoagland assert that the secret, Soviet Space mission, Cosmos 21, a.k.a. 3MV-1 No.1., was "Mars bound," when all of the publicized mission in that series were to probe Venus?

That book did more than merely "touch on" the topic. Pages 164-178, plus five figures, are virtually the heart of Bara's book. The rest is "google scholarship." I reckon 25% of Bara's royalties (if any) belong to Hoagland.

So I think Hoagland would say that's how JFK knew. But it's absolutely ridiculousâ€"the Keyhole spysats were great for looking Earth-wards, but the resolution of their supposed Moon imgery is a few orders of magnitude worse than would be required for that.

Do you have any specific questions, Patrick, for Gary Leggiere to ask Mike Bara?

James Concannon posted one on Gary's FB page. Why did he take a LRO image of landslips down the wall of a crater on the Moon, turn it upside down, and claim that it shows "jagged crystalline spires"? ("Hidden Agenda: NASA and the Secret Space Program" p.117)

Isn't that totally dishonest?

You have said that NASA preferentially arranges for key space mission events to occur when any of five stars are at any of five elevations (-33°, -19.5°, 0, 19.5° and 33°) as seen from a significant place related to that event. The stars are Sirius, Regulus, and the belt stars of Orion.

On p.263 of Ancient Aliens and Secret Societies you wrote "What I do know is that NASA continues to follow these rituals to this day, on virtually every mission they undertake." However, you didn't provide any examples at all. How many of the 135 Space Shuttle missions conformed? Did yesterday's launch of InSight conform to this pattern?

The context was Glenn's guest appearance on Frazier in March 2001. You know, Mike, Frazier is a COMEDY, right? Just in case we didn't get the joke, the producers provided a laugh track. I think everyone except you and Hoagland understood that Glenn's spoof confession was just a joke.

Frazier is a comedy series.  Astronaut, John Glenn, was a US Senator.  The context of his monologue is that he thought he was speaking frankly.  The laugh track was added, despite the fact that the actual taping of Frasier, was before a live audience.  Apparently, the audience didn't find it funny.  After his finishes his statement, he regrets it and confiscates the recording.  The joke is that Frazier and Roz (Roswell?) didn't hear a word of it.  Senator Glenn in prologue to his monologue, dejectedly says that it's his nature to be honest.  The idea has been seeded; that's the intent.  As for the Truth, who can really say for certain?

If your boss orders you to go dump a tank of toxic chemicals in the river, and the EPA arrests and indicts you, neither you nor your boss gets off the hook by blaming the other.  Name one politician, aside from Jerry Brown, who isn't a liar.  I suppose if John Glenn's estate were to take issue, they might have the option to sue for libel; why haven't they?

Henry Archibald Dunkley was, along with Leonard Howell, Joseph Hibbert, and Robert Hinds, one of the first preachers of the Rastafari movement in Jamaica following the coronation of Ras Tafari as Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia on 2 November 1930.

Although not as much is known of his life as that of Howell (the most outspoken founder of Rastafari), Dunkley was reported as still alive in 1991.[1]

In a 1967 recorded interview Haile Selassie appeared to deny his alleged divinity. In the interview Bill McNeil says: "there are millions of Christians throughout the world, your Imperial Majesty, who regard you as the reincarnation of Jesus Christ." Selassie replied in his native language:

    I have heard of that idea. I also met certain Rastafarians. I told them clearly that I am a man, that I am mortal, and that I will be replaced by the oncoming generation, and that they should never make a mistake in assuming or pretending that a human being is emanated from a deity.[178]

For many Rastafari the CBC interview is not interpreted as a denial of his divinity, and according to Robert Earl Hood, Haile Selassie neither denied nor affirmed his divinity either way.[179] In Reggae Routes: The Story of Jamaican Music, Kevin Chang and Wayne Chen note

    It's often said, though no definite date is ever cited, that Haile Selassie himself denied his divinity. Former senator and Gleaner editor, Hector Wynter, tells of asking him, during his visit to Jamaica in 1966, when he was going to tell Rastafari he was not God. "Who am I to disturb their belief?" replied the emperor.[172]

After his return to Ethiopia, he dispatched Archbishop Abuna Yesehaq Mandefro to the Caribbean to help draw Rastafari and other West Indians to the Ethiopian church and, according to some sources, denied his divinity.[180][181][182][183]

In 1948, Haile Selassie donated a piece of land at Shashamane, 250 km south of Addis Ababa, for the use of people of African descent from the West Indies. Numerous Rastafari families settled there and still live as a community to this day.[184]
