I've read this guy's book.  Very interesting story.

"During a search of the house, handwritten notes were found that point "toward observance of some definite spiritual or mystical practices by the whole family," police said in a statement."Coincidentally, these notes have strong similarity with the manner in which the mouths, eyes etc of the deceased were tied and taped," the statement said. It didn't elaborate."

Fascinating piece from the Atlantic magazine.  It might make you think twice before you laugh about demonic possession and exorcism.

This story is horrible, but bizarre.  And also perplexing how adults could be fooled into "Indian healing" blowjobs to "remove demons" and such. He "would open a square suitcase that he kept in his office holding the same items the other men also described in statements and interviews: feathers, assorted stones, buckeyes, a magnetic strip, an angel coin and Ziploc bags."<-- wouldn't that be a "tell" for most people in the Presbyterian Church? This guy sounds like some C2C guest, though I'm not accusing guests of sexual exploitation or assault.

I'd like to know more about this story.  How does the Pope know that God wasn't speaking to the prophetess and the monks?
Maybe they were fire dancing in the desert.

Perhaps the people, being Presbyterians, understood that they were predestined for such treatment, and as they were probably not the elect anyway, they went with the flow.

Ha. A possibly valid point. But I doubt magic stones, feathers, zip lock bags, and oral sex for demon possession are tenets in the Westminster Confession or any of the various declarations and writings of Calvin, Knox, etc , I could be wrong though.

And now for something a little more political. ::)

Exorcists warn against Wiccan spell to bind Donald Trump

Washington D.C., Mar 2, 2017 / 05:49 am (National Catholic Register).- Witches in the U.S. are offering a solution to those who say Donald Trump is not their president: cast a spell on him. It’s a planned monthly event that began Friday, Feb. 23 at the stroke of midnight Eastern Time.

Witches from around the country are casting a mass spell to drive Trump from office. The plan is to continue every night of a waning crescent moon until he is no longer president.

the film is based on the true story of Malachi Martin, claiming Martin “was brought in by the U.S. government to perform a sanctioned exorcism” on a Fort Bragg soldier.
