Art's Achilles heel is that he really wants to meet a time traveler.  It's easy to get excited when you want it that badly.

Well, maybe, but remember that Art also wants convincing evidence of life after death, to know more about whatever there is known about ETs, and a few other things. It's largely his excitement about these subjects and his willingness to suspend disbelief that makes him such a master of the topic: paranormal.

Hate to be a debunker, and hope "Dave" the time traveler has the 'stuff' to make a great Art Bell show.

With that said, what's up with Art pushing that Dave the time traveler is the real thing?
Is Art that gullible or is Art a huckster playing along with this obvious fraud?
Of course we know it's the latter, Art is hoping to a make great show out of Dave the Time Traveler and he might.
Got'a love Art for his PT Barnum abilities. "There's a Sucker Born Every Minute and I'll Part Him From His Cash"

But I doubt if Dave the time traveler has the stuff to make a good show, he's another modern Marxist leftist, spouting 150 year old  Edward Bellamy, "Looking Backward" utopian societies, with the latest hip and kewl  Eco-topian spin.

I defer to Art's judgement.... Art knows best!

Art says it's just the better letter from Solomon claiming to be a time traveler he's seen.  I think we can agree that Art can make a good show out of most anything and when the road gets to rough he goes to open lines and ma,es his audience entertaining.

A HUGE red flag that this is fake is to look at the language. It sounds like someone from our era wrote it. Read something written even 150-200 years ago. The grammar, language etc... is different.

While I do think the letter is BS (fairly well written BS, but BS none the less) your reason isn't quite what struck me. The writer explains how he had to be trained in our technology and in our pop culture.

As an aside - there is something aobut the idea of cloned meat that is just as creepy (in it's own way) as meat off the hoof.

No, I'm no vegan.  I just acknowledge that our meat industry is fucked up - and try not to think of it when eating..

Keep in mind Art is upbeat about this letter.     :o    He's now sent out a second message that doesn't invite critique so directly and he's now getting more positive replies (in that thread) but most people are still on the neutral to negative spectrum.

As for Canadian agencies - well - who knows what they will have in 400 years?   ;)

I don't know how the stuff works but the world does need an Ian and Knapp torrent, I guess Knapp is still going so wouldn't complete but definitely an Ian torrent.

Art posted this link  http://artbell.com/message-from-time-traveler-david/ on his Facebook page. He said:

So far, it's a dud.  What do you think?

Open Lines are always good...some of the best 'radio' comes from Open Lines...I do hope you can reschedule Stephen...I'm sure there was just a mixup...hopefully there was no emergency and everyone is ok...

Let's hope it was no more than a technical glitch.

they're gonna do 'flat earth?' -- gosh, that could either be fascinating or Ambien.

Yeah, you gotta refresh it by hand. Just like it's 1995.
Back in the day I had to hit F5 by hand, uphill both ways, in blue snow blowing sideways.

Bah! you kids had it easy!  Some kids didn't have an f5 key, or a finger to hit ti with! Shame on you.

Love me some ELO.  Time is one of my top twenty or so all-time fave albums.

And, speaking of the fertile crescent . . . ???

I'd so love to hear some of the old Art Bell DREAMLAND show.   I've heard a number of Whitley's shows - but never Art's - and I understand he sometimes worked with Ramona on that one.   True?

Does Art Bell look at this chat forum during the show?

He has but I don't know if it's a regular habit - it may have been only during the test show.

Alien in the window is one of my personal favs. Certainly not a man in a rubber mask.

Actually can everyone on here call in to question him about the Mummy.

I can't - I know so little aobut the situation and am too stoned to fly by the seat of my panties.  But I'd DEARLY love to hear you all try.   ::)
