Oink fucking oink, not surprised by this shit. I'm particularly annoyed by the wonderful Massachusetts State Police at this moment. Ornery, provocative and making nearly $100,000 per year by being the biggest pricks they can be.

Ain't that the truth.  And, it is now illegal to film a cop on duty n this state. they somehow snuck that one through based on the law that says both partis must be notified to record a phone call.  No shit.

Hmmm.  I don't even see your login attempts. Give it another try. I am not familiar with that ftp client.

Thanks, Gandlaf - rolled right in this time no problem.  It must have just been the "random glitch of the moment"

Love it Ana - I'm find there are a lot of FB parodies out there - this one has been my go-to:

Just tried it (WINscp  - windows7) and got a message about not being able to find the "/" directory

The attached image is the error message.  i used cut and paste for all your info, and get as far as trying to read the directories, so that's not it.  i use this client all the time w/o problems.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the effort, BTW!

Tbut I soon realized that the doctor was a shrink, sent to examine the captive hippie for signs of possible hallucinogenesis.  So I sez to the doc I sez, "Actually doc, yes, there is one persistent visual problem I've noticed."

"Oh yeah?"  he sez, all perked up and ready to scribble on his yellow legal pad.

"Yeah- it's a funny thing but, every time I try to look outside, I keep seeing these bars in front of my eyes doc, what could that be?"  He starts writing this, then realizes I'm screwing with him, then rips up his notes and cusses me while walking out of the exam room, neglecting to say buenas tardes.  I guess he didn't have that great of a sense of humor.  I was released the next day and the visual thing cleared up immediately.

OMG - that is hilarious.  ;D

the interview Ian did of the guy investigating Sonny Bono's assassination,

I really liked that one too.

I didn't like Bono as a politician, (mostly because of his totally unconstitutional stand on coyright issues) and thought he was only a moderately talented artist. Frankly, I was dumbfounded by the idea that he had enough influence to warrent such extreme measures.

Which Art Bell FB page was that? Could someone post a link?  There are three and two are using the same photo.....the one I thought was "real" isn't posting antenna stuff that I can see.

Ana

This is the one I'm most convinced is real - if any are.

I read every damn page of that Art Bell Quits thread, and am currently going through the Ian Punnett thread before I chime in on that one. lol god help me.

You are gonna need it, Bob!

Don't feel bad if you cave and decide to just dive in.  PARTICULARLY on the Punnett thread.  once upon a time, there was a general IP thread, a specifically "pro-Punnett" thread, and a "Punnett must die" thread (well, it wasn't THAT bad, but you catch my drift.)  If I understand correctly - they've all been merged, so even in a forum given to non sequiturs -  the older posts in that thread could really win a prize for "WTF?"

I have always loved when Bell played If You Could Read My Mind . But would he have played Johnny Cash's version? And what does everyone think of it? ...

I'm a Cash fan - but this song is way out of his wheelhouse. In fact, I've never heard anyone do it "right" but Lightfoot.

Thanks for the encouragement, Ev, do you have a suggestion as to where?  As in, which bloghost?

Ana

the very best thing is to have your own URL -there is some deal where wordpress will host with your URL without hosting fees - but i don't know the details. the URL itself would only be around $10 per year.

I think wordpress is the most reliable, and customizable, blog format out there.

QuoteBated here is a contraction of abated through loss of the unstressed first vowel (a process called aphesis); it means “reduced, lessened, lowered in force”. So bated breath refers to a state in which you almost stop breathing as a result of some strong emotion, such as terror or awe.

the rest is here.

Hi Everyone,

I just found this site whilst seeking to find where the CoastGab stream went, as I can't seem to find it on Shoutcast anymore.  Boohoo!

Now that I know you all are here, I suspect that I will be a regular visitor.

Greetings Centurion!

Thanks for your interest--I'm thinking I might do the life story in a blog form.  Does anybody do that?

Anagrammy

Sure they do.  the trick with blogs is to keep the posts short and "regular" (at least three times a week for good traffic) it sounds to me like you have good material for "cliffhanger" moments - emotionally wrenching as they may be.  I'd go for it!

QuoteI have often made the connection with the walkway in the sky to the airport and the doorway to the one in the sky. Probably just an overactive imagination... but there it is.

it's a great story!  And, if something like that does not excite the imagination, you're brain dead.

Still wondering what's up with the newest of the Art Bell facebook pages - I'm fairly convinced it's him - but why? Is he, maybe, regrouping his fan base for some purpose?

(Hey, if we are gong to have this thread go on, we need a new rumor or two.)

Oh, I beg to differ.  Anyone who knows the importance of the spice knows their place in the universe.

Speaking of sand worms, I retrieved an older graphic I put together many many moons ago for georgenoorysuck.com.  It's still one my favorites of the "before time."

You might refer to that time as GNS I and now we are in GNS II.  (cough)

If you click on the bottle to enlarge it, you can better see the "subliminal seduction" graphics of money, death, and sex.

Ah Cam! so good to see you post - and thanks for bringing back that image - I remember it and it was always on e of my favorites.

The Michael Diamond show was AWFUL. I'm not Catholic, but I was astounded that Diamond could characterize John XXIII as a "demonic imposter", and Snoory never even uttered a "hey, wait a minute'.

On the other hand, I guess (since I'm not a member of the One True Church), I am hopelessly lost anyway.  ::)

Diamond is a nut job.   he's not mainstream RC - he's part of the anti-Vatican II movement. That, by itself, isn't what makes him nuts - he's just nuts.

Hey guys,

It has been fun, but I need to step away from 'Forum-Time' for a while.  Coastgab has a great bunch of regulars now, and I leave knowing that the quest to convince the powers that be to get a new C2C host is in good hands.

Best to you all.

Well - took me so long to see this that it's unlikely Marc will see my reply - you will be sorely missed!  But, you do have a little one on the way, don't you?  that does change things.

Pass the blood wine, guys.

You know - WE had a tornado last week.  Maybe not a biggie for those who live in Tronadoville- but people, this is New England - hurricanes yes - tornadoes NO!

listening to Fresh Air on NPR right now ... discussing Roswell crash ... Area 51 ... so the Roswell crash (according to this author) ... was a flying disc built by the RUSSIANS to fuck with our minds.  anyway ... listen to this show - May 17th

um ... weird

Wasn't that AMAZING? Dunno what to thing, but the woman seemed sane enough.  I didn't catch it all - I think Terry Gross has a podcast though, gonna go look for it now.
