Anyway in putting it back together the guy wired the plug connection the wrong way. (I'm hazy on this because don't understand the system) but the various plugs and wires were different that German or UK standard, I guess. Or maybe he just got confused.) Anyhow, as I recall, he connected it wrong and we started it up and the motor ran the blower backwards and dirtied the factory line and internal machine portion and had to take the whole thing off-line for major cleaning.) I could be totally wrong the only, non-electrician explanation I had was like if you ran a vacuum the wrong way and accomplished the exact opposite. Classic. People were pissed.

I have had enough experience with three phase to enjoy your story.  Yes, change any two legs on three phase and the motor runs in the "wrong" direction. Slightly important in a vacuum cleaner, imperative in a processing plant.  They make testers.  For fun, I looked up a link with the theory behind it (if you care) and a link on youtube that just shows a minute long demonstration.

Joe Rogan is a pretty disappointing guest. But I'll give it a chance.

The show sounds like an "infomercial" for Rogan and his show.  Art just asks a series of questions that Rogan is obviously prepared ahead of time to answer.

I enjoyed the interview with Rogan.  The guy after was nutty but enjoyable too.

I liked how right at the start Art asked him "blah blah, is that what you are claiming" and he replied "yes, that is what I am claiming happened"

Just seemed weird to parrot it back instead of saying "that's what happened"
