Can you or anyone else suggest a better audio editing program than Audacity that is low cost or free for a PC running Windows? Or, what would be the next step up? Would like to be able to layer background music or sound(s) with voice over-the-top in the foreground and fade-in-out too. Maybe a PC sound card for Windows 7, 8, or 10+ w/software is even better?
Audacity is perfectly capable of doing all those things and more. Plus it's free. Good luck with your new hobby/podcast

These are actually pretty good. Did you have any formal training or a background in broadcasting or is it just a hobby?

Thread necromancy... It's a real thing.  ;)

I'm going to become "wheel chair bound" next time I'm destined for an unfamiliar airport. Seems like a great way to see the terminal without having to navigate it myself.

I had not previously heard if Swift's name until 3/6/15 when George exclaimed it wholeheartedly.  It wasn't enough he was excited about a fun, new song.  No, he just didn't feel complete without name-dropping this young sex symbol's name.
3/6/15.
How do you remember all this? Is there a Noory panty model reference filing cabinet at Casa Tangerine?

I doubt repression.  I'm just saying, he worked hard like Epstein in Hello, Cotter, to recall her name.  He ooo'd and ah-uh'd until he said it correctly.

Just for the record.  :)
"Originally from San Diego, Karen’s varied background includes more than 20 years commercial banking, including a Senior Vice President position with South West Bank and 10 years in marketing and advertising. However, managing KNYE has been the ultimate challenge for this accomplished woman."

"The impetus for Stephens's charges appears to be a two-decades-old incident in San Diego, where Bell was running a video dating service at the time. Police raided the business, which they believed was used to make porn films but which in fact sold singles the chance to videotape themselves for viewing by potential dates. Bell ultimately won a $50,000 judgment against the police department, his Web site says."

If it were an isolated a incident it would be understandable. The problem is when you see a repeated pattern of either Senda-esque embellishment if not outright lying

Like an 11yr old (who Art said was at the top of her class) asking "What is dying?"

Karen: "..there's a window in the studio right by where he sits and there was the man in the window with a shotgun..."

Karen: "Yeah, while Art was on the air"

Interview on KTOX
https://vocaroo.com/i/s1OxnPREABgQ
States that Heather was saying in interviews that her and Art were having "a torrid lengthy affair" when pressed by the show's host she claims that it was on other shows, and says that she was told this by others

I have never heard her say anything about "a torrid lengthy affair" in any interview.  Does anybody else remember her making such claims? I'm guessing she either made it up herself or was gamed into saying it by a listener

Airyn's statement: "And lastly, think whatever you want, but in the long run, you are just stirring things up, all you do when you spread unsubstantiated rumors is make it harder for my family and hurt us. I don’t have time for this insanity. I have two kids to raise and real-life problems to deal with."
rumors plural. One which Heather spread, one which she did not

Spring 2018 interview with Michael Decon: says that she first met Art at Ramona's funeral which was January 5, 2006 (Karen mistakenly says "January 2005")
https://vocaroo.com/i/s1HhEXQWZmQV
Fall 2018 interview: claims she's been "Art's gatekeeper for 14 years" ie since 2004
https://vocaroo.com/i/s10vdUeNglhT
Let's say she's bad at math and/or remembering dates does it seem plausible Art would appoint somebody he had never met(despite living in the same town) and had only talked to on the phone a "couple of times" as his family's spokesperson/gatekeeper?

It was disappointing that a local Memorial Gardens business here lets plums rot from their many plum trees.  Last year, I took without asking.  But this year they had a sign up not to pick.  I called and asked permission, but they said their policy is NO.  I wish they would donate the plums to the food bank.  I don't understand why they let plums rot on their nice memorial garden lawn - you'd think they would be glad I got rid of some of the slimy fruit from underfoot.
You have to be more creative. Get yourself a high visibility vest, a clipboard and a 5 gallon bucket. Pick to your heart's content. Nobody ever notices or questions someone in a high visibility vest. If you're worried about being confronted google the garden's/parks dept website and memorize at least 1 female and 1 male name. If somebody asks what you're doing say(in a world-weary tone) "Look I was told by (insert name) to get rid of these things before somebody slips and falls on these things" If they press the issue tell them you'll quit but get out the clipboard and ask them for their name and phone# "in case there's a lawsuit" If they persist further pelt them with the plums and leg it

Seriously though look up if there's a community garden/allotment in your area. Either they'll give you a plot of your own or you do a little work and they give you a share of the crop. If you can get a small area to grow where you live that would be great. Even a few sq ft in full sun can produce a decent amount of food(look up square foot gardening) Start off with easy to grow stuff like spinach, lettuce, beets and radishes. Seeds can be obtained cheaply at dollar stores in spring or around this time on clearance at big box stores. You'll lose weight, be less hungry, feel better and it's good physically and mentally

I wrote a greasemonkey script on GreasyFork called "Ellgab Noorvana"(no link but if you google it. it will show up. It's name is a mixture of Nirvana(karma) and Noory(the smartest man in radio) I did it as an exercise to see if I could hide all the smite/karma/gold stars/ranks(hide, but not eliminate) because certain people kept complaining about it. If you click on the "code" tab you can see the source code. Experts are welcome to inspect it but I am far too stupid to create a virus or malware.

I also wrote a script called "Bellgab Scrollsaver" that completely hides users posts on your block list(unless quoted by an unblocked user) instead of displaying "You are ignoring this user. Show me the post"

Since you are on such a roll, could you find out what Noory said about Donna Reed and Shelly Fabares for me?
Ok all this panty model locker room talk has piqued my interest. Date/guest/hour? I'll see what I can do

I don't know the date of the release of Art's autopsy report.  Noory reported it at the earliest opportunity.  I don't know who the guest was that show as I only listen to the opening of the program.
Quote from: MyEye on September 01, 2019, 12:42:40 PM
I'll look into previous broadcast openings
What previous broadcast? This was from the day the autopsy was released. That was the "earliest opportunity." Are you sure it wasn't a guest or another show host?

I get Noory's an ass but falsely accusing him of something with zero proof(and in the process further muddying the waters regarding Art's death) is BS

He had stated that Art Bell died using "illegal drugs".  No retraction nor correction..
This is the show opening from August 1 2018 the earliest opportunity after the release of the autopsy. Could you point out where in Noory's announcement he stated "illegal drugs"

If she is a dual citizen or was living in another country or has a foreign residence, then he could divorce her over there. No divorce trail for you to find. Plus, there's always the slight name alterations that could be used in a filing that makes it impossible to find without that error or name correction being known.

The clips I have of Noory talking about Art's autopsy, he mentions prescription drugs, nothing illegal. Had he said something like that he would have been pilloried here and elsewhere(and rightly so) but there's no proof of that. Sorry I'm calling bullshit

He doesn't come right out and devalue women directly, but he condones and even praises women who committed adultery as well as used near nudity to get ahead.
If you were made Premiere CEO today how would you address GN's misogyny? Outright fired? suspended? On-air apology to women(panty models and burlesque dancers in particular)? forced to attend women's sensitivity training? sex addict rehab?

But she was probably getting a suppository from her care giver.  You could tell by the way the caller did not elaborate that he was a little embarrassed. Obviously, his wife was not having bodily fun.  And George just cracked up laughing.  Over and over.  I guess it was good for him.  We all have our many flaws, but laughing at a heart failure patient should not be one of them.
Actually the caller said his wife had fallen asleep while he was on hold and she was snoring. It's interesting your first thought in this audio-Rorshach test was "man chats away happily about Elvis to national radio host while ill wife receives suppository from caregiver in the background" gives quite an insight
