What the hell happened today?  Just a blood bath.   :'(

Not uncommon for dying people to hang on just long enough to get through the holidays.  My wife saw it happen frequently during career as an ICU nurse.

The Captain being gone is bad.   No more Super Dave?  That's tragic.   The back breaker is Mean Gene.   :'(

Daryl Dragon of The Captain & Tennille (I loved them when I was a little kid) died today of renal failure. He was 76.

I'll admit that I wasn't a big fan of "Muskrat Love."

I didn’t mind it but Love Will Keep Us Together was the real deal. It’s pretty kitch too but undeniably catchy.

You are a brave man to admit such a thing. :o

That said I found Toni to be moderately hawt. But check the pupils out on Daryl, he must have been totally baked at the time.

Well, I did say that I was a little kid when it was a hit...and yes, I too had a mad crush on Toni. ;)

From wiki, sounds like the guy was squandering his hawt babe:

QuoteTennille filed for divorce from Dragon in the State of Arizona on January 16, 2014, after 39 years of marriage. Dragon stated he was unaware of this until he was served with the divorce papers.[10] Dragon, contacted by TMZ on January 22, 2014, stated: "I don't know why Toni filed for divorce."[11]

On January 23, 2014, The Washington Post reported health insurance related to health issues might be the reason for the divorce, as both issues had been referenced in divorce documents filed with the courts. Tennille had reported on her blog in 2010 her husband's neurological condition was characterized by such extreme tremors he could no longer play keyboards.[12]

The divorce was finalized in July 2014. In her memoirs, Tenille described their marriage as loveless and lacking physical affection.[13][14]

Regarding his ex-wife's new memoirs, Dragon stated, "No, I haven't read it." In an interview on March 17, 2016, Dragon, responding to the book by his ex-wife, would comment only, "I was drugged (at the time of his divorce), that's all I can tell you."[15]

SWA Co-founder dead. Great businessman, funny guy, and someone who still wanted to keep flying fun with his gimmicks, stewardesses, and antics and sort of reinventing the industry with regional airports, cheaper prices, and gimmicks.

Well, he was a keyboard player with The Beach Boys between 1967-72. I’ll let you do the math. ;)

He outlived Milt Pappas by three years.
What is with the O's and "strange disappearances" of female family members?

ps: I love that the host had to mention "the Queen is the world's largest drug-dealer" on live TV during his brief death mention.
