Big Noory has the night off, probably gorging on all those leftovers.

So tonight we have Richard Syrett with Joseph Olson, some retired engineer to discuss "the emerging scientific field of magnetobiology and the possible connection between radio electrical waves and viruses."

Then open lines. Lucky for the Sad Pack, Richard is so kind to them.

He was a typical Coast guest rambling on about nefarious coverups in science. I don't have the acumen in any science to know what if anything a guest like this claims is true but I am quite sure that if a real scientist is listening they are laughing at the guest knowing most of what they are claiming is pure garbage. Some of these people aren't 100% charlatans, they believe what they're saying.

Heh, heh... I wondered what that awful drivel was.  The main thing for Snorge, it was excruciatingly long, so he could skip out a little earlier with Tommee for a Thanksgiving turkey on whole wheat.

I’m thankful for a Snoorway-free C2C three day weekend, with Syrett and Punnett.

GNS

haha it was really long and terrible. Josh Groban obviously can sing that Disney/Broadway style but it's so hokey - when you see animated characters singing it's fine.

'What we know can be
And everyday, we hope for
What we still can't see
It's up to us, to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for'

lolol lyrics so bad, a 12 year old writes poems this bad, no wonder George and Tommy liked it. I'd love to see George and Tommy do 'You've Got A Friend in Me' as a duet at one of those stage shows. Or any of his regular guests,  Ed Dames, Whitley Strieber, Joshua P Warren.

god i love this show, it's an amazing parody even if nobody involved in the show nor 99% of the audience realizes it. He just played out the show with a neverending song with hilariously bad lyrics - i figured it came from a Christian musician or a Disney animated movie -  looked it up, Josh Groban from a 2007 Christmas album. 'There's So Much To Be Thankful For'  - you can't get sappier, ol' George got out his handkerchief I bet.

Cornelius calls in to tell George that he believes Death is stalking him. This alarmed George so Cornelius assured George he wasn't going to kill himself. George then summed up Cornelius's phonecall 'Ok we have you on record.' LOL he's now hoping Cornelius dies so he can use it as show content 'our friend Cornelius died today we've learned folks. Tommy let's play that phonecall with Cornelius from 6 months ago.' 'You know how I feel folks, there are no coincidences. Very strange.'

he just made up another story about himself and his powers of intuition about the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, a Great Lakes freighter that sunk killing all its crew on Lake Superior in the 70s. According to George he was working at the Detroit TV station and had heard something about the ship, so he called his night crew in and said 'fellas I need you to drive up to Lake Superior, I have this feeling that something big is happening.'  You know this is complete bullshit, there was no 'strange feeling',  he was a TV news director, a wire report came into the newsroom that a ship on Lake Superior was in distress, being a local story a crew from his station was sent to report on it.

'I'm a believer in pets. I don't think pets are as evil as some people think.' - George Noory

wtf is he talking about? who thinks pet are evil?

lol he's so simple - fascinated by the idea of evil babies and evil dogs and cats.

THANKS FOR WORKING ON THE HOLIDAY, GEORGE!!!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

I've told you before why Noory works on holidays. HE HAS NO OTHER INTERESTS NOR ANYTHING ELSE TO DO. His family doesn't even interest him. His entire life and identity is Coast2Coast, I also think he recognizes he is not good at his job so he goes above and beyond to prove his loyalty to his employers by working on holidays and rarely taking vacations.

Try to think of all the people who recover.  And flu deaths have never had much measurement, let alone standardized measurement.  So any documentation of historical flu deaths is way, way under-measured.  Especially now that providers slap the Covid label on any death related to Covid, even if a patient actually died in the hospital of a fall or something unrelated to their reason for admission.  I did a boat load of research on this and am still thinking it's no worse than many flus have been.

You could take echinacea.

I'm not much worried about my friend, he's got no comorbidities and is 50, odds of serious Covid19 disease are very low for him but the disease is a killer and there are many people without comorbidities getting very sick and it's probably an unknown genetic cause.

Flus are serious for older people,  tens of thousands die of influenza each year -  we are adding Covid on top of flu, the numbers are out there, excess deaths since Covid are way up over previous date ranges for expected deaths from all causes.

don't be a Noory. Covid is real and China needs to pay for all the damage it has caused. In any civil court in any country with a functioning legal system China would be found liable for all of this tragedy and the damage awards would bankrupt them back into the Ming dynasty where they belong. Biden and his family have been in on the China gravy train for years and the Democrats won't say anything negative about the Chinese commie bastards let alone holding them entirely accountable. Trump was the first Western leader to stand up to them in any way. There will be more pandemics, the globalists will make sure of it.

ugh i think my best friend has Covid. I've kind of admired him throughout this thing, he's not a Covid denier like Noory but he's not been that careful while I have been only going out to shop and pick up take out, him and his gf went to Nashville for a few days to check the city out as a possible landing spot and now he's sick, she's fine so far. he's in good physical shape, just turned 50.

Noory's going to get this absolutely, it's fucking everywhere and is going to get worse for the next few months, vaccines or not. Noory already says he's not going to be vaccinated. He's going to get Tommy killed, dude had a pulmonary embolism already and is fat. George is a sociopath, he barely reacted to the death of his sister. Missed just a show or two when his father died. Tommy, he won't miss any shows, he'll do some tribute for a few minutes and then cut out early.

no surprise this gargoyle fraternizes with Richard Hoagland. He talks about 'my research' 'my investigations' and just said 'microbiologists attend my lectures',  the grandiose delusions that he is something more than a slob who reads what other paranoid delusional slobs write and say on the Internet.

this can't be on the radio, he's said 'shithead' 'bullshit' 'fucking bullshit' a bunch of times. i am listening via TalkStreamLive to a feed 'KXL-FM' though. You can swear now on FM radio?

#70

Noory's attempts at banter are so sad. There's just nothing in that head that's interesting. He comes out of commercial to some old 50's song and attempts to turn it into an interesting personalized bit of radio and it just sits there like undigested food in your belly. 'That song was in the movie The Alamo. I really like that song.'

Ralph Wiggum of radio.

That about covers a Speilberg production cost, was this non-entity of a movie profitable?

https://youtu.be/NjpbaLg1hVs

and another thing;  what name is Dave Norway going to be re-incarnated as?  Diego Farce or some-suck...

Nautical Shore;  broken search function:  No Love.

-p

'Made on a production budget of $175 million, with about $150 million more spent on global marketing costs, the film needed to gross at least $440 million in order to break even.'

so it was profitable with a total box office of nearly $600M, then you have all the other revenue streams for a film beyond theaters.

literally never heard of the book or movie. showing my age i guess but it's also how technology has changed things,  cinemas are dying, people talk much more about TV series like GoT than any blockbuster theatrical release.

Knapp had an author guest on, good guest and interview but I felt like Noory should feel, the guy's book was a major motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg and I have never heard of it. Ready Player One - had to go look it up, made over $500M box office.

Mike the Millennial needs to be banned, every call is the same, the obsequious compliments for the guest who until their name appears on the Coast website Mike has never heard of before, then 'i'd like to thank you on behalf of my generation, I'm a millennial and 24 years old'  kid definitely has a problem, OCD, the obsession and compulsion to tell strangers he's a millennial is so weird.

also checked, Mike is barely a millennial, he's right on the border between millennial and Gen Z  - millennials are 24 to 39. he should give me his youth, he's not going to do anything with it - Noory is a grifter, I could book Noory for a weekend spent with Mike the Millennial for probably $2500 plus expenses, Mike would take the deal, i get his youth for a weekend with his hero doing whatever they want to do.

I gotta go with Punnett as best Coast host. I like George Knapp but he's been booking a lot of guests almost as bad as Norry's. Same with Syrett.

When did Norway start with his Billy Gibbons obsession? Because I find it hard to believe that he liked ZZ Top considering his musical choices. Did he seize upon it to impress "Barry from North Carolina?"

For what it is worth Rense is a yuuge Mario Lanza aficionado.

Because Gibbons is a Coast listener and I guarantee you he's a Coast listener because of Art Bell but like a lot of Coast listeners it's a habit so they still listen under Noory's awful stewardship. It's the same with John Fogarty. Noory knows absolutely nothing about ZZ Top or CCR - he thought Lean on Me was a Fogarty song because John and his family did a cover on a recent album.

In my opinion, that lame "You must like what you do" ranks among the worst of George's repertoire of mindless questions/comments guaranteed not to lead to an interesting response!

Speaking of mindless questions, George doesn't seem to put much thought into his interviews. Like when John Fogerty said his daughter turned him on to Taylor Swift. George should've asked if he had ever met American Idol season 5 winner Taylor Hicks or any of the guys named Taylor in Duran Duran. That makes as much sense as his usual questions!

He has no idea who any of those people are. His lack of knowledge about anybody or anything pop culture related post 1972 is a good indicator how little he interacts with his children and grandchildren.

It's bizarre, he's not that old, he grew up right in the middle of a cultural and musical revolution, it seems impossible even for a dork like him to have not absorbed some of it but he managed to live through the 60s and 70s as if he was 60 rather than 16.

I honestly don't know which of these 2 broads who fill in semi-regularly on weekends is which. They both are no-talents - pretty much Noory with vaginas.

I am in Pahrump Nevada tonight, fleeing permanently  from the *hit-hole that Oregon has become. To sum it up in one word: unlivable. I have not listened to the show in ten days, and where I'm going, I may never hear it again. I will count on this thread to keep me informed about the weird and wacky world of Dave Norway. You all must soldier on without my keen ear picking up on George's unspoken thoughts. I got a chuckle reading the updates tonight. Yep, it would take some searching to find a more unprepared interviewer of a classic rock star.

Went to Hoover Dam today. There is a monument there to the builders. I was astonished to see that the inlaid stone plaza depicts a huge astrology chart for the exact date and time of the dedication ceremony. The monument is chock-a-block full of creepy Masonic symbolism. I must say, from the crowds of people there, and at the Grand Canyon, one would not think there was another lock-down going on.

where are you going?

and where's JoJo? hope Covid didn't get her, she has to make an honest man of Noory and take him far far away from the radio.

holy fuck is this awkward, poor John Fogarty. Noory who is totally out of his element, more than usual, working hard to have a conversation with a god damn music legend - so he brings up another legendary musician of the same vintage, Bob Dylan 'Bob Dylan, I didn't really like him when I was a kid but I like him now that i growed up' LOL a 70 year old man referring to himself as 'growed/grown up'.

so Fogarty tells George he was a Dylan fan from the beginning and so should have George been. Awkward silence then 'I always thought it was funny seeing Bob Dylan with that harmonica around his neck'  Oh that's hilarious, why would a folk rock singer with a guitar would have a harmonica hanging from his neck - hahah so silly, thanks George, I never saw the humor in Bob Dylan. I'll say it again ' God never made a bigger moron.'

then he continues on with the inane almost unbelievably dumb like he just dropped down to Earth from another galaxy 'People can probably see and hear you on YouTube. Do you think you're on YouTube?'

now Norry who knows absolutely nothing about music that wasn't in Mom Norry's record collection asks rock n roll legend John Fogarty whether he ever met Frank Sinatra.

OH FUCK, MIKE THE MILLENNIAL WHO I GUARANTEE YOU HAS NEVER LISTENED TO OR HEARD OF CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL or JOHN FOGARTY CALLS IN WITH HIS BULLSHIT QUESTIONS HE WROTE DOWN FROM A GOOGLE SEARCH.

#79

Off to a roaring start of another night of Noory numbskullery. He just stumbled through a long compliment to John Fogarty about his great song which they made a great movie about that inner city high school principal, Lean on Me. Fogarty of course had to break the news that Lean on Me was written and recorded by Bill Withers in the 1970s. Then George talked about the virus and how both his and Fogarty's shows have been cancelled and then name dropped Billy Gibbons for the thousandth time which Fogarty had no reaction to whatsoever. Fogarty understands the Covid situation, says we just have to be patient - Noory neglects to tell him that he tried to hold a live show in a small theater filled with elderly people without telling the public health office.

I can't think of a worse host to be interviewing a rock n' roll legend but here we are. Half an hour into it and not an interesting thing said.

actually what Noory said about God was worse than I thought - he said 'God is an EXCUSE for how everything got here' and the guest followed up with 'It's an excuse for IGNORANCE. I have no time for that.' then claimed he knew the Bible inside out and offered some ridiculous synopsis of Moses's story, killing his brother or something, ripping out somebody's tongue - his point I guess is they are all just made up stories so who cares. Then the old comic book guy went after Trump, saying that people who believe in God are like 'Donald, who got people to believe Covid doesn't exist, he's like Jim Jones'. The lies about what Trump has said and done are insane, it's gaslighting - Trump never has said Covid doesn't exist, telling people it would be over soon or whatever is not saying it doesn't exist, he never said the white supremacists carrying tiki torches at Charlottesville were 'fine people', he never told people to inject bleach -  Trump talks too much, he's a bit like Noory,  like an 8 year old when he heard bleach kills the virus he mused/wondered if there was some way to get bleach inside the body to attack the virus, obviously without the poisonous effect.

Keep the scammers coming, Snorge!

This is pure Noory. The first guest goes on a pretty mocking diatribe about God, calling the Bible a historical document he has studied but he has no time for even considering if God is real because it's all a fairy tale and there are real things like science to learn and think about, typical atheist take on religion. Noory in total agreement adds 'God is just a story to explain how everything got here probably.'

An hour later he's interviewing the woo lady and he asks her what the spirit world is like and woo lady describes it as being filled with cathedrals, and houses, and pretty much everything in this world and Noory just goes along with it 'mmhm' 'interesting take' 'that's right'.

I'm a masochist, I am listening to the first hour that I missed, replayed.

Noory with an absolutely fascinating story for the comic book artist guest about Walt Disney. Now you see Walt Disney was a young struggling cartoonist animator and he had this mouse character and was ready to call him Mortimer Mouse and when Walt told the other cartoon people the name they weren't excited by it and suggested Walt 'have more fun with it',  so Mortimer became the much more fun sounding 'Mickey' and the rest is history. Incredible story and told so well.

this guest is nauseating, a comic book artist who claims to be a science genius and of course Noory is too dumb to push back on anything the guest claims. He just spat out an atheistic screed, Walt Da Atheist probably jizzed his old man jeans. George once again pulled out his 'I don't get the Big Bang' and the guest sympathized with George, told him physicists should just admit they don't get it either, they do get it idiot, you are a grown man who will leave this earth whose only accomplishment is drawing cartoons for nerdy losers. He hates Trump, called him Jim Jones. Noory as always just nods in agreement with anything the guest says. I checked out the guest's Twitter - what a fucking socialist loser - ranting that college should be free for all -  yeah it should, and so should houses and cars and food, it all just falls from the sky doesn't it.

Wow, the bullshit just keeps coming and Noory can just go 'mmhmm'  and 'that's right' and add his usual mindless contributions his reptilian brain  -  the comic book artist/scientist goes through this whole long spiel about the Pangea hypothesis and how it's an absurd idea, that Central America perfectly joining North and South America proves it's a preposterous idea - Noory is too dumb to even get what guest is trying to get across and out comes the comment you'd expect from an 8 year old 'It's incredible, it all fits together like a puzzle.' The guest as many guests do was speechless for a few moments.

Now George is really working hard to make this interview interesting -  'Who came up with all those gadgets in Batman?' again the guest is caught of guard by Noory's simpleton ways and just brushes off the stupid question with a quick answer. But Noory wasn't done yet, he lowered his bucket down into the well of stupidity and followed up with 'What about Dick Tracy and his talking watch?' LOL nobody in the day world would believe this show isn't a parody.

Oh, the guest just said a naughty word on air and George's prissy school marm character rapped the guest's knuckles with her ruler.

good lord, after 3 nights with interesting shows hosted by Punnett and Knapp this inanity really is like getting hit upside the head with a two by four. I can't really quantify how bad Noory is, he's definitely in a league of his own.

November 15, 2020, 05:06:27 PM

I know the bar is very low because of Noory's embarrassing baseline performance as Coast host but it is so refreshing to listen to Coast when Punnett is hosting. He puts thought into booking guests and books them himself, he actually READS their books and brings to the discussion quite a lot of life and career experience - Noory brings absolutely nothing, he's like the unmarried old uncle who comes to the family pot luck dinner with nothing and stands around creeping out the kids who whisper questions to their moms 'Why isn't Uncle George married?' 'I saw Uncle George dip his finger in the macaroni salad' 'Uncle George smells'

He had the remaining members of 70s comedy group Firesign Theatre on Friday - I've always heard about them but don't think I ever heard any of their work - I somehow thought they were what Second City grew out of. Punnett had lots to offer in that interview being in radio in major midwestern markets for so long and a real appreciation for radio comedy. Nice moment for Ian, some legendary Chicago radio personality who Ian had never met was listening to the show and contacted Ian on Twitter.

The Nazi Wives guest was good too - love anything Nazi related. The psycho-sexual aspect of Hitler's life is fascinating -  dude was such a fucked up monster in so many ways. I'd like to read a book on that topic even if most of it is conjecture.

And now the wheel will be turned back over to Noory for another week of terrible guests and worse interviews and call ins from the audience.

dog ate Richard's homework again.

hard drive crash lol

i barely listened this week but I did catch a few minutes with the nutbag L.A. Marzuli, and Noory came through with flying colors as always with the creepy 'baby' question relating to these elongated skulls in Peru. George wanted to know what torture babies were subjected to that stretched their skulls.

Noory is preparing for death, or preparing for more deaths of his aging carousel of regular guests, he now out of nowhere regularly will pause the show to tell the guest 'I just want you to know what a fantastic person you are and how much I appreciate you and all the work that you do.'  So fucking strange, I listen to a ton of talk radio and have never heard a host engage in inanities like Noory does. I guess Stanton Friedman's death really hit him hard, so hard that let's turn his last moments on earth gasping for breath on the floor of Toronto's Pearson Airport into a cute little anecdote I can work into my show as often as possible.

Twitter and Facebook are not "censoring conservatives."

They're taking down misleading, potentially harmful content -- such as Dr. Scott Atlas saying that masks are ineffective against Covid -- or demonstrably false content, such as videos that have been doctored to inaccurately show Joe Biden falling asleep during a television interview or thinking he's in the wrong state.

Every fact-check site has demonstrated that these videos were altered by doing a side-by-side comparison with the original.

If conservatives don't want to be "censored," perhaps they should stop creating fake videos and posting them on social media.

shut your whore mouth you have no idea what you're talking about.
#89

If the show was parody it would be brilliant but of course it's not. Noory is the Ted Baxter of talk radio. I was half listening, the guest is a British guy and talking about haunted houses and related supernatural and spiritual woo. What caught my attention was Noory apparently believing he had something very interesting to add that the guest and audience wouldn't know ...... Noory explains to the guest  "You have a writer who is your countryman, his name is Charles Dickens and he wrote in the 1800's, one of his books was Christmas Carol, in this book there's a character named Scrooge and Scrooge is looking through a window and asks 'Is this what WILL be or what COULD be?'

I'm going to look up this author DIckens, it all sounded so interesting. Noory should do a book club like Oprah Winfrey.

#90

Such an empty human being, has no real opinions about anything, tries to pass himself off as a conservative when it's convenient and as a liberal when that's convenient - he stands for nothing so whatever the guest is he becomes because it takes no work to just agree with a guest. His cowardly habit of getting the last word in with Howard Bloom when Bloom is no longer even there is what defines who Noory is. A hack and a coward.

Tonight he claimed 'the social networking people like Twitter and Facebook don't know what to do or believe, it's this fake news, so they just decide to take down anything that is controversial.'  YOU FUCKING LIBERAL IMBECILE! That isn't what's happening, they are censoring conservatives, they are an arm of the Democratic party as are the major TV networks and are becoming more fascistic with every passing day. Trump's mere presence has exposed the liberal biased rot in the media and the Democratic party. If Biden wins the Dems and media will throw him into the volcano. He's just a useful idiot for them for a very brief period of time.

At least Noory's guest set him straight about Twitter and Facebook.
