I have a new Proposal for you, this one involves Portugal and potentially some ocean-side property.  I figure I could reluctantly sell off some the PFDRp holdings and make this happen.

SPeaking of digressions, your earlier comments on "DeepBlue" did not go unheeded.  As I recall, the engineers that wrote it went on to attempt an AI that could play Go.  "AlphaGo" was the first incarnation of it, I believe, and there is an interesting documentary (probably the very one I watched on the subject some thyme ago) that can be found on the various Vidya-player services on the '-Tubes.

Both of those remind me of my ongoing, unfinished, and yet-to-be-coded Project for Minesweeper.  I believe both "AlphaGo" and "DeepBlue" were, in a way, attempting to solve the "P=NP?" question.

Certainly, my little Hobby Horse is attempting that.  I understand there is a small Prize associated with the Herculean (Sisyphutian?) Task of proving "P=NP" if someone has not already done so.

Of course, I do not expect to win any Prizes:  at best I am an amateur Mathematician;  which I find rhymes with Patrician, again I digress...

Of no interest to anyone but myself, the above screenshot is where I currently sit in the development cycle of this purely notional "Artifice of Intellect" I intend to construct.  This is the 24th examination of the problem that I felt might prove to be useful in its' development.  I believe this is turn "n+26" where "n" is the unknown number of moves I made before I realized the uncovered bit was going to be a case of "Non-Trivial Logic..."

Also of interest, is that I was able to predict that the square/cell 30,9 (x,y) would indeed be a "2" before it was uncovered.  A thing I probably do all the time subconsciously, but had the "Eureka!" moment just today.  Luckily, I was not a "Fat Man in A Bath Tub" when this happened, as the game is computerized and that would have been dangerous...  Again, I digress.  The the gameboard is a bit "Blue," to further my digression.  Hah!

In any case, I expect when I have thyme to revisit that mess there will be something profoundly obvious I am missing in my interpretation of probabilities with the above conundrum...  There are an alarming number of 50/50's in there that form a chain interspersed with a few 2:1's & 1:2's that make it quite the knot to untie.

The "guess-work" implicit to this game is somewhat annoying, and since the "first Guess" or your initial move is rigged to NEVER be a mine, it makes the entire enterprise suspect.  I think it was my suspicious nature that ultimately led me on this quest.

Much as I believe, but cannot prove, "P=NP";  I also believe that the Micro$uck version of Minesweeper cheats, and I CAN prove it by the very first move:  One never uncovers a Mine on the first move, which is un-possible unless cheating is involved.

That last paragraph might be the long sought for proof that indeed P does equal NP;  but it might be viewed as cheating:  which is generally frowned upon and not allowed in the Mathematical Whirl'd.
