Art says it was george says it was is it still politics free?

stevesh

Many here would disagree (but then, many here see political agendas in everything), but I think C2C is pretty much politics-free, overtly, anyway.

slipstream

Coast to Coast AM has never been "politics free"

coaster

Art and George have always talked politics. When did they say it was politics free?

While agree with stevesh that C2C is not "overtly" political, in that it's not a Bill O'Reilly-Rachel Maddow political pornfest, I agree with slipstream and coaster that politics has always been a part of C2C, at least inherently.

While it's true that Art would bring up politics from time to time (his hatred for Clinton was thinly veiled at best), it was never as bad as it's gotten with Mr Wells. That guy oughtta farm himself out as Clyde Lewis' backup. At least Art's political opinions ran on both sides of the spectrum.

Wells INTENDS to be political.  Noory has no clue what his politics are.  He's just looking for thuh  trooth.

If George's politics don't grate against your eardrums, you most likely agree with the political skew you're hearing.  If they do, you may hear George's politics interwoven throughout most shows.  I do.

I cringed just last Friday when Alex Jones was again Jorch's big exciting promise for Tuesday night.  :P

What political party would want noory speaking for them? (it's rhetorical)

Alex Jones... what hasn't been said? the fact he gets credibility really shows how diseased our political discourse has become.

I'm sure Jones has some "hot takes" on the Marathon bombing all ready for his appearance. Fertilizer for infertile minds.

<snip>

The Know Nothing party, of course.

I think that the show was more likely "paranormal free" at one point than "politics free" at any point in it's existence.

Art didn't start gravitating towards the odd stuff until the show had been on for a few years, and it was very much a political show before this. I have some very early nineties shows from before I started listening (first heard art in 94 or 95) and they reflect this.

A political party with a death wish.

Limbaugh and beck of the night staring wells as Limbaugh and Noory as Beck.

Art talked politics all the time in the 90s. Dreamland was the all paranormal show, but he brought more and more paranormal topics into coast over the years. By 97 it was know as the paranormal show since politics were so boring.

I don't mind the occasional political show if it's about sort of big picture issues, trends, power structures etc.  It's the day-to-day polarized talking points, sensational rhetoric, and general opinionated bluster I can't handle.  At least c2c generally has a fairly low amount of that.
