Well minus be the membership sold for mitd. The website.
It would be a lot of work for them to change the name.

Yeah, it would.  The only value in the MitD name is the number of links that have been posted over the last 3 years. If the website name is changed all of those links would need to be updated along with the SEO. Traffic would most likely temporarily plummet. Keith would need to revamp everything.

All Heater has to do is pick a new name and start fresh. But then she'd have to go to work.

That said, maybe it's time to burn MitD down and start over.

Why would you manipulate others like that?
Don't you think that adults here can decide for themselves what to read? and what to skip, to scroll by.
Why would you want to deprive others from reading something that for you maybe was not pleasant and beneficial
but for others might be very beneficial and helpful.

Right now you are acting like one of those evil controlling mothers who is hiding letters that her son or daughter is waiting to receive from
the love of their life, and as seen in movies or in real life there is miscommunication between them.
They think that the other person dumped them and they marry somebody else they don't really love, just to find out 20-30 years later that their evil mother
kept them a'part.

Don't be that person.
Don't try to control people in such manipulative way.
Let people decide for themselves.

Oh Lasha, if someone skips ten pages of your work just remember all the attention you've already received here.

Ah not so fast...there were contracts.

And professional pride?

Likely.

Where would the scumbags be if they didn't have people making excuses for them, and women who would sleep with them anyway

You hold out no possible growth in the man in his last two relationships, for the daughter and infant he didn't walk away from, for the loving wife and business partner of 15 years from whom we heard no evidence of sociopathy?

People change, they get old, wisdom seeps in, a switch gets flipped, etc.

Your angry indictment may be sound, but it also smacks of being highly personal for a non family member and entertainer.

Art Bell had chance to fix a lot of the pains and bitter tears he inflicted on his first two children son Vincent and daughter Lisa.
Here is a quote from "Lost in Space"  Philadelphia Weekly in 2007
The unacknowledged son of one of America's most popular talk show hosts works in the mailroom at Philadelphia magazine.

https://web.archive.org/web/20160105194756/http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-and-opinion/lost_in_space-38428459.html

"I started the conversation by saying, 'This is Sachiko's son,'" recalls Pontius of his single conversation with Bell.
"I felt so disconnected by not having known Art senior, and I guess I feel liberated because not having heard from him haunted me for, like, 35 years.
I saw flashes of emotion from him here and there. Maybe the first 20 minutes I sensed a little guilt, but he never apologized for leaving me, my mother and my sister."

Bell says, "I guess I wasn't ready to apologize for something I didn't know I had done.
I'm not the kind of person who abandons people, and I didn't think I had abandoned them."

Lisa Minei says she's been in contact with Bell before. The now 38-year-old mother of two first contacted Bell when she was 10 years old.
"My mother had never tried to hide anything," says Minei, "but she never talked about him much.
So I guess I found out his name from her, and found him on my own."

Toguchi says she also spoke to Bell briefly by phone at the time too. "He said his mother and father were still alive," she says.
"He asked if [Vincent] still had allergies, that sort of thing."

She remembers the conversation as "polite," but says she didn't talk to him for very long.
"We have a saying in Japan," she says. "When someone leaves, do not follow him. It means to move forward."

When Bell left, she burned her photographs of him. "I threw away everything related to him," she says.

Later, when Minei turned 28, she says she sent a letter to Bell, who had by then achieved fame. He responded with a one-page letter.
It reads: "Many years ago I spoke with your mom. She told me that you and [Vincent] had been adopted by the man who had married her.
It seemed better to let your family remain undisturbed. She told me he was a wonderful man who was father to you and Michael ... "

He also sent a signed copy of his autobiography The Art of Talk. The inscription reads: "To Lisa, Here's the 'rest of the story.'"
She says they emailed each other for a short time after that, but he didn't seem particularly enthused about starting a relationship.
She soon stopped emailing him.

"He never wrote and said, 'Hey, why'd you stop emailing me?'" she says. "So I figured he didn't really want to be in touch."

She didn't save copies of the emails.
"I feel like I tried, and if he was interested in starting a relationship he would have," she says in a phone interview from Boston.
"I'm more interested now on my brother's behalf."

Art Bell wrote in the description of his "The Art of Talk" book he gave to Lisa.."To Lisa, Here's the 'rest of the story.'
I don't know maybe I'm wrong someone please correct me if this is the case but I listen 3 times to that part in the audio version of Art's book
(Keith played on MITD for few nights in a row), here is a link but Keith has better audio quality.

At 50:15 Art starts talking about his wives, at 52:32 he calls her Kim Davis (not her real name in his book), she is Vickie Lee Baker Bell, mother of Art's
third child, son Art Bell IV Junior.
Why isn't Art mentioning his first wife: Sachiko Toguchi Bell with whom he had 2 children, Vincent and Lisa.
The only thing I can think of is maybe they were not officially married, or maybe Art is just lying...again.

In the deposition that Liberace posted, he did the same thing. He did not mention his first wife or his first two kids. Even if the marriage was annulled and the kids were adopted, the way the questions were asked, it seems like he would have had to mention them.

Where does it show HLW was lying about just moving into the compound and she has been there since 2016? I am very upset about learning about Arts past. before it was vague but now their are details.. i'm upset!!!!!!! I'm mad!! tootsie w

I feel and share your pain TW as well.
Was not easy for me learning those dark nasty things about Art my radio talk show hero, but reasoning took over emotions and that's why I'm doing this now.
Society needs moments like this. We need to stop take a look around and address problem areas, problem people.
Otherwise evil and disrespect for human lives will overtake us completely.
Art Bell got cought. His sweet talking charm was not enough to silence truth seekers.
Let this be warning to others.

PaulK,

There's something in all this mess about not worshiping  idols with feet of clay. I have a lot of miles on my odometer and have seen idols turn to demons before. I will listen to old classic Art shows (e.g. Malachi Martin) but I will perhaps listen with different ears.

Has anyone considered the odd timing of Art having his last kid? Think about this... women use pregnancy to entrap men they don't want to leave them i have friends this has happened too. What if Airyn knew what was going on between Art and Heather and she was worried she would be the next to go. Without Art she wouldn't have any money or a job and would end up in a very bad situation like Art's first wife.

What if the only thing Airyn could do was forget her birth control and have another kid to keep from getting evicted and living in a cardboard box? If so it bought her enough time for the old bastard to die and inherit his millions.

Excellent points.
I was thinking the same, that it was her who initiated having child conceived and born in the USA.
Several Bellgabbers raised that point in the past as well.
But since we are not sure 100%, there is a chance that Art come up with that idea, (just to be fair to Art in case we are wrong).
Tho I don't think that after his last hospital visit and posting picture on his hospital bed and very serious health complications
that after that he was much into recreational sex.
I feel that to have one more child was as you said Airyn's idea and her anchor.

I think the only reason Art stopped "Quitting" with Airyn is that he knew he was a sick old man and would need a live in nurse. Art seems like the kind of person that never learned to cook or clean and a 3rd world wife is cheaper than a maid. Plus...free sex. Kids were probably just to keep her busy and not asking too many questions.
