Video Gaming

Finished Hotline Miami 1 and 2 this summer. Great games, and the first that I played seriously in a few years.

Might have to get a next-gen console. I loved Red Dead Redemption, I'd say it was superior to GTA4 and 5 and I really got into those as well.

Sadly was delayed until late October.

I finally figured out that a loser in mom's basement is something that actual jealous losers call people better than them. ;D

Love those classic video games. The docu on the Atari 2600 ET on Netflix is great.

Marble Madness, great game when it came out.

Good game as long as you have a trackball to play it with. Otherwise it's torture.

Up All Night

I'm not currently gaming, but, back in the day, I had an Atari 5200 (Defender). Then later, I picked up gaming again through a friend, who was a Sega CD enthusiast.

Road Rash
Ecco the Dolphin
Need For Speed II

Then, I got into Playstation:
NFS II
Medal Of Honor

For a couple of years, I worked at a call center as a Playstation C/S agent. Mostly helping the electronically challenged getting their Playstation properly hooked up to their TV, usually, at that time, by way of their VCR.

The most typical case is that the parents dump their kids off with their playstation at the grandparents. Then I'd get a call from the grandparents to help them plug the RCA cables into the correct "inputs", and to somehow get the VCR into "Video" mode, which they had never done before. And, as you might have gussed, some og the older VCR's could ONLY go into "Video" mode with the remote, that was long lost...

The other bulk of calls were to troubleshoot a Playstation that wasn't working. When we figured out that the Playstation was connected properly, then, if it still wouldn't work, I'd give them instructions to ship the unit to be repaired for in or ut of warranty service.

Note, Sony would refuse to repair any unit, regardless of warranty, if it had bio damage, including roach infestations, or baby brother pee pee in it. Or a spilled glass of juice or milk.

Ha the 5200 was a great system. The controllers were a nightmare. Way ahead of their time. Analog movement with the full keypad. And the trackball that was almost as big as the consol.

Star Raiders was pretty cool for the 5200. Countermeasure. Pole Position. My bro and I used to have epic games of baseball and football on it. Great times.

Years ago I found the 5200 roms online and got Star Raiders and Joust working on an old PC. Now I can play Atari 5200 Star Raiders on a 27” iMac running Windows XP on Bootcamp. 😄
