It's a soft coup during a cold civil war now. Pence will be their reward for success.

I'd call it a soft coup as well but the clear partisan power over the FBI, CIA, and IRS put a definite edge on it.

I do believe I rattled the wee ones cage some... ;)

I wonder how it's going to like living Heather's DOX'd life soon? Course I won't do that here, too small an audience, no this goes 4 and 8 chan and then we'll see if it has much howl left in it... 8)

...and all I wanted was a place to listen to Vara and discuss the show without someone trying to turn it into Heather Wade 2.0! 😀😁😂🤣😃

Huh oh!

You can use standard tuning but most use Open D or Open G tuning. I tinker with my own Open D minor tuning. To each his own, really. A few examples:

My favorite slide song, Feeling Bad Blues by Ry Cooder uses Open D. Use this when you want a sad, dark feel.

https://youtu.be/ftRMqJaAFyI

Stevie Ray Vaughan used standard tuning and you'd use this if you want to sound really muddy and messy - but you have to be a better player than I to pull it off!

https://youtu.be/1032IfN5zq4

Open G makes for the happy, upbeat Chicago style. I believe that Foghat used this in Sweet Home Chicago but it could have been standard as well.

https://youtu.be/YQhl8j_vkBo

Duane Allman played the slide guitar on the Layla album and I believe he used Open D throughout -- so it's not so much the tuning as it is the incredible talent that Duane had.

I'm not sure about The Stones but Open D and Open G are a safe bet.

Well, I'll be damned - a post about Vara on the Vara thread. It's a miracle! 😢

Priceless! Proves EXACTLY who/what you are. Thanks.  ;)

What would George Noory think about it? The Heather Wade thread seems the most appropriate place to talk about George Noory, don't you think?

OK that makes sense, and that would account for the trebley Telecaster sound.

You ever play any Dobro?

National Resolectric - bet this would sound awesome.

I've never played one but I do play slide so if I ever get settled down in a place - I wouldn't rule one out!

To whom are you directing your shovel at? Hopefully, you're not protecting what Sean is up to? I don't think so.

So why are you sooo triggered by my commentary? Are you the self-appointed shovel police here? You can only see in black and white and have no color vision except red splatter near HW's home??? You have violent reactionary tendencies about what is going on... within yourself. Go shovel yourself, oh violent one.

I seriously doubt Sean in Carlsbad is going to drive over to see HW in person.

You're in your own nightmare of paranoia with your belief that real violence is going to break-out at the KoN compound. But seeing how you incessantly sheriff post and control here by piss marking in black and white I understand why you believe it. You're a hair triggered Big Foot.

Go bang your shovel on your peewee trees and hear you roar.

Of course, Sean is a complete asshole hater within the hive at Ellgab.

I know, right?! Imagine someone just jumping on random threads to talk about whatever agenda is on THEIR minds instead of sticking to the Topic of the Thread. I'm sure that you'd be the first one to agree how fucked up that is, right?

Say, have you looked at the new line of pencil sharpeners that they are coming out with?

The X Acto SchoolPro has a real nice one for $39.99 and here are its features:
Patented fly-away cutter system that prevents over-sharpening.
X-ACTO pencil sharpener has an extra-long blade life for heavy usage in classroom settings.
Manufacturer's 10-year limited warranty.

I don't know, it may be too expensive, what do you think?

There is another one, the Stanley Bostitch Personal for $23.09, and here are its features:
Powerful motor for stall-free operation under normal use.
High-capacity, easy-clean shavings tray with safety switch to prevent operation when tray is removed.
Backed by the manufacturer's 7-year limited warranty.

I just don't know...

Should I just go all out and crazy and get the X Acto Teacher Pro for $54.59? I know, crazy right?!!!
But look:
Patented SmartStop® shuts off motor and lights up to prevent over-sharpening.
Extra long blade life for heavy usage in classroom setting.
SafeStartâ,,¢ feature prevents the sharpener from operating unless the extra-large receptacle is in place.
Multiple settings for a variety of pencil sizes.
Manufacturer’s 10-year limited warranty.

Which one do you think Heather would choose, and why?

Super clean sound, and great specs:
GUITAR FEATURES:
•Handmade, Scatterwound Pickups
•Bigsby Tremolo
•Aged Hardware
•Aged Oak Neck
•Whiskey Barrel Top
•Chambered Tennessee Barnwood Body
•Jumbo Frets
•Locking Tuners
•Strap Locks

Any idea what a "scatterwound" pickup is? I mean this looks to be one of those guitars that combines humbuckers with single coil tap technology, am I right?

I looked it up and it said that it means hand wound, and that brings out more treble, along with more warmth of tone. I assumed this because that guy is mostly slide and finger picking.

As far as the pick up configurations - I'd be the last one to ask. I've spent the last twenty five years playing  acoustic classical guitar. I am mediocre at best and I have no desire to become a guitar great.

When I was nineteen and that's all us kids did was to hang out and play music on the porch? We were real good back then!

I use a Norelco electric razor.  As far as I know that company hasn't gone gay.  Keep the faith, brother--vee haff vays.

That being said, I do worry about the steadily declining sperm count in the male population.  Is it a leftest conspiracy to make men impotent and docile?  Are they doping our food, water, air?   Only Jackstar knows.

GO PATS!

https://www.gq.com/story/sperm-count-zero

I think GMO's and the behavioral drugs that they force upon kids are the root of it. However, societal conditioning under the guise of political correctness could be just as much (if not more) to blame:
Every social message sent to a male is derogatory and this has to place the younger ones in a state of an introverted fear of interaction with females - combined with encouragement towards a gay, effeminate attitude. This would naturally lower testosterone levels.

With everything else they are getting away with, in broad daylight, I wouldn't doubt a coup.
As matter of fact, what would you consider those bullshit charges of collusion in order to impeach him?

From Mort Kunstler

This Day in History: Robert E. Lee Born, 1807

Robert E. Lee was the son of an American Revolution hero, a high-ranking graduate of West Point, and a soldier with thirty years' experience when civil war began. Lee cast his lot with the Confederacy because his country â€" Virginia â€" had taken that course.

There is a fringe element that has interest in the French and Indian Wars. That is my favorite era.

A senior Department of Justice official (Bruce Ohr) says he repeatedly and specifically told top officials at the FBI and DOJ about dossier author Christopher Steele’s bias and his employer Fusion GPS’ conflicts of interest, information they kept hidden from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

These conversations involved high-level officials, including some who are now senior officials in the special counsel probe.

Ohr funneled to the FBI his wife’s opposition research, which had been secretly bought and paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton Campaign.

Initially, the FBI and Department of Justice claimed he had no involvement in the probe, despite his marriage to a Fusion GPS contractor. Then they claimed his role was unique.

It turns out that Ohr kept top officials at both the FBI and Department of Justice apprised of his conversations with Steele, passed along electronic and written materials from multiple Fusion GPS employees, and shared key information that was excluded from the FISA application to the courts.

Based on what you just wrote I think you have a love affair with Vara's truthieness.

Why be a Vara Excuse'r...he's a complete FU over that matter...HW is a complete FU too!

Based on EVERYTHING you write, you will use any and all angles to seque to your obsession with Heather Wade. You don't care about Vara - you just want to expand beyong the Heather thread.
You have no interests on here except Heather.
And yet, she is the mental one?
A bit of self evaluation would do you some good.
