I cant find my link but I used this handle without the 76 for damn near 20 years. Sometimes I just see what reaction I CAN get. I always did. Cant seem to find a reason to change. There is still a few web captures from me back in the 90s right around the time my first daughter was born lol. I miss the old net I really do. I did run a porn site. Oh hell I cant remember which one shut me down now its been so long. It was so fun tho.  I think it was the globe.com. 8)

I have sympathy for Heather too... despite her flaws.  She's obviously a very troubled person.  That said .. her mental aberrations are part of what makes her entertaining (until she descends, unhinged, into complete catladyland or defending a perceived slight).  Speaking of rebranding .. maybe it's Schrader's show that needs re-branding - considering that he changed the format and the bumper music (of which I'm NOT a fan).. and most of all .. isn't IN THE DESERT! :)  Dave's okay .. I'm not hot or cold on him currently. Let Dave find a show title that's more reflective of his own personality/location etc. that maybe connotes Art's legacy. Why not simply let Heather do a legacy/tribute show (since the new format has shed itself of the trappings of Art's MITD).. keep the name (since she really is Art's handpicked successor (like it or not - I never particularly did).. she IS in the desert .. broadcasting from Art's old studio.. and has been (apparently) for years - kept the format/music/style... and quite frankly, I'm not sure she's capable of rebranding herself past her mentoring.  Past any legal hurdles anyways. And yes - I DO know the answers to why everything I just posed can't happen.. it seems like a simple solution though.

Its fucking sad that this is what has become of the net that used to be. I like this site for that reason. There is some old school left in it but an aweful lot is just bullshit and snowflakes from other places. Used to be just some geeks on the net. People argued. Laughed. etc. Now its just like main stream. I dont have to like it. Entitled to my opinion.
Some of the chatrooms, back when Art and his cohorts used to raise hell on 3840, were great fun to play in.
I loved the 'take no prisoners' attitude. Carve 'em up like an easter ham.

stargazr1976

dude she really does look like art. I dont know. Just an uneducated hillbilly with delusions of grandeur. I've never worked a job were they didnt expect me to perform. Ya know. 18 hrs on the road or pipeline. They expected performance. Right now Im healing. Five bad discs in my back. Sometimes I just type shit to see the reaaction. surprised I was never banned. I'ved talked a lot of shit.

stargazr1976

yea doomed the old net was fun. period man.

Good nite folks take some with a grain of salt take the rest with my smile. peace. 8)

When the internet first emerged from the BBS era into the HTTP era, it was an exclusive club - mainly comprised of geeks, nerds and college students (geeky, nerdy ones)... and with that exclusivity, in chat rooms, conversations were measured, intelligent and certainly not polarized like they are today - and this is mainly the crowd the internet catered to. Now, ALL of the population is online and the internet caters to the lowest common denominator .. worse.. it caters now to the LCD in isolated, polarized bubbles .. feeding the fringes.

All Heter needs is a host writer

Referring to "Libtards" is a sure invitation to trade political insults.  Jes' sayin'

Not interested in normie paradigms, not on a team. The reference was a topical one, meant to bridge the gap between esoteric possession and modern analogues. That it triggers so much proves the point.

I think, for me, it triggered my fatigue with political polarization .. you could have made the same point - much more clearly - by invoking how mass media in the modern age (regardless of political orientation) can (demonically) take ideological messaging and infect their audience with it .. causing them to become ideological zombies, perfectly possessed by their media masters. Your point got lost in the invective. I do agree with your analogy though.

Do you think Keith will kick Whitley off of DMDN for appearing on Heather's show?

I don't think so.  Because Whitley is always available to talk about his ass play with aliens.  And his dead wife.  so never any chance of dead air for lack of a guest.  It's when hosts quit or flee that is a prob for KR.

I'm probably to the right of you but I like some people on this site despite their ideology. Besides "libtard" is not an accurate description of many on the left.  Many are anything but liberal. Personally I like to use leftard but I save it for the politics threads. ;)

Yes - I have great friends on 'both sides' .. We don't call each other names (cuckservative, libtard) - except in jest. I think the big issue is with what was usually considered the 'fringe' taking over the messaging of both the left and right - where any sort of compromise is impossible with anyone who even slightly disagrees with you.

Quote from: SciFiAuthor on May 17, 2018, 11:59:45 PMNo shit, that was probably the first Bigfoot interview I've listened to seriously in 15 years. Great guest, and Dave is excellent at interviewing.
I can tell that he likes to construct outlines & then work off them.  Very disciplined.

Right, the extremes have taken over and nary the 'twain shall meet.   :-\

I can tell.  What does come thru is that you prepare outlines.  That's how you keep things to time & topic.  As you proceed, I can visualize a distant view of your outline & your finger on it.  Very disciplined approach that keeps the show from spending too long on some distraction & giving short shrift to the main thrust.

What this tells me is that you're not a "natural".  You had to work a lot at your craft.  I appreciate that very much.  It also means you're not self-indulgent at it, the way "naturals" tend to get.

That fact should be reason enough alone for Heather get her shit together before it's too late.

Better to be Girl Noory than Girl Falkie.

She's already Girl Falkie. She'll start begging online soon.

Hey, everyone, I need help. The last time I was here this thread had around 2800 pages. Now it's at level 3404 and it's just impossible to catch up.

Please, is there any possibility of a summary of the last few days, at least since when Heather got back on the radio? On which network did she appear on, was her show cringeworthy or good? Is there any more interesting drama surrounding the whole thing?

Thank you in advance.

Any sort of GabCast to summarize the whole thing?

Drama is the air we breathe.
Heather is the horse we beat.
Hail Liberace.
The end.
:D

I think the latest and most complete summary would be what's her name, oh yea Heather picking up phones and yelling "can you hear me now".

Wow, I just realized Dave Schrader is the new host of MITD? This is awesome, I loved him on Darkness Radio and occasionally listen to Beyond the Darkness. Wow, I missed such big news!

edit - are there free archives of Heather's show so far so I could listen to her when I wish to torture myself? ;)
