Raybould says Trudeau is a Hoser...

Hopefully the thread title makes it clear that this is Canadian politics... A couple of the quotes from the other thread below to get it started...

Maybe deserves its own thread? These mobsters politicians never seem to learn. Don't conduct "business" on the telephone or computer but only via cut-out men and face-to-face, ideally in a place like a pool or sauna where people are wearing even limited clothes and where water/steam would interfere with recording equipment.

I was considering starting a thread for this. I will be honest- I am very unhappy to see that there was a tape that came out at this time. It is too early.

I have been watching this and thinking that it might present an opportunity to rid the country of the Liberal party for a few years (they would be back just as they were after their last scandal.) Most of the popularity of the party was based on Trudeau (probably more than the stupid policies.) People left their homes last election to elect Justin- not unrestricted immigration and never ending debt.

This scandal has caused his brand to suffer. But I have been watching and I kept wondering why she was holding on and wanting to remain a Liberal. With the release of this tape, I think I finally have my answer. It is her path direct to the prime minister's office. And she will get it, if it plays out as I'm starting to think it will.

She has now made it almost certain that they will lose their leader in the coming weeks. An election is planned for October. This will leave very little time for that party to elect a new leader- and who better to elect than the woman who has been in the news as a shining example of incorruptibility for a party that is suffering corruption charges? Who better than the woman who has been making news for the last 6 months and who most Canadian's are familiar with? Most politicians don't have any personal morals- they may not like her- but they will recognize that their only hope of building up that nice gold plated pension for holding their office through another election is to crown her leader.

And while the Liberals are poised to lose the election if it were held tomorrow- it will give her 6 months. She will tell us that she risked her career because she is a woman of principals. She will tell us that she remained in the Liberal party because she believes in their "Canadian" morals and it was only "one bad egg"- and she got rid of him. And the Canadian public will be happy to rally around our first (elected) female prime minister.*

And this country will slide further into debt with open boarders and a dim economic future. I hope I'm wrong. But I'm starting to read their playbook.

*Look up Kim Campbell if you want. But she was not elected to the office.

In the U.S. the Dems have a Justin Trudeau in the making in clueless dilletante Beto O'Rourke; a whole bunch of females, one of whom has the added advantage of being black and another who is a Cherokee princess; a geriatric communist who has never held a job outside of elected office and was kicked out of a Kibutz for being lazy and an ex Vice President who is equally long in the tooth and creeps out females young and old by getting all up close and touchy-feely and sniffing their hair.  No wonder they're so optimistic about 2020.

I've been following this story and it definitely merits a separate thread.

I need to ask you as a Canadian that if the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are called in to investigate will they be hampered at all by having to get around Ottawa on horseback?  Asking for my cousin Ralphy

I'm actually a little surprised that they have not started an investigation yet. But, I would suppose that the gate to their fort may be snowed in under a large drift and their snowshoes broken...

It could be that they are waiting on the ethics commissionaire to complete his own investigation before opening their own- or it could be that Michelle Obama's aid already called them and instructed them to drop it... I just don't know yet.

*Rumour now is that Raybould is set to be ejected from the Liberal party on Monday. I think they would be slitting their own throats just before an election if they go through with it...

Uncle Duke

Trudeau's mom enjoyed getting hosed.  There are no coincidences.

Seems to me that booting her out of the party would be the last thing the Libs would be considering.  Not only would it be seen as her being punished for her honesty and integrity but it could easily provoke an indian uprising.  Then again, nobody has ever lost the farm betting against Liberals doing dumb things.

It would really show the moral fiber of the party- one who wants the whistle blower legislation (unless, or course, somebody is blowing the whistle on them.) "CBC News has learned that MPs will discuss expelling the two women when they return to Parliament from their ridings next week."

""I've come to the conclusion that they both have lost any right to be a part of this team," Quebec MP Alexandra Mendès wrote in an email. She said serving in a party caucus requires "loyalty and team spirit."  Basically, if you can't back the team even when they are doing something illegal at the highest levels, you should be forced to quit the Liberal party.

I cannot tell you how much I hope they show their true colours and expel the two MP's. I think it might serve as a wake up call to Canadians still believing that the Liberals are the "moral" party. When MP Francis Drouin says ""I mean, any member who wants to stay part of the caucus has to say that they support the prime minister and, obviously, they support the Liberal agenda." you really have to laugh. Yes, an MP should have to "support the Liberal agenda" at all costs regardless of the illegal means to get it done. She just was not enough of a team player to be a good Liberal party member.

Fair take?   I watched some of Trudeau's presser and what I saw was a lot of tap dancing around the hard questions, subject changing and chin jutting arrogance.  When a reporter asked about the erosion of trust in his government, he slipped the punch by ignoring the clear meaning and intent of her question and went on about distrust between officers of his government and Raybould.  He acted like he had no idea of what was happening as events unfolded and took zero responsibility.  How arms-length of him.

With both Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott turfed from the Liberal caucus . . . . what would stop JWR from telling the whole story?
The story that Jane Philpott mentioned that wasn't complete?

Narcissistic Personality Disorder . . . . Justin Trudeau.

Yup, and Trudeau's no doubt depending on the wheels of justice grinding slowly to get him past the immediate crisis and thru the Oct election.

What puzzles me is what Trudeau thinks he has to gain by kicking both women out of the Liberal caucus.  If I understand the situation correctly, both women are bound by what amounts to a gag order for a period of time after leaving government.  I assume that pertains to public statements but not  testimony in response to official investigative inquiry.  Who in their right mind would want to further piss off these two already alienated women who would be principal parties to any investigation?   Maybe the idea is to brand them as unreliable and treacherous turncoats which might have some influence over the party faithful but certainly not impartial career investigators.  Hold on. Never mind--that's what I used to think.  Even so, it seems like an unwise move to me especially if Philpot is holding back something damaging as suspected, but, desperation is the mother of all sorts of foolishness.

Pure no.  A puppet to some degree but mostly just another politician with narcissistic personality disorder as AofC correctly points out.

The socialist manboy will loose the next election to the Conservatives. That's a fact JACK! The only reason the socialist twat was ever elected was on his promise to legalize the demon weed!!  Ohhh look how it's backfired on all these cunts who don't deserve to eat my shit. At this point, Andrew Scheer could shoot children in the street and I'd still vote for em'

Funny you should mention that. Last week- while on "vacation" I was at a dinner with a number of people from the Montreal / Toronto areas. These are not your typical conservative voters- but they were all saying that Trudeau has committed political suicide. I was stunned to hear so many Liberals saying that they would be voting conservative next election.

Prior to this, I was wondering if it was just my "western bias" that caused me to think that he was toast next election- but I really don't think that is the case. I think the boy wonder drama teacher may have finally shown his true colours and people finally are paying attention.

I just don't think he will. He could import known terrorists and compare them to the Italian immigrants of the past without consequence. He could call for open boarders and demand that we change the fabric of Canadian society- and he would have skated into another majority next election. But the "feminist facade" is finally fading.

I'm hoping they delay the investigation until July or August. That should pretty much insure that the Liberal party will be completely rudderless just in time for the election with the investigation still fresh in everybody's minds. Still too early for our short attention span.

Have been a 'western separatist' since the Lester B days . . . nowadays, even more so.
Manitoba west with the Yukon & Territories would be a very viable country . . . . eastern seaport with Churchill for access to European markets - now open for more months with global warming. Pacific seaports complete the picture.
We would have the food and fuel to survive, no transfer payments to parasitic Quebec . . . .
Ontario and Quebec need 'the west' more than we need them. Folks tend to forget that fact.
With Jason Kenny's threat to shut down transfer payments and balloon the carbon tax, this may be the catalyst to make the changes this country needs.
That 'piece of shit' that resides in Ottawa now may be the other catalyst . . . .

It's going to be interesting to see what happens now that he is in with quite an overwhelming majority. Truth be told, I was dancing on the edge of being a separatist when I was quite young. Things got a little better- but this economic downturn has really hurt a lot of people- and sending the money out east is starting to be a joke while the debt runs up, property values plummet, unemployment spirals out of control and those of us still working (in any sector but the public sector) face wage roll backs.

I wouldn't say that I'm serious about separatism yet, and even the really conservative people who I know (most friends and family) are not really talking about it seriously yet. I suppose it would only take a good leader to stir things up- but there is nothing really organized yet. Just some minor rumblings.

But that could change quite quickly if Kenny proves to be unable to turn things around- and putting that much faith in any politician is usually not a good idea. It could be interesting to observe the next few years.
