Well, first off, I used to believe there was a good possibility there were ghosts, witches, alien visitations, big foot / sasquatch / yeti, etc.  I have to admit I never believed in demons, angels, psychic powers, or the ability to see into the future.

Guess where I learned it was all baloney?  The Art Bell Coast to Coast AM show.  The guests were either not credible obvious hoaxers, or the stories from the more credible guests were completely full of holes.  It those were the best advocates to be found, then it was all BS.  But I get it - people want to believe.  Great, have a blast.

Second, I've seen UFOs myself.  Twice.  Two together, and one upclose.  Neither time could they possibly have been mistaken weather balloons or any of the rest of the things skeptics say.  It's just that I believe they were experimental military craft, not from some other planet and flown by aliens.  Occam's Razor.  Other unexplained phenomena is just that, unexplained, and could have any number of explanations.  So what?

So that's strike one and two on your theory.  Care to go for strike three?

I can relate to that. Sadly many guests on coast to coast are indeed trying to make money or even worse are paid disinfo agents.

It is sad that all the hoaxers out there ruin it for people to the point where they get so sick of being lied to that their mind sort of closes up to certain topics.

I feel only 1-3% of these things are real however that small percentage is so infinitely fascinating that it is worth it to me, to search through all the heaping amounts of bullcrap.

I also had a similar experience where i seen a craft that very well could have been military aircraft except for the fact that it seemed to be able to read my mind and do some impossible turns and acceleration, at least impossible for something you normally see in the sky.

If that type of technology exists then also the technology to clone and manufacture "fake aliens" also exists which makes things even harder.

I come from more of the school and the reason this technology is advancing so quickly is because there are literally demi-gods up there handing us this technology occasionally..

But does your belief stop the cactus thorns even if you are not afraid of them? I accidentally kicked a cactus a few years back walking around barefoot in the yard and I thought I got the thorn out. Then it became like looking infected and hurt but, oh well. A month or so later on the other side of my toe I had an annoying bump. Investigating it- it was the thorn and was able to extract it, but it was sort of sealed over. But it moved from one side of my toe to come out the other!

Hell no, this is a problem I sometimes have with some of my friends. They are literally too open minded to the point of thinking we can actually morph reality in front of us.

We obviously have to play by the laws of physics. Perhaps these rules can be broken or at least bent given the right circumstances or perhaps what is actually truly possible isn't so set in stone.

Connie Willis in that slot would be better than George.

She has a charming southern accent and actually goes on Bigfoot hunts.

Her genuine enthusiasm is much better than Corporate George.

I'm not saying she is gods gift to radio or anything but it would be a fresh take on things.

It would be good seeing a woman in there as well go feminism

Please name names.

I would but they are acquaintances of mine and I don't want to speak for them but I have heard from 3-4 podcasters, all of which had a similar experience of Keiths really awful personality. I am included in there as well although I wouldn't attempt to say I'm talented.

Art has had to warn him about his behavior several times and even completely fired Keith at one point because of the way Keith talks to people.

I am glad at least Art recognizes the problem but I wish he would take a harder stance and put someone in that role who can actually work with other humans.

You must be stoned. Linda does one show a month. On the last Thursday. Been that way for about as long as I can remember.

William Cooper stated the Illuminati were controlled by alien races that signed a secret treaty with Eisenhower, and then later chsnged his story. Who is the disinformation agent?

What do my personal habits have to do with it? We are talking about Coast so keep your fingers out of my stash.

I can at least say Cooper talking about aliens is far more entertaining than Linda's "forgone conclusions".

Example(s)?That's interesting.  Ordinarily late night would be where you'd stick your weakest.  I do find most of the earlier-hours shows on DMDN better than MITD.  Maybe the problem is not the time slot, not the legacy that it's "Art Bell's show", but the total hours a week -- or maybe the number of co-hosts, her working solo while the better DMDN shows tend to be panel-hosted.

I've written here about how Jason Jarvis took over his mother Judy's show when she sickened & then died, after he'd been her producer.  He actually lasted a few yrs. as m.c.

Then again, who'd've thought that after Steve Allen quit, Tonight would go on so long?

As far as money examples - taking donations for billboards and charging 5$ a month for archives. I am sorry but accepting peoples moneys for those archives when there are so many good free programs just isn't a realistic business plan and only increases the negativity surrounding the network.

Heather would do just fine if she wasn't marketed as Art's replacement and wasn't charging money for archives. It feels like a bait and switch thing just like Sirius. It hurts Heather more than anyone else.

As far as the talent issue well Keith treated many hosts like complete shit just for asking to be on his fledgling network. A case of overestimating ones own negotiating power.

Then Heather Wade, who has no broadcasting credentials gets put right there on the Iron Throne. How about not turning away legitimate talent and not doing special favors for attractive females?

I've already got an audio recording shouting out to bellgab from one of the most popular paranormal radio hosts out there.

So that is one down and still many to go.

I highly encourage others to reach out. Remember it only takes about 15 seconds to do a recording.

Hey, just saw your suggestions...so,here goes:

1. Yep, I always kinda figured that.
2. Thanks for the compliments. I did have fun, regardless of all the snark coming from the co-host.

'Bellahaven on the Bellgabathon'? I think not. But not to worry, if the Bellgabathon' ever happens there will no doubt be lots of other people, soundboards and bathroom humor to laugh at.

I have a similar story.

Any interest in forming a support group for those who have experienced passive aggressive Co-Hosts?

Great News! First in gets first choice so 11:30PM EST is yours.

cool,

Wolfman Mike and I are looking forward to our musical journey.

Radio legend Wolfman Jack may show up in spirit form as well. That would be a great addition to this eventful affair.

Yeah sounds great.

Took quite a bit of sound checking and experimentation but all issues have been fixed.

This Saturday at a special early time at 1pm pst 4 pm est

QuoteHe wrote the book "Your Thoughts Are Not Your Own: Mind control, mass manipulation and perception management"

which states:

Mind Control is a documented fact. The control of the actions and emotions of an unsuspecting victim has been a reality since at least the 1950's.Drawing on declassified documents, interviews with the doctors' involved, scientific papers and mainstream media reports, Your Thoughts Are Not Your Own shows the origins, objectives and architects of mind control. Your Thoughts Are Not Your Own Volume One details the facts and disclosed evidence of mind control programmes and experimentation performed by governments and government agencies across the world. BLUEBIRD, ARTICHOKE, MK ULTRA, The Tavistock Institute, L.S.D., hypnosis, trauma, drug experimentation, Manchurian candidates, mind control victims, the use of children in mind control, school shootings, psychotronic devices, microwave weaponry, synthetic telepathy, the Phoenix Program and serial killers are all examined and a chilling picture is painted of the lengths that those in power will go to in order to achieve total control of the mind.

I have some good news,

Wolfman has replied to me and has agreed to join me during my half hour as well as his co-host Darrin who is also a paranormal enthusiast. So all three of my hosting slots are now filled.

It will be End of Days Radio meets Monster Castle Paranormal in a quest to raise funds to keep Bellgab alive and kicking.

At this point we are looking at schedules and planning out our segment.

Linda Moulton Howe is a disinformation agent and was called out by William Cooper so many years ago. The fact that she is still boring people to death with her faux "UFO research" is hilarious.

To be fair Bill did say that Linda probably didn't know she was being used. When your dealing with disinfo it makes your head spin and that is what it is supposed to do.

In any case a weekly segment of Linda just shows lazy booking.

Yes! This is so it!  :)

Who else would benefit by Art being off the air?!  :D

its possible, however I see Noory more as a corporate shill yes man who will cling to every opportunity in order to feed his ongoing lust for female callers. Noory needs to go asap and be replaced by John B Wells who is the true successor to Art.

Art obviously made a lot of enemies broadcasting for so long. Especially covering fringe topics. The Heavens Gate thing and the fake Filipino news thing obviously hit him hard as did the death of his wife. Whoever was "stalking" Art was obviously the same type of person who would try to frame him. There were so many court cases too and there is a new one. That stuff all adds up. Next thing you know Heather Wade is the voice in the night.

I don't approve of picking on Heather however the "Dark Matter Network" accepted peoples money and turned down legitimate talent that would help grow the network. Its a case of both Art and Keith thinking they know what they are doing when in reality they find themselves ill equipped to handle the production and management staff they really need to pull this operation off.

I don't know much about Heather but it probably would have been better to just give Heather a show on the Network instead of having her be some kind of successor to Art. It is how they marketed her as Arts successor that has stifled her career due to the backlash of Art Bells hardcore fanbase. She simply couldn't live up to peoples expectations. Your talking about stepping into the shoes of a legend, its not exactly easy filling airtime and if she had proper guidance she would have built a show that hid her weaknesses. Its kind of sad to see what has happened here, my own personal reasons of having a negative experience with the DMN's Keith Rowland and then feeling let down by Arts return.

I do wish Art would give us one more year of steady broadcasting.

Nice!  What the uninitiated don't appreciate is that Robert E. Howard basically created the "Sword & Sorcery" genre, and furthermore that part of what made it compelling was the whole edgy occult vibe that permeated it.  Maybe sometime you can do a show on early horror/occult/fantasy writings of he and his peers (e.g. Clark Ashton Smith) and those who he later influenced (e.g. like everyone who wrote fantasy in the twentieth century).   8)

Now back to the BellGab-athon, at Megadeth levels!

Sure, I can also touch on it during my 30 minutes as well. That is a lot of time and I can briefly touch on it between fending off Wolfman, that is if he agrees.

I also plan on talking about flat earth during my time since Wolfman will hopefully be there. That should create lots of heat due to its pure idiocy.

Off-topic:  That's how I feel about Conan.  Those lame 80's movies so missed what made the books great.

Back on-topic:  If Conan were here, he'd totally support BellGabathon.

I collect Conan comics. Find them in the bargain bin all the time, people don't even realize their rarity and value.

Nothing like browsing through some Hyborea epics while stoned and listening to Megadeth

Daniel, at risk of exposing my creeping Rooneyism* I will say that 30 years ago the standards were as such that folks like Noory, Wade and Church wouldn't have lasted 2 weeks in a long form radio show. Noory came in as a wonky DJ and rose via the Peter Principle.  Church would have remained a sports reporter. Wade might have made ads for concert events and such.

Looking up to someone who can conduct an interview look to the folks at 60 minutes, like Mike Wallace. I would suspect he was one of Art's role models. And Wallace came into TV as a former radio guy.

BTW, this explains why so many here now gravitate to George Knapp. Hes got the experience of a real journalist, because he is.

*60 minutes curmedgeon - look up Andy Rooney on youtube and you'll see where we are all headed after middle age.

I can explain that, Knapp has passion for what he is talking about. I read his book about Skinwalker Ranch, when you have that passion it really shows through the airwaves because you aren't phoning it in so to speak.

I also find George to be very passive aggressive to some people then gets all hot and bothered by female callers and suddenly becomes interested, he will also roll out the red carpet for certain guests that got over during Arts time in order to try to keep the core fanbase.

The Dark Matter Network had potential but Art guaranteed its awfulness by putting that Keith Rowland in charge who lost out on a lot of good shows due to his pickiness and alienating of good hosts. Keith literally burnt every bridge in his bad handling of talent and dangling of carrot sticks.

Ah, the FF.

What is sad is that after those shitty movies. Mainstream folk will never get to know the magic of the Fantastic Four and what makes that series so special. I was particularly bummed about waiting an entire movie to see Galactus and only seeing a vague shape at the end. That franchise has got to be dead in the water by now but Fox keeps pumping out shit to keep the rights to the characters.

I did really enjoy the 90's cartoon and that was when I actually started liking the FF, they redid all the classic stories and did a pretty good job with Stan Lee often appearing at the beginning.

How about a gameshow to make things more fun and interactive? This would break the pace and make the whole thing better in my humble opinion anyway

-Who knows the most about Bellgab.

A trivia game show about bellgab where 3 notable members are asked questions about MV and Bellgab history, the winner gets crowned the most hardcore Bellgabber of all time. That would be a pretty notable accomplishment and the winner would have "street cred" on here pretty much forever.

April 15th at 8PM EST is what we are planning as a tentative day / time.  If that is an issue you've got 24 hours to suggest a different day before it's settled.

We need to lock down all the people that will be involved as a host during the live segments. Just because I suggested someone doesn't mean it's set in stone.  If you'd like to be a moderator on a discussion or do a 30 minute mini GabCast during this lock in your co hosts and jaz and I will mute our mics and give you the floor and will bring in callers for you too.

We will host the show on ufoship.com's stream.

hmm a little later like 2 hours ahead would work better for me however if this is going to be a 6 hour thing it doesn't matter

I'll be sure not to schedule a show that day.

A suggestion: 'When I want real chat I go to BellGab.com and I always Praise MV!'

that is a good idea, maybe something like
