Trump wanted that.

I think you could sell tickets to that show. ;D
Yeah, but he would, likely, be unprepared. There is a reason why lawyers make a big percentage of our politicians. There is a big difference between building things, running a business, or working and even in law (and even then businessmen use lawyers) and being an attorney, especially trial. Attorneys are trained, like others used to be but due to Dewey etc not much different than others; more in a method or argument. Socratic Method (sometimes other terms used for it) so your lecturer forces you to "put up or shut up" and also trained to learn HOW to argue on positions/clients etc that you don't believe. So you have to be ready and also be able to dissemble, almost  ;), and change lines-of-attack etc. There are different views on this. I actually think a good way of thinking and learning. When ALSO based in some morals and values. When not though it is horrible but one can make much money.

I didn't bother to watch because what would the point be? But from the polls I'm looking at online, looks like Trump edged her.

I did wait for two things from Trump that never happened.

After Hillary discussed her Dad's business, I kept waiting for Trump to point out that it very might not be
possible for an American business person to even have such a business or opportunity like that any more.
Pretty tough to be in textiles here in this day an age - so what happens to family like that in this day and age?

Also kept waiting for Trumps out reach to African Americans - "Vote for me.  What the hell do you have to lose?"
He should have worked that in right of the bat instead of the Law and Order spiel.

Wow. Weird. I must be deplorable because I thought she won or at least broke even. I guess the far-left didn't like?

I'm looking at polls online and he won almost all of them around 55%

On businesses, it's known as creative destruction.

I agree, Pi.  I expected much more from him.  But like I said.  He can review this debate to prepare for the next one.  I think he will do far better.

Well, to make the changes he needs to, he'd first have to acknowledge the problems he had and then somehow change his approach. Based on what we know of Trump, I think he might instead decide that the problem was that he wasn't rough enough on her.

Which means that next time, no more Mr. Nice Guy. That would mean a heckuva Round 2.

Is this the 400 pound hacker Trump talked about in the debate?

Not sure who won but I think we need to wait awhile. I'm assuming that many voted early when Trump took her down but good. We need to see how everyone else votes who got a chance to see the entire debate.

Lt.Uhura

Trump's cold is kind of karma for Rush, Drudge, et all for obsessing that Hillary would keel over in coughing fit.  (It seems Rush devoted an entire show to that theme!) It's sad that this attitude is what our presidential election has come to.  How about cheering on your candidate, hoping they'll demonstrate worthiness to lead our country? smh.

Trump has people that are energized and will take the effort to answer an online poll.

Clinton has a base that will vote for her no matter what but they are not energized. MediaMatters will send people to the online polls to vote in them, but the normal person is not going to seek them out.

I think Trump won overall (just barely) but she won a moral victory by not having to answer tough questions. And not falling over. Example: 'Birtherism' isn't a relevant topic, 1973 lawsuit. Huh? Lester Holt seemed more invested in Trump answering questions about the birther issue than Hillary answering for the email scandal. That annoys me. If anyone should be held to account it's her. She's a former Secretary of State. I guess that would be sexist though. Lester didn't seem to think Benghazi was important? If I were Trump, I'd hammer her on emais and lack of achievement while serving as Secretary.

there are all kinds of ideas for destruction in the leftist idealists. Some physical, but the more powerful, are not. Gramsci  Hillary, and etc. The militant Obama, BLMs. is long term often less effective.

Hilary couldn't even win Michael Moore over and Trump didn't even do that good tonight

This is kind of what I expected and why I didn't watch. If she managed to walk out under her power the MSM was going to proclaim it a glorious victory for her. If she died on stage someone would text me.  ;D So why watch?

Just going through the reactions and analytics now. That's where the real story is.

Creative destruction is a term from economist Joseph Schumpeter.  His most famous book is "Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy" published in 1942 a defense of free enterprise written, as you can see, shortly after the end of the Great Depression.

Funny.  Each of the polls I am seeing show Trump as winning.  Do you have any nutless Shillery polls saying that she won?

Well online polls don't mean anything but I really don't see how NBC Nightly news
is a bastion of "Trumptardism"

From wiki:
The book also introduced the term 'creative destruction' to describe innovative entry by entrepreneurs was the force that sustained long-term economic growth, even as it destroyed the value of established companies that enjoyed some degree of monopoly power. Because of the significant barriers to entry that monopolies enjoyed, new entrants would have to be radically different: ensuring fundamental improvement was achieved, not a mere difference of packaging. The threat of market entry would keep monopolists and oligopolists' disciplined and competitive, ensuring they invest their profits in new products and ideas. Schumpeter believed that it was this innovative quality that made capitalism the best economic system.[7]
