Here's Whitley's appearance on Spooky Southcoast. I was young and naive.

He has claimed it, which you would know if you'd kept up with his writings over the years.

That can happen both by analogy and metaphor.

So you say, without any proof.

What part?  Victor?

Ninety-nine percent of the people on Art's show was full of shit.

Why should I waste my time proving something that everyone knows?

Or, at least be self-aware enough to know.

Because not everyone "knows" what you 'believe', you arrogant naysayer.

Uh huh, not on your wavelength = not self-aware?

Fuck that.

I flipped on "Somewhere in Time" last Saturday night.  This dude was completely maxed out on excrement.

Art Bell - Somewhere In Time
GUESTS
Walter Semkiw

Art Bell: Somewhere in Time returned to 2/24/99 when Dr. Walter Semkiw discussed reincarnation and spirit guides.

I still have some reserve respect for him as a writer up to and including Communion. What's come since...meh...but then again I haven't followed him as closely since then either.

Well sure, that's the point of having them on in the first place, imo... :o

Oh he's turned out some good stuff, no real loss of talent there.

Other than the scientists, none of them never offered any proof of anything.  Most of it was just made up BS, and the rest was opinion and speculation.

One thing though, listening to all those charlatans - certainly including Weeber - I'm convinced it's all crap, so thank Art for that.

Nope there was hard data presented, believe it or leave it - Hoaxie's photo analysis, Phoenix lights, Even Alexander, Steven Greer, etc.

I'm not.

I thank him for that too.

But I will say a FAR larger portion is utter nonsense and hucksterism.

Ya. just have to look for the nuggets.

... Hoaxie's photo analysis...

You mean the Face On Mars that wasn't?  That he built his whole career around?  Or the later insanity, claims like edges on photos of the moon, that were actually ''glass buildings''?

I'm with Art on this one:  ''all I see are rocks''

Bart Ell

The Goatse picture is Whitley after a date with an alien.
It's in his last book.

It happens to too many minds, doesn't it: pride degrades morality and turns honest, imaginative people into charlatans hawking fiction as truth (too many Art guests to list).

I can see the life Hoagland never dared to lead -- as an author of popular and intentional science fiction.

I did read 'Communion' but I though it sucked.  I kept getting the feeling that 'Communion' was written over a weekend and sent to the printer's without any editing.

If that is an example of Strieber's work.... He's as bad a writer as he is a lying sack of shit.

You're hanging you hat on Hoaggie, Alexander, and Greer?

Dude!  Go out and fine a girl.

I am still trying to see the 60 mile high glass structures on the Moon....

Hmm...forgive me but your review is lacking detail and sounds a tad personal. Did he steal your girlfriend or something?

Not really.  This was long before I ever heard of Art Bell.  It was the first I'd heard of Strieber.

The movie was tedious as well.

Go!

I'm listing a few who brought some actual proofs, deny them or not.

If you haven't read Alexander's book you really have little more to say here, naysayer.

The movie was hardly "tedious" nor was the book.

Clearly your own pre-loaded biases are the most evident. :(
