So this would be part of the enemy troop surge from C2C intent on ruining our heaven?

This has been a great show.  I fully intend to call in tommorow as I have a few good questions primed.  Some directly directed at Art which I think many would love to hear.  Night everyone!

Hasta luego!

Scares me.  I'll stick with Win7.

Leo LaPorte has talked about the *mandatory* updates.  Not good.

Twit.tv rocks.

Love Ham Nation!

Topics are great, guest is good, Art's asking cool questions and being his enthusiastic and charming self.  It's just so much friggin fun to hear great stuff like this again.

Refreshing to hear credible subject matter experts with scientific backgrounds instead of the bloggers wearing tin-foil hats promoting their books and Noory the yes man nodding his head in agreement.

I read THE QUICKENING and was disgusted. Art Bell came across as a really cranky right wing conservative dude who didn't actually believe in many of the subjects on his show. I particularly remember him putting down gays, and saying that people should never meditate because it would leave an opening for demonic possession. I kid you not. Don't read this book if you love Art Bell because it was very disappointing to find out what he is really like.

They good thing about those Y2K books is it got people into a preparedness mindset. The govt didn't promote this until after 9-11. Mind you I'm not a militia/prepper but being self-sufficient with 72 hrs of food, water, shelter and fuel is something the most of the general population isn't ready for.

I got AOT hardcover with the dustjacket for under $7 on ePay. I had heard mixed reviews on Quickening.

Its a good read.

So I've heard.  Looking forward to reading it.  Since it was published 20 years ago, I would be nice  to see a volume 2 to come out. Lots of water under the bridge for him since Ramona passed.

Has anybody read Art's book, "The Art of Talk"?  Just bought it.

Chasing tornados in a Volkswagen!! Haha awesome

One of the things ham radio operators do. Look for a "Skywarn class" taught by the National Weather Service in your area to learn more.
