One potential casualty of the furious debate over statuary is Seattle's statue of Lenin.

Now the Fremont neighborhood where it stands is a funky place; it's right around the corner from a giant light-up rocket ship many times taller.  There's also a giant troll clutching a Volkswagen Beetle under a bridge nearby.  When they got it, most people shook their heads as the intent was clearly tongue-in-cheek, but it seems subtlety is scarce as hen's teeth these days.  You could just as easily see it as cold-war booty, like the quadriga on St. Mark's in Venice, or the stuff Napoleon plundered from Italy like the Apollo Belvedere.

But of course. It's the famous Pilosi doctrine. You have to pass it in order to find out what's in it. We have to elect them to find out what they're going to do. No thanks, we already know what they want.

They do have an agenda. Their lemming followers have no clue what it is. But it is kept in the bowels along with their other wonderful plans. Same place they kept Obamacare, Affordable Healthcare Act, path to single payer government controlled healthcare, for the last half a century.

In an astonishing illustration of what a great leader Reagan was and was to become, give this a listen. It's his assessment of socialized medicine (Obamacare for the lemmings), 50 years before the DemoKKKRats government health insurance scam was passed. He may as well have delivered this speach yesterday. Nothing has changed with the simple minded predictability of the left. It's truly Nostradamian.

It of course explains why The USA is 11 out of 11 on all the metrics of health care among the top 11 western nations (Most of which have 'socialised' medical care). VFM (lowest) cost per patient, (Most expensive), Preventative health plans (Virtually non existent), Affordability for all irrespective of what your job is, how old you are, previous conditions (Kidding right?), Been like that for decades, well before Obama. Insurance companies decide, and that's how it is...Go on, who do you think the insurance companies sponsor in Congress and the Senate? Might it be politicians who have free healthcare? Might be..  ;)

Bannon might protest. He's a self confessed Leninist.  ;D

The only fair thing to do is to ban all monuments/statues/displays of any kind on public property because there is sure to be a group of people who will see it as a symbol of oppression.  WTF?

Oh wait on now.... Trump was one of the principal advocates from about 2011 to oust Obama via the 'birther' movement. He said (with no proof) that he'd a detective in Hawaii looking into documents he could not believe.. Then, whatyaknow...Come inauguration Trump denies he even believed that!

"Trump's peccadillos" LOL..You're cute.. Threatening Venezuela with military action. Milking the applause to make him look good after inviting the widow of a killed SEAL to his inauguration get together in the house.
Threatening anyone and trying to destroy anyone who disagrees with him for any reason. Behaving like a petulant toddler each and every time the news reports some idiotic shit he's tweeted..Top tip. DON'T FUCKING TWEET!  Trump's peccadillos, might get us all killed. He's way out of his depth in a job he doesn't particularly like because it involves thinking. Something he's never really had to do except when it comes to scamming people.

Apples and oranges and your take on things which to respond to would only lead to another tedious  circular argument.  Your fear of Trump involving the U.K in a nuclear conflagration is noted so If I were you I wouldn't piss him off.

Yes it's the only thing to do. Educating the weak minded in the black community to grow up and get over the oppression they've never experienced that their great great ancestors endured almost 150 years ago is too much to ask. Even though every other human in history has ancestors who endured just the same.

Yep. Wouldn't want to educate and empower them, they might stop voting Demokkkrat. Gotta keep them locked in the bondage of leftwing hate.

One day they're going to realize who their slavemasters still are. One day a majority of them will truly wake up and realize they control their own destiny, not the scum of the left and the Demokkkrat party. The time is coming and we all know it. It's a race between freedom and independence vs the leftwing ignorance being promoted in our demockkrat raped education and media industries.

And one hears rumors of CL ads advertising to pay protestors at Trump, and other, events.
You know... Most of those ads that I have run have had an abysmally low response of actual, interested candidates.  Most attract all kinds of nasty responses with very few people willing to share their first and last name as well as address for me to send their "payment" to.

Good to know somebody is paying attention though.  ;D

His body language screams that he's miserable, and that makes me quite glad.

He is wasting his life, and everyone else's time, with this adventure, and it's time to pull the plug and let somebody else try out for the position.

I suppose the other option is to watch somebody who does not start demanding that the free speech of others be curtailed when it upsets him.  Sadly, those sources are getting damn hard to find.

As far as I know your free speech does not include the freedom to dump hot coffed on people, dumbass.  ::)

Juan

Pence has to wait past two years so that he can finish Trump's term and then two of his own. Pence will secure himself from impeachment by appointing Ted Cruz VP. Cruz is so hated in the senate that senators will vote to approve him to get him out of their chamber.

Before you so easily fall sway to pud's propaganda why don't you tell us specifically what your problem is with AJ? As far as I'm concerned the entire news industry is a flim flam and AJ is one of the people who exposes this. Are you really upset at the guy who pulls the curtain back or the people manipulating your life behind it. Which lies are these? Be specific...

The whole thing about collusion with the Russians is a lie.  The whole thing about Trump ''obstructing'' the FBI's investigation is a lie.  That's why it's disappeared from the daily headlines, without so much as a whimper.

It was all initially ginned up to cover up Hilary's illegal handling of classified emails;  to cover up Obama's foreign policy failure with Russia;  to cover up his  illegal use of FISA courts to spy on Trump, on his campaign, and on his transition team, to ''unmask'' the various individuals, and to leak it;  and to cover up Obama's other illegal abuses of power.  That Trump mishandled the smear job doesn't make any of it any less a lie.

Why don't you provide the list of crimes committed by individual, and which laws were broken.  For someone as invested in this as you are, considering it's quite a short list, and considerig the time you normally spend on this each day anyway, that shouldn't be too much to ask.  Please be specific.  I'm sure the board would be happy to review the list and comment on the relative severity of each.

I only care about the politician to the extent that whoever is elected should be given a fair chance...

That's true.  We even have a term for a newly elected president customarily given a chance to do what the voters elected him to do:  as you know, it's called ''the honeymoon period''.

But - every new president is tested by the opposition, and by our enemies abroad.  Trump has failed.  Quite miserably.  And allowed it to rage out of control.  It shows he isn't competent.

All during the campaign he had the spotlight on him as the most well known candidate in the group, the biggest personality, and of the contenders who had a chance to be nominated he was the person Media wanted Hilary to run against.  He used his spotlight to ruthlessly attack, lie about, and smear his fellow candidates.

Each of those candidates had support, so he was needlessly antagonizing the voters who supported them.  Many of the candidates were Senators or other holders of other high offices - people he would likely need down the road if he were to be elected, people who had other friends in the Senate.  He continues to attack members of his own party, including members of his own administration, regularly.  Doing this de facto shows him to be incompetent.

This is a person who has never had to report to anyone.  He managed to be a good businessman in a field (real estate) where asset values have grown dramatically, so he's made a lot of money.  He marries and divorces models - and between that, the money, and the display of ego and general obnoxious bluster, he's managed to attract the attention of media, who have had a symbiotic relationship with him over the years.

None of that prepared him to be president, or developed the skill set for the job.  Much of which is diplomacy and getting along with others (separation of powers requires consensus).  And boy does it show.  Yes, he's been attacked.  That he can't brush it aside, and that he can't provide leadership within his party is on him.

I care only about policy, legislation, direction.  If we've gotten what we can from him, he should go.

Oh wait on now.... Trump was one of the principal advocates from about 2011 to oust Obama via the 'birther' movement...

If the issue came up, then the American people ought to be given answers.  Obama was and is a complete mystery.  No one rembers him any of the places he claimed to have been until he showed up in Chicago.

The birth certificates we've seen so far have been obvious forgeries.  Why has he used so many Social Security numbers, when everyone else has one during their entire life?  Why was he given a tourist visa to Pakistan, when they were admitting no Americans?  Did he claim to be a foreign student on his college applications?  Did his mother change his citizenship to Indonesian?

If he was born to a foreign student and a 17 year old American, even if he were born here does that qualify as a ''natural born'' citizen?  A strong case can be made that it doesn't.

We are owed this information.  Withholding it makes it appear that something is being hidden.  For someone as insistent on Trump crimes there is no evidence for as you are, surely you can follow that?

First clue.  He has his head up Jorch Noory's ass.  It is disgusting how he sucks up to Noory. He focuses on controversial topics like 9/11 and Sandy Hook because it gets him noticed,  He exploits those tragedies to full effect when the conspiracy theories are nothing but bullshit.  I don't for one minute believe he seriously believes the stuff he is talking about.  It is a con. It is no wonder him and Noory are buddies.  Birds of a feather......

It's not just the ''extreme'' Muslims (as if there are non-extreme ones), it's the rest of them too.  Recall the Muhhammud cartoon bullshit.  They forbid images of any living thing, which is why their buildings and ''artwork'' is calligraphy and geometric patterns.

Just another reason why they are incompatible with the West and shouldn't be here.

True. I stand corrected. That is always why, supposedly, not sure if it happens with modern weaving and construction, that Persian carpets and those mosaic work will always have one defect in them. Purposely done because, to them, nothing can be perfect except Allah and his "prophet."
