Why would a woman's choice determine what is optimal and what is sub-optimal? Are poor women that choose to have children acting unethically?

I am nominally pro-choice because I see it pragmatically. It is not an issue that can be settled any other way than what we have now. But to justify it through the assumption that someone born in sub-optimal conditions has zero chance of ever doing anything so should be aborted (at the discretion of the mother or whoever decides what optimal is) is reprehensible.

Why pay? Though that has been done. Easier to force it. An not just at abortions or sterilization. Even into the 70's some States had laws or policies or "friendly" doctors for the State or family. Especially if poor, "minority," or retarded. But not limited to them. Heck, even a problem Kennedy kid got a "treatment!" And many a "problem" got treated at places like Chestnut Lodge. Haha. Yeah. Central planning and control has been going on for years.

In all honesty I don't know what to think of him and not trying to promote or sell his stuff (there are likely places for "free" or cheap used-book stores to find.) And his crime and associations (racist groups, etc.) So I say that caveat but still interesting stuff. And I always say that the speaker is not, necessarily, bad with the information. Or that people with motives etc aren't correct in some stuff. I like reading/listening to all types.

      I was bringing up the issue of having kids with a female friend of the family.  I spoke to her of my concern about mental issues occurring in the children should I desire to have some.  She said the child can be tested in the womb and if there appear to be any signs of a predisposition towards mental illness, that we could abort the baby and try again. My wife and I were taken aback by how casually she said this.  Is this how cheap life has become in our culture?  Just throw away one life and try again?  No thanks.  We didn't say anything to her about it because  that would have opened up a can of worms but it tarnished the respect that we had for her.

Sadly, you are 100% correct.  It's depressing.  I loved the world I was born into but I may die hating it.  At least the culture anyway.  I still love the beauty of the Earth.

There is still hope but? I've always been a TULIP kind of person (philosophical, religious not the flower) and reckoned it would go down. Not wanting it or even being a big church person but...logically, in a way.

If Jesus is coming, he better come soon because the shit is really starting to hit the fan.  I've heard preachers telling me oh he's coming,   the hour and day are near, but they've been saying that since he died.  I've grown pessimistic.
