For those of you that think Golden Earring was a one hit wonder with Radar Love, I think Twilight Zone would make great bumper...

A couple more tracks I wanted to get in before the big day!  Both side projects from the great John Mitchell (a neo-progressive rock artist).  He has an affinity for the '80s, but these were released in 2005 and 2015, respectively.  The melodies are sublime and other-worldly... great stuff.  Check out the guitar solo in the second track, yummy! (it was played by Nik Kershaw).

Here's a Spotify playlist I've made.  Not comprehensive, but a cohesive list of my favorites.

A cross between Metisse and Enigma.  Think it would be a great bumper music favorite.   ;)

I got started on Art late...Like when he was down to doing weekends on Coast, but I caught up on ustream, other outlets, but in so doing I catch Art's favorites as far as bumpers over and over again, but one song just annoys me to no end, so I'm here to vent - that fucking "Nothing But a Heartbreak" song...It's like some substandard wanna be Phil Spector/Motown song that Art extols but THE SONG SUCKS! For fellow Bellgabbers here that like it, I'm sorry, but it sucks ass. I don't really have any other gripes, tune-wise, except maybe The Moody Blues...And that "Phaedra" song is kind of shitty. Abba just rules, though! Hell yah Agnetha!

He must read this, because I complained about "Nothing but a heartbreak" and that "Phaedra" crap and he played both last night! PLAY MORE PINK FLOYD! ;)

Hmm really?  I was about to give up on this thread.  Seems like nothing's been played from here except old faves.  Someone let me know if I'm wrong and I'll post some more suggestions.

Can someone please help me find this song, I have had it in my head forever but have no idea what it is. I can't hear a single line of lyrics to search either.

2002-01-31 - Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell - Hollow Planets - Jan Lamprecht, 01:10:33 it played starting with a guy saying yeeeaaaahhh, followed by a few women singing with lots of echo behind them and a sick guitar and drum beat. Anyone know what this song is?

I don't know off the top of my head, but I'll be happy to look it up.

Cue to 2:25 or so for the bumper - I can dig up where this solo is on CD if Art is interested, it was from Yes' Union tour, I believe.
