I didn't quote a single bit of the Old Testament.  My referrals were all to the New Testament.  Start reading the Bible more rather than saying silly things that have no merit.  I'll be happy to debate you more when you've done your homework.  Ciao!

That's a warmed-over New Age take on Christianity.  I can assure you the God of the New Testament can become angry just as Jesus was angry at the temple. Jesus also called that same temple His Father's Temple.  Why would he call a synagogue his Father's Temple unless he was Jewish?  Why would he get angry there since it wasn't his religion? Also, you do know Revelations, right?  God gets pretty angry there!

I believe this is where your argument will fall apart.

It is not the same as Judaism but it is built on Judaism.  Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies and he is called the son of David, a Jew.  The traditional Jews of Jesus's day and today do not believe he is the fulfillment of the prophecies.  There lies the difference.

Of course there are differences.  Jesus is the fulfillment of the Jewish prophecies but you do remember the Transfiguration where Elijah and Moses came down from Heaven and appeared with Jesus?  Both were Jews of course as was Jesus. He was proud of his Jewish heritage but that did not mean he didn't have disagreements with the Pharisees and the like.  As I said, Judaism is the bedrock on which the Church was built. 2/3 of the Bible is the history, prophecies and writings of the Jews.  To deny that would be almost as bad as denying Christ.

Certainly by Pentecost and in Paul’s case when the scales were removed from his eyes. If not then, then sometime while he was off studying the prophecies to prove to himself that Christ was in fact the Messiah.

Paul and the Apostles were still Jewish.  I know you've heard of Messianic Jews.  They don't reject their Judaism (unless  a doctrine or law counters with Christian teaching) but have also embraced Christ.  Paul and the Apostles were the equivalent in their day.  They never stopped being Jews and they always referred to non-Jews as Gentiles.

I'd like it if it came on at 11 EST.  7-11 is the time slot taken up by my wife.

I think we may be misunderstanding her.  The Gospels were written about a Jew and most of the New Testament was written by Jewish people.  The exception might be Luke who may not have been Jewish. The books of the Tanakh are our old Testament so our faith clearly springs from Judaism.   She is basically right if she means that but she's wrong  if she means Christianity is Jewish.  I don't think she means that.
