Thanks.  I have those instructions and have been reading and pasting for almost two hours.  Every time it says the link is no good.   I will live. Thank you for responding. I'm giving up for now.  Hugs

Radio and Podcasts / iPhone archive help needed
September 29, 2015, 08:33:55 PM
Hi all.   I haven't been here in a while but am loving MITD. I got my first iPhone and can't figure out how to download the shows.  It was easy on the android.  Do I purchase an app?  If not where can I find the downloads on this crazy phone?  Other than this issue I am loving my iPhone 6s plus in rose gold.  Thanks all.  Hugs

Radio and Podcasts / Red Ice Creations - I've found it!
December 26, 2013, 12:07:42 PM
In case nobody has heard of him, this guy out of Sweden has an awesome radio podcast with amazing topics.  He is a great radio host, too.  You can listen to the first hour of his shows for free, but have to sign up as a member for the 2nd hour.  He puts out three new shows a week.  Check out Redicecreations.com.

I never thought I'd find an Art replacement, but I believe I have.  I strongly recommend.  Got sick of listening to the old shows that I've heard 100 times and needed something new.

Henrik Palmgren hosts guests from all over the world with topics we all love.  Commercial free to boot.   Check it out and let me know what you guys think!  (Or maybe you guys know about him and I'm a little slow?)

Radio and Podcasts / Re: New Art Bell torrent
December 04, 2013, 07:55:02 PM
I tried to download the torrent but it took my computer over 10 hours and was still uploading.  So I chickened out.  Isn't there a way to just download certain ones?

And where can I find shows to download onto my android?

I thought the Torrent wasn't up yet??

I am OUT of old art shows to find and listen to on Youtube.

Did anyone hear the Gordon Lightfoot interview back in 99?  So funny.

So where can I find some more old shows?

....I want another show where he had us all get out old watches and use our psychic collective minds to start them up again.
I swear, I had a watch from when I was a little girl, and I stared at that thing along with everyone else staring at their things, and that old watch hand moved 35 seconds.
Boy, was that cool.

Even though I want Art back, as much or more than most of you, I believe he is doing the right thing by not fighting.  He has a little girl.  He doesn't have that many years left, he needs to focus on the important things in life.  Giving his energy away to Noory and C2C would be a waste of that time.

But, if that is what he wanted to do, I'd fork it over.  I like your first idea, too.

No hard feelings, Onan.  Thanks for the welcome.  As I've said, you guys are mean here so it's to be expected. :)

Hi, Williedee!  I'm excited to start listening - I'm confused, can we start or are you working on it and it's not out yet?

Isn't it dangerous to listent to torents (viruses?)

I'm wondering, if you happen to come across the 10/6/95 show where a girl  (aka me) calls Art after an earthquake in Fairbanks, AK, can you somehow get me a copy of that?  i will be happy to reimburse you.

Thanks thanks thanks.

Well, I'm a new member and love this forum.  I'm so impressed with the whit and hilarity of you folks.

I wish I would have found this forum a long time ago, especially the Live Discussions when the Dark Matter shows were playing.  I stumbled on after the mighty He left the air.

So anyway, thanks for this place.  It helps to have a place to go during my grief.

And I'm still looking for 10/06/95 show - and will pay for it!

Thanks,

Booner (aka Shawna)

Brief Joy.  Now, Art's voice
gone.  Depression glooms Darkly.
Does it all Matter?

This place needs  a "like" button, there is some funny-ass shit to read around here.

So what did anus-face SAY last night on his first episode of C2C on sirius about the entire situation?

I did just go to youtube and look for last night's show, couldn't find it.  I don't want to listen, other than to know what sNoory said.

Radio and Podcasts / Re: technical reason, please?
November 12, 2013, 05:21:05 PM
Well, obviously the technical reason is Art didn't want to have George on after him!

I stand by my bet that chances aren't so good he will be back, but I'm sorry that I blamed Art.

Hi, Shayna.  I listened on my smartphone and I never had any trouble, ever, not once ever never.

Only Art knows why he bailed out.

I, personally, need to move on from this.   It's just depressing.   I was excited all summer for fall to start so I could listen to Art again.  But I had a stinking suspicion it wouldn't last.   Honestly, I thought he'd drop dead from lung cancer (I saw a picture of him smoking in his local paper).  I'm happy that wasn't  reason behind this sudden departure, but he did leave, and I think the chances of his returning are about as good as coming back from the dead.

I just don't know how he can show his face at all on facebook, his website, here, etc. and put the blame on Sirius and give out false hope that he might still come back.

I didn't know. It was Urban Fool that brought it up. I checked my Archive and I don't have that date.

OH, my apologies, then. Urban Fool, thank you so much!

True that (worth something).  The Art's Parts might be worth something, too; especially those purchased during "The Six Weeks."

I have an original "first thousand" autographed copy of "The Art of Talk" and the first year of "The Quickening" newsletters.

Only time I tried and got right through in the later 90's. Hoped to sound halfway coherent between Terence McKenna and Art and inadvertently talked over a comment Terence was starting to make. I still bury my face in my hands when I hear it back, but it was a thrill. I saw Terence speak live once as well. Big loss when he passed, and then years later a fire takes out his extensive library in storage that was about to get a permanent home at Esalen.  :(

Jazmunda - how did you know it was Oct 6?  It was!!  I just went online and the time matches, the location matches, everything.

So yes, if anyone out there has a copy of the October 6, 1995 Art Bell Show, Please let me know.  I will reimburse you for your time and energy.

Thank you so much for at leasting pinning down the date for me! You ROCK!

I couldn't guess the date.  It might be!

Made a new topic to reach out ...and read other stories of "that time" anyone talked to Art.  In remembrance, I guess.

Radio and Podcasts / That one time, when I talked to Art,
November 07, 2013, 08:39:40 PM
was in 1995, I lived in Fairbanks, AK and there was a pretty good earthquake.  My first thought (after the rumbling stopped) was to run to the radio and see if Art had opened up a line for someone from Fairbanks to call and talk about the quake.

Yep, he did.  I was very young and fresh at the time, he was quite the flirt.

:'(

I would pay big money if someone can find that old show for me.

Radio and Podcasts / Re: Should SiriusXM Sue Art??
November 07, 2013, 08:36:53 PM
Damn, this place is so busy right now..

My guess is he refused to sign a non-compete, because he made that comment one night on Dark Matter about not being able to go on for 3 years bc of the C2C compete clause.

Sirius would be stupid not to sue him if they could, but Art is smart enough to not put himself in a position to lose much.  At least I don't think he would.

That you state you are a mental health professional and also mention Dr Laura scares the hell out of me.

I listen to her because she is highly entertaining, not to learn how to do my job.  This is the meanest forum I've ever seen!

Hi, Luna.  I signed the petition.

Like you, I am hopelessly devoted to Art.

Take care,

Art Bell is like Lindsey Lohan.   Talented, Amazing, Entertaining, but unreliable.  If he put his fans first, he would't have just bailed.  When I heard what he said at the end of Spooky Matter, I had a gut feeling something was coming down the pike.

When I called to cancel my Sirius subscription, they offered me a free radio to stay.  I said no.  I did want to support Art, which is why I said no, that new radio was TEMPTing.

The person who diagnosed him as narcissistic is spot on - and I'm a mental health professional!

Art, JUST get your ass on the computer and start talking again.

Well, I am highly disappointed in Art for bailing out, again.

He could have started a podcast like Dr. Laura does, you pay her seven bucks a month and get all her old shows to download and listen to whenever you want.  (She has a sirius show, too).

I give up on the old Fart.
