Not that I'm aware of.  He posted that he was sad that Jackstar was gone, and would probably be posting less because of it.  I replied letting him know that we have plenty of members here that have all kinds of varying interests... but if he wants to continue participating here, that's his choice.

His "meltdown" that happened just caused a vacuuming but not a ban... that's why I was kind of surprised Jackstar got the boot.

Hmmm.  I've never done MOD duty.  When someone is banished to the corn field, does their IP addy get banned so that they can't even dial up and view?  Or is it a bit simpler: no access other than what someone might have if the stumbled in, Busey-like unhinged, and didn't register?

you can ban just a username, or an ip address, or an email address, or a hostname, or a complete TLD, whatever... and you can set it to fully ban a user if one of these triggers is detected, or you can just set it just to prevent the user from posting.  i originally had jackstar's set up so that he could read but not post, but then he started using the "report post" feature to complain about punctuation, so that was that.  of course, he could just go to a library to read the forum or use a friend's computer or use a TOR or proxy ip that hasn't been banned in the past.

Here I was starting to question whether or not I was starting to display some abnormal personality traits when I was looking into things (basically, I was curious if things that happened a couple weeks ago was a hoax, and my conclusions were it wasn't)... Personally, if I'm at someone's house and they ask me to leave, I don't need to be told twice.  Let alone three times...  I think that answers the questions on whether or not you two will ever kiss and make up...
