Random shit people say into their phones while walking around grocery store:

"Ooh... dat nigga on dat baff salt! Dat nigga on dat baff salt!"

I should think about buying groceries somewhere else.
I want to go to the grocery store where The Dude shopped.

Art lived in a town with a low cost of living. Noory decided to go live in expensive Los Angeles. That's why he's slaving away like a fool in these embarrassing conventions and appearances.

Noory is also paying his kids' mortgages. He said this a few times. That's why he is so shameless.

lol... bruce used to always say that about terms being thrown around.  and he called EVERYONE tiger.
I swear I think he said in his airline rant that he told the airline counter attendant to "slow down" when she was telling him the new procedures and fees. Too funny.

I don't expect the San Francisco program to give panhandlers $75 a week to "foster" a puppy to work out so well...
I read that on SFist too. What a bunch of morons. Those people who choose to not look after themselves are charged with the care of a baby animal? GTFO.

"Puppy ran away.... darn. Can I have my 75 bucks please?"

Here's baby bird! I hope he'll be in the wild soon.

Here is the audio to which she refers.  Jeeze... I just realized this was like 8 or 9 years ago.
"Slow down tiger!" "We drop these terms all over the place." Thank you so much for posting this Michael. This is classic stuff.

Been listening to Bruce's podcast.  You thought his radio show sounded like he was broadcasting from a la-z-boy recliner whlist donning a bath robe?  His advancing years, lack of callers, and easy manner really make his podcast a relaxing enterprise.  I'm not complaining.  I enjoy it.

Bruce wants to talk to me about Pork Roll.
I love his rant on flying. He had all these tips for the airline industry.

what kinda bird anyways??  Throw up a pic of the lil guy with the limp wing... Can't remember the last time I took a bird in.  Baby birds in my apt wouldn't fly so to speak.  Never took in babies before maybe teenagers.  I was prolly like 12.  Well hey ya know that bird wouldn't have had a fair chance in the wild with  his wing like that so I commend you for not leaving it out to die.  Cats can be very evil with prey... it's never quick and painless.
I love cats, but I hate outdoor cats. They hunt and kill senselessly. While they get food at home, they still hunt. I can't count how many dead birds I've found: doves, robins, sparrows..... it's one thing to hunt for food, but for fun?! NO good, especially during a time when these babies need their parents.

I'll attach a pic for ya. I  hope the rehab place can get him ready for the wild. He just jumped out of the bowl I have him in. He's got a fiesty spirit already. GOOD!

that's a shame!!  at least momma bird isn't just giving up on the lil guy that bailed and got touched by a human!! I hate seeing dead baby birds but each spring it's inevitable.  Good luck with the one you took in.  What are you feeding it??? Have you been liquefying insects or are you using good ol' similac?
I wish I had time to liquify insects! I'm feeding him baby bird formula. I basically make a paste with nutristart and feed with a tube attached to a syringe. I hate to do what I am doing because I am probably not giving him a fair chance to be in the wild. But with a broken wing, I'm too scared to leave him out. I put a brace on him that I am very proud of. The wing is totally immobile. The rescue is about an hour away, and tomorrow, I'm planning on going because I have a huge pocket of time.

Another model of this UFO shaped baby recently crashed in Maryland. If you follow the link, there's also a video.

Good work!
The strong one has been sitting on a branch for 24 hours now. He can't fly yet, but he has feathers and he's strong. I saw the mother come and feed him. The one with the brace is still with me. I'm feeding it with a syringe until tomorrow when I can take him to the rescue. I just came in from checking on the branch baby bird and I found another bird on the floor, dead with a bloody head. I think the mother picked a bad place to nest. All the babies have fallen out! How awful.

When he was younger he worked men's rooms, bus stations, city parks and the like. Then he worked a few years as a carny where he learned to operate the Tilt-A-Whirl, guess a person's weight and how to run the "pigeon drop" short con. A stretch in custody gave him skills as a jailhouse tattoo artist, where he specialized in "Love" and "Hate" knuckle tats, penis-&-scrotum decoration and "Property Of" signage. Next he worked some boiler room operations, selling "prime Florida coast real estate" over the phone to senior citizens - and made a killing. From there he graduated to selling unregistered "securities" supposedly on the cusp of an IPO...the profit margin was huge inasmuch as the stock was non-existent. Then he worked as an Environmental Engineer - Toilet Division, for Hughes Aircraft, which was a sub-contractor for NASA. He left there in the 80's under a cloud (something about three missing trailer-truck-loads of toilet paper), and went into business as a "space expert" based on the fact that he had in fact taken space up for many years. In 1998 he began his Enterprise Mission website offering his services as "space consultant and gigolo".

So you see RCH truly has a very rich science background.
Your post has given me a business idea for Richard C. Hoagland: C.V. padder extraordinaire! He will exaggerate even the least meaningful work to make sure you get that next big gig.

What I find painful is all of those damned commercials then he comes back and gives you a couple of more. I use Insider so I can listen when I'm awake during the day if I feel the need. I like my sleep as well so I rarely listen to the program live.
You should post podcasts for free in protest.

expat: how does Richard C. Hoagland provide for himself? Coast to Coast AM does not pay its guests. Is he a consultant? Does he work at McDonalds? He's gotta have a side gig, even if the cost of living is low in New Mexico.

If George Noory is telling the truth we are stuck with him until 2018. Lots more UFO PHIL to go .. So if he's right two questions: 1) will the show still be on the air and 2) if so how many affiliates will still carry it?
1. No

As I'm walking my dog last night, I find not one, but two baby birds.

I heard "bump bump bump" and two baby birds fell on the ground. One of them was chirping for mom. After ten minutes, momma didn't come. I scooped them up since we have some dastardly outdoor cats here. One of them is OK, and I just put her back outside. The other one has a broken wing. She's the smaller one. I put a makeshift brace and I'm taking her to the wildlife rehab. I hope they both fare well.

Since I see nothing but whining post after post about the Coast to Coast hosts - try this. Stop listening if it is so painful.
Since I do some "whining posts," I will just say this: I don't listen intentionally. I listen to a station to get news updates. Headlines. George Noory is on that channel. I catch at most 5 minutes. Each and every single time this occurs, I heard crap. I hear awful awful radio. I like to record it here on the Internet in the hope that George Noory will be shamed and so will his bosses. I don't care if he isn't fired. I just want to express it and laugh about it. It's not that serious.

Here's a suggestion for you: if you're tired of the whining posts, don't read them.

I was disgusted when a cat lady caller demanded to know why Giorgio Tshouslskskkloukalous did not include Phoenix, Arizona in his dumb tour of the world, George Noory did not even let Giorgio answer! George jumped right in like friggin King Arthur to protect his dear Giorgio. George Noory is so protective of this loser. Why? Then he proudly announced season 5 of that stupid show Ancient Aliens. I also heard Giorgio mention John Carter as part of the government disclosure project. George didn't say a word.

I hate Coast to Coast AM!

Radio and Podcasts / Re: Ian Punnett

The difference between good and crap was on display with Ian. A woman called in to say that her cat died the day before, her son is addicted to heroin, and her house is falling apart. She was at the end. She lost her job too, I think.

Ian gave her good advice and consoled her as best as possible over the phone on live radio. Now, had it been George Noory, I don't even want to think how badly George would have botched it. Good work, Ian.

expat: good work on your blog. I love the Carl Sagan quote dissing Hoagland. He probably trolls the blog? Does he leave fan boy comments defending himself?
#202
Did Richard C. Hoagland seriously state that John Carter has anything to do with NASA?

Please no! Imagine the BS he will try to pull with that.... don't give him ideas!

The cover of Bara's upcoming book looks like a a blind person just found out about ms paint. I even contacted him through facebook and told him i would redo it, free of charge if the book wasnt already in production. His reply was making the cover his default profile picture on facebook. he really showed me.. Thats what I get for tying to help.  I've actually done cover work for various books and cd's, mainly helping the little guys. Even art I've posted on c2c's site has seen requests for cover art. But instead of accepting the free help, he continues to be a moron. Whatever. All i can say is you can definitely judge a book by it's cover.
Don't offer to do things for these idiots! You're too good.

Interesting tangent here... wouldn't it be possible to grow turtle-shell material without the turtle attached?
I realise it might be more trouble than it's worth for the guitar-pick industry, but I've long wondered the same thing about blood. Why does blood have to be donated from another human being? Presumably it's a straightforward chemical process.
Any thoughts, HAL? Onan? Or any other medical types or chemists? This subject has always intrigued me.
Good question. I think it would be dangerous because of the pathogens non-humans carry. Pig tissue is close to human, so I know it is used in higher phases of animal studies. However, when it comes to mixing blood....

From Yahoo:
" Humans can't have transfusions of animal blood, because our immune system will recognize
it as foreign and mount an immune response. This type of systemic immune
response will cause the body to go into shock and probably die. During
development, the cells of the immune system are tested in the thymus to make sure
they do not attack "self" proteins (called self antigens). Even an animal that
is very similar to a human, such as a monkey, has enough differences in their
proteins that our immune system can recognize it as different and foreign. This
is caused by very slight differences in the protein sequences. Different sugars
on the cell surfaces can also be recognized by the immune system. Our immune
system is very good. That is why even two humans must be carefully matched to
donate and receive blood. If you got blood from someone of a different
incompatible blood type, your immune system would attack it. For example, if you
have type O blood, you can only receive type O blood. You can not take type A or
B blood, because that blood has different sugars on proteins on the blood cells

which your immune system will recognize and attack."

Onan is right. George Noory said his horrible hosting will continue until he dies. No radio host says things like that unless he is aware of his suckage and how much people dislike him. George Noory is an insecure loser. Therefore, the only effective means of getting him off the air is Adam Carolla's character on Family Guy:

I remember Facebook banned Hoagland once and on his crazy web site, he was expressing his outrage. I think this was last year... Not surprised he came back to FB.

Wikipedia is run by a group of alien taco chefs who want to turn humanity into a race of space janitors through the use of genetically engineered ground beef. I wouldn't trust it (wikipedia)
I love tacos, and I may make them tonight. My dog is also a fan. Thanks for the tip b_dubb! :)
