I wonder what is up? I am trying to listen to the rest of the Alper interview.
I get an 1109 message. Is that like a 404 except bigger?
Sirius radio is up, but I can't get the interview.

Alper is pretty awesome, the fact that he upsets so many people isn't a very good sign:/

Sure you do Sean.
I believe you.
Just like I believe and predict that the Pittsburgh Pirates are going to sweep the playoffs and win the World Series in 4 games.
All done by praying to a giant black and gold statue of the Pittsburgh Duck and hosing themselves down in ritual dousings of Duqesne Beer.
Yeah SDM dude, if you add in all the stoners who live in Weed.
AB had the # 1 late night radio show in the country for years and Mr. Defraud and not pay back people thinks he has more listeners than ART ?
WHAT has HE been smoking ?

hey, i am not SDM, hopefully you didn't think i am. my IQ goes down at least 20 points when i am on my ipad, and believe me, i can't afford that.
i was playing around with michael. michael knows me...well in an internet sort of way;)
oh man, it is difficult to edge back in sideways on a forum you haven't been on in a while.
not to brag... but i really did contribute to the motion of the nooryisms being written up.
what is most grand about those, is all these years later they are actually internet gold. back in the day... they were more like therapy for the extremely disillusioned.

when did you send it?
i think art knows all of this happened, that is one reason i was floored to hear sean was being welcomed back with open arms.
gah, i don't even have the time or energy to pull sean up on this today.
thanks for that sec link.
i havent read it before, but i will now.
i have heard sean talk about it, but it was everyone elses fault.

Yeah, right!  Sean David Morton bigger audience than Art...what a joke.  Art must of kicked him to the curb--the BIG phony.
okay, well today sean is saying arts success is because sean gave art his roledex.
and mentioned that arts new show is getting horrible reviews.
this is starting to get my hackles up.
i mean, really?
why does he put his neck on the block like that?
it is just stupid.

so, here i am on the wrong thread not just beating a dead horse, but punching it right in the mouth like i am mel brooks or something.
sean david morton just announced that he would NOT be appearing on dark matter, oct. 1st as previously announced.
he went on to point out that his audience is much larger than art's anyway.

so, well, that is that i suppose.

i like sean because he has been a friend to me.
so... since i am not a movie start or anything...i will just pretend to be ignorant of the machinations of fame;)
i just assumed to were on a gravel road in parumph with am illegal string on a radio amplifier.
how dare you burst my bubble like that;)

After seeing the pictures it was obvious about why the kid hedged.
As for open lines...Art always had to tell many callers that they need to turn off their radio.  There will always be people think the rules/guidelines are for other people.
yeah but g-mail was seriously running six hours behind yesterday. was meador on g-mail maybe?

I'm listening now on demand, I missed the show last night. Cool story so far. Classic Art, "do you have a real phone?" Hahaha  :P
That guest lied about having a real phone.

The following is a list of documented George Noory quotes. Known as "Nooryisms"... these non sequitur quips and half-witted, meandering ramblings serve only to exacerbate my feelings of disappointment over what has happened since Noory took over Coast to Coast AM. If you happen to know of others and you can document when they occurred, please post them in a reply to this topic.

"Could it be a portal?"

***********

"I don't think there's any doubt."

***********

"Let me tell you even I have learned some things here I didn't know about."
From Jul 19 2007. Following a round table discussion on trans-humanism.

***********

"How 'bout a dramatic topic... trans-humanism... you know, when you just think of the word trans-humanism, you dudint think that it's that exciting but it really is!"
From July 19 2007. He really did say dudn't.

***********

"If we all had our own solar system, we wouldn't have to worry about that."
From July 19, 2007. During a discussion on solar energy.

***********
"Did you hear today they just found Saturn's 60th moon? I will give you one million dollars of the network's money, James, if you, in the next two minutes, can name all sixty."
From July 19, 2007.

***********

George Noory: "Dr. Leir's website is www.alienscalpel.com. Ooh, that's scary sounding. Alien scalpel."

Dr. Roger Leir: "Well, you know me George, I don't try to scare people."

George Noory: "Yeah, with those fang teeth of yours?"
July 6, 2007.

************

"If you raised a baby and beat it and kicked it and yelled at it, it would turn out to be a mean baby?"
July 19, 2007.

************

"Jim, humanity has always been looking for ways to improve on our suffering and improve on disease, aging and involuntary death..."
July 19, 2007.

************

"You know, Ray, everytime I think of things in the future, I think of the Jetsons."
July 19, 2007.

************

"Well before too long we'll all be cyborgs won't we?"
July 19, 2007.

************

"I would guess your mind is part of who you are."
July 19, 2007.

************

"If you had a chance to go back to Skull and Bones right now, as a little fly on the ointment, so to speak, what would you be looking for?"

************

"Gosh!"

************

I've been fascinated by this my entire life.

************

Al-ja-reeza.

************

"Things are never as they seem.

***********

I should write a book. I've always wanted to write a book. I should write a book about kids who see dead people.

***********

"Wouldn't it be amazing if one day they discover a buried UFO and flipped a switch and on it goes?" (Another non-sequitur.)

***********

I don't believe in coincidences.

***********

There are no coincidences.

***********

Coincidences don't exist.

***********

Have I ever mentioned that I don't believe in coincidences?

***********

OK, Canadian. Don't knock our administration.

***********

I really do believe 2012 is coming. What do you think about that?

***********

"Well, the group mind experiments I've done on the show have been rather tentative because I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

***********

George: "It would be great if Saddam just left Iraq, don't you think?"

Hal: "Yes, but he's not going to do that. Like last time, he's going to put his citizens in harm's way, use them as human shields, and wreak destruction on the oil fields."

George: "That's kind of selfish, isn't it?"

***********

"Yeah, March 3rd is a full moon. When our boys go in that'd be the best time, because they'll really need the light to see." (On the Iraq invasion.)

***********

"I truly believe there are other solar systems out there. I really do."

***********

A story is worth a thousand words.

***********

Richard C. Hoagland: So he used the Star Wars theme the night before the God damn war started! Can I say that on here?

George Noory: No.

Richard C. Hoagland: Oh. OK.

***********

"That's got to be the worst luck I've ever heard of... in a very long time."

***********

I was jumping over chairs and knocking them over with my back feet."

"Oh, yeah."
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
Sure.
That's right.
Uh huh.
Gee.
Ha ha. That?s true.
Yeah.
I was just going to say...
Sure, yeah.
Gosh, he comes up with some great stuff.
(Noory's interactions with Michio Kaku in April of 2003.)

***********

"He's dedicated to finding the 'Theory of Almost Everything.'"

that moment when your husband asks about the "nooryisms" and you come to this post from five years ago, read them to him, and you both laugh till you cry. (while waiting for art bell to come on.) life is good!

PLUS, my guess is Noory was ON THE AIR while he was texting RCH, which confirms my theory that he is txting and emailing when he should be doing a show.
Stuff him.

I can's speak for everybody on this board, but I suspect most of them, like myself, will still continue to listen to Noory along with Art Bell. I have always listened to Noory when a particular guest or topic interests me. I listen to C2C for the topic alone and not the host. Conversely, I have always done this with Art for 20+ years as well. If there is a topic than I am disinterested in, I won't listen that particular night.

Remember, the topic or guest is 90% of the reason we listen. The host only accounts for 10% of why we listen, although Noory at times can make that 10% insufferable at times.
boycott him? hell, that would be a step up. i simply haven't listened in years. he is way too insignificant to boycott.
#134
well, it sounded like the caller from weed was having health problems and the pot was helping... so that's cool.
today sean asked everyone to email arts producer and tell him how much they are looking forward to him being on his show sometime. and then commented that arts new show was receiving less than glowing reviews.
hmmm.
as per usual i am probably beating a dead thread, but ... well my excuses are of no consequence.
i am just glad it is monday! how often do you hear that? lol.

Strange Universe Sean David Morton 2013 09 19

Okay, this is the conversation I had with Sean about him appearing on Arts show. Starting at 11:00 minutes. Got some slings and arrows in on GN and did a plug for the forum;)

Could someone link me some more info on this adding a 30" wire to the end of the antenna, please?
he announced it on his revolution radio show as being scheduled for october 1st. (his birthday.) a couple of days later i called in to verify... he said he and art have a little ritual of him being on, on his birthday.
i am still having a hard time believing it though, not sure why.
#137
well, that clears it up for me.
i hope premier treats clyde lewis right.
i see clyde struggling to make a show with so many commercial breaks.
but them again, that is good news for his show.
when he first signed onto premier there were a load of PSA's instead.
not a good sign.
#138
ahhh, MV, thanks for clearing me up on that, re; "classic" guests at the start.
#139
oh and playing "white bird" for RCH was absolutely a work of ART.
#140
i am also really curious how art is scheduling his guests. is he bringing back some of the oldies, that no one wants to listen to anymore, just to prove that he can interview a turnip and make it interesting? (and he can).

sean david morton has informed the world that he will be the guest on october 1st.

i am looking forward to that, although i am just as surprised by it as all the other guests so far.

i wish he would interview some of the new voices.

henrick palmgren for one. hopefully we have PLENTY  of time.

is his producer just crunching numbers on what guest will be next, based on requests?
anyone know, or have a smart guess?
#141
:(okay, i am just getting around to listening to last nights show with hoaxland.
entertaining enough, art could interview a turnip and i would still listen.
but REALLY, richard brings up michael hastings name as a reason their are no whistlblowers in NASA.
that pisses me off. and yes, i know pissed off is something i can't say on arts show.
but man, that was just the lowest i have ever heard the hoaxland stoop.

I'm here for the people who are here, this is where I want to be.  Thanks anyway though.
Yep, we have been here for years bitching about Snoory... now we're having our day in the sun!
#143
I guess I don't know the background on that. Didn't JDO get all up kn that situation with Arts son?
Clyde just had JDO on the othernight too, I just assumed he had some new c/d's to sell or something.

Thanks for the reply.
#144
I didn't see a thread about this.
Art Bell stated on his facebook page this morning that GN did the most shameful thing he has ever done since being in the chair... last night.

I read through the comments and no one knew what it was because none of them listen to Noory.

This is a burning "tree fell in the forest" issue for me.

Does ANYONE know what George said?

Oh God, please tell me it had nothing to do with Ramona or Arts son. I could forgive anything else I suppose.

I'm dying to know here!
#145
And Freeman Fly, who seems mostly censored from the main of the web.
#146
And true, our own MV has carried the lamp for rt and his refugees for years. That would be awesome, putting him on my list to Paul.
#147
I really want Art to have Clyde Lewis on.
I speak for myself, but I suspect many others, Clyde Lewis is the only person who came close to filling Arts shoes. He's been opening for Art years on end.

I for one can't believe my good fortune for having Art AND Clyde both on the air hours every week.

Clyde is amazing and interesting, his muscial montages for one night outdo and month of Sundays of Georges show.
#148
What concerns me most about Arts new show is what I have coined "BlackGlama" Syndrome.

What becomes a LEGEND most?

Blackglama was a famous ad campaign that sought to put movie legends into their black mink coats.
It work fabulously. I assume many women lusted after this coat.

They had to discontinue the campaign at some point because there simply were no legends left and no one new to put in these coats.

Miley Cyrus in a blackglama?

Gawd, I can't believe I just said her name. It is now truly the end of the internet.

And yes, fur became politically incorrect... these legends seem to have the power to override that opinion.

I listen to a lot of Arts old shows. Many of his guests have faded away or have become infamous for being ... well less than honest in their pursuits.

Art himself is the legend... what will he do for decent guests? That worries me.

Oh, and do watch the video here... it's intriguing. These were strong, alluring women, many of them spinning in their graves I would assume if they could see the state of the arts today.

before this news broke, i kept hearing the name art bell all over several stations. his name has been especially mentioned on c2c a lot lately. people just casually dropping his name in.
very interesting.
the universe of radio works in mysterious ways, we have re-manifested ART.
i still can't believe it... things got so bad i was too apathetic to even bitch about george anymore.
does this mean michael will finally get rich? or is his server just gonna crash from the extra traffic.
ima give him a donation right now.

I have Sirius in our 2010 Jetta and aside from the sat input, the sound from CDs, mpg's (on SD), FM, even AM is quite good for an OEM head unit.  I don't listen to music on Sirius, and I suppose it could possibly be the OEM sat radio add-on box itself. I just came back from the store and listening to  Michael Smirkonish/Sirius POTUS channel in the car.  It was awful, like coming out of a pipe, with callers sounding like they're underwater. I also timed the bottom of the hour break...6 minutes. I'm a bit of an audiophile and have a high end audio system so I have an idea of good sound and bad sound.  I think they compress thje hell out of the talk channels to conserve capacity for the music channels. I'm not saying its not listenable...I spent years listening to Bell fading in and out on an AM station 150 miles away, but so many CG posters seem to think Sat radio is synonymous with quality audio and also commercial free.  Not in my experience.
Oh, I didn't realize it wasn't commercial free. I hope Art offers a podcast download sans commercials. I will listen to both... I don't want to miss a minute of any of it. This is going to be SO interesting to see where he takes the ride after all these years. Everyone is getting stale.
