Does that US$10 billion include any Federal charges to VW directly?

I can only imagine how the car would run after "the fix"?  If you value acceleration, it could be a major change.

Up here, so long as the Check engine light engine isnt illuminated and the diesel cars dont smoke, it passes emissions.  We finally got rid of the dyno drive cycles that Cali uses.

Do they still though? With these modifications and the 'new' diesel? I know old trucks and tractors (heck even old Mercedes) could go on forever but it would seem (I don't have any) that the newer diesel engines are getting computerized and more complicated.
