I had a severe fever of something like 107 and no energy. I slept almost straight for 36 before rebounding to 100% health.
I really did want to catch it to be sure to not bring it to my mother or any of the older / less healthy people in my life. As it stood, I fortunately did not spread it to anybody.
*Now that the "experts" finally admit that it is here to stay and everybody (vaccinated or not) will catch it, I feel like I was just ahead of the curve by wanting to just get it over with.
Didn't you catch it when you went to a relative's house who was sick with it and played naked twister with him for a few hours...or maybe it was clothed checkers? A long time ago I once was so sick with the flu or something that dying didn't seem like such a bad thing but I don't think my temperature was even close to 107. I can't imagine how that must have felt. I'm glad you're back to one 100%. Some people who had a mild case complain of long-covid. Dave Navarro, for example, says he's been sick for six months so far:

One of my neighbors died from it. I don't know if he was vaccinated or not.
I sometimes wonder if covid was around at least a year before we ever heard about it and only hit the news after it got too out of control to keep it a secret.
