Well I talk about National and World events, not the same thing as pounding the Liberal or Conservative drums.

In fact I always start the show with news and if it's really interesting we talk about it, if the same old boring crap then why waste the time?

What I really want is just to do fun Radio.

It's a fair question, I did do a Political show for a few Years long ago, BUT the reason I changed is because I got sick of the same old thing night after night so despite what my Boss wanted I changed it up and have never looked back.

It's ok, the rabid Political types have almost every other show to do their thing. Politics is boring to me so I don't do it.

I still remain convinced that 911 was a outside job. Not that I want to talk about Politics because I don't. The people who are convinced that 911 was our own Govt blowing up itself spew hate unless you agree with them.

I have other stuff I want to talk about.

I know I have hurt people (not physically) but emotionally. When I was young I had a bit of a way with Women and hurt some I know and it haunts me.

When I was climbing the ladder in Radio I was brutal with competition and took delight in crushing them which I am sure is despite Business being War, a Sin I am sure, which when Dave pulled some tricks and ended up on 104 I understood as karmic retribution.

I have always carried a weird kind of guilt about success because I am sure much was just luck and there are a lot of talented people who don't have it.

I had a rough Childhood, very very strict Parents and we were not a close Family, now it's to late.

Other stuff to I am sure. I am also sure that about clips my wings.

Well these Children were half American and the big worry was that the Vietcong would slaughter them after Saigon fell, many were killed, either way they do not have a bright future there.

Wow, so pardon my ignorance here, but were you that DJ?  Or were you in the military at that time and part of the airlift?  Either way, super cool.

Yes I was that DJ. I was doing the Morning show for KENI in Anchorage. And yes I was part of the Airlift. I have a picture of me getting off the plane in Philadelphia with one of those children in my arms. The Anchorage Daily News arranged for me to speak with one of those young Men we brought back and we talked, he thanked me. He had just graduated from College and wanted to know how he got here.

A RESCUE REVISITED ORPHAN AIRLIFTED OUT OF VIETNAM IN "75 COMES TO ALASKA TO MEET THOSE WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE
Author:    DONNA FREEDMAN

In April 1975, a chance remark by an Anchorage morning disc jockey snowballed into "Operation Airlift," a statewide effort to transport Vietnamese war orphans from Saigon to the United States.
In three days, some $126,000 for plane charters and related expenses was collected. After several weeks of uncertainty, a military plane carrying 63 orphans landed at McChord Air Force Base in Washington.
None of the youngsters was adopted in Alaska; most went to parents in the Philadelphia...

Funny, somebody mentioned this, I did not pay to get the whole article from the Anchorage Daily news but this is the free sliver of it I could find. I actually talked to a young Man we had brought back and he thanked me. It was amazing.

Haha, no worries, my skin is fine I was just interested that people really are not for the most part at all sure of what they want. Also what was romantic for them a decade ago might just be something that irritates them now. I would keep that in mind for myself.

I truly marvel at people, I say I will give you astounding audio in Stereo on the Internet, then many complain, oh but I will miss the crackle and fade of Am Radio, then I do a brief demonstration of one high power Shortwave station that covers the entire World with one signal and people say... And thats supposed to sound good? Jeez

Piracy: Let me say again that if somebody ran our Stream live same time as we were doing it from some Country, some Stan or another they would just be saving us bandwidth, but if they did it at any other time that would cost us money or if they put the Podcast up that would cost us money.

In the first case of course it would be wrong but not a darn thing we could do, right?

In the other cases like UTube, well that has to be stepped on.

BTW Just heard from a 100,000 watt short wave station on 5085 that would like to carry the show, now that might be fun!

No worries, anything that comes from a IHateArt source is very encouraging really and it's not hard to tell. However I consider you all Family and that is a whole different story.

The main part of the Studio gear arrived today. Also we have large luck in that Telos has embraced us and will provide the gear to encode and transfer the show as well as SIP gear for the phone lines. Seems one of their high level Engineers lives right here in Pahrump (what are the odds?).

We will provide some publicity ads for Telos, they are awesome.

As most of you know everything is once again fine with Keith and myself so please don't ad to the strain by attacking Keith. Attack me if you wish. Keith is a important part of what has to happen and
It is a lot. We have someone to help him with some of the workload.

There is more to do then meets the eye. Lots of work to do. Yes there are lots of ups and downs which I have shared here so you can all share the stress. I don't have to do this if you all are getting to stressed.

Iam sure many sit back and say what's the big deal, but it really is.

                                               Announcement

I am sorry to announce that Keith Rowland has informed me tonight that he no
longer wants to move forward (he quit). This follows a conversation I had with him in
which I asked him to not snap at people. I was concerned because he was in charge of
the Business side of the deal which is a lot of work and involves dealing with people.
Business is built on relationships. He said the stress of all this was to much for him
which is understandable because there is a great deal to do on his side. He further told
me that he will turn his Network over to somebody else. All this was as much a shock
to me as I am sure it is to you.

As a result of this, it is less likely that I will move forward because I can not handle both
The Talk Host part of the job as well as the Music License matters, the Streaming deals
that have to be made, the Website, the Producer he had lined up and much more.

Since I have already bought all the Studio gear I will go ahead and build the Studio with
the hope of finding a way forward. This is not me saying I quit, it is me saying that right
now I don’t see a way to get it all done. If  I can find a way, I will do so, but this is kind
of a stopper for the moment. I will keep you all informed.

Seriously, I think I have said this before but it bears repeating, I don't care if it's a smaller show as long as it's a better show and fun. I think in the current World with the way Technology is going we
have a decent chance at producing something that is worthy, either way I intend to have fun trying.

I hope in a way that we start small and grow if we deserve it.

OK, left turn, back to the new show.

If one was to solicit advertisers for a web radio show like this, what would be the metric that advertisers would want to see before buying time? Amount of clicks to listen?  Time spent listening?  Even though you have a loyal following, you don't have the Arbitron book and thus, you can't prove a demo.  I wonder...

Hmmm.... tricky.

It's not tricky at all, unlike Broadcast media we can give advertisers exact server numbers, number of clicks, time spent listening, every little exact fact they might like. Arbitron is at best a sample, we will have exact numbers.

I'd hate to see people paying to see you if you aren't going to be there.

Well I just posted on FB. How can people do this kind of thing? It's just wrong. I don't like doing these kind of events, never have.

Those people are nuts, I never agreed to do that, some guy I could barely understand called me and asked me about it, I told him to call me back because I had to think about it, he never did. Moreover I never signed any agreement or even got one. I have sent email's to every addy I could find on their site. They are doing false Advertising. Bad

Art Bell

FEATURED KEYNOTE SPEAKER ART BELL

The master of UFOs, fringe science and conspiracy theory ART BELL is back!

His radio show midnight in the desert will begin July 2015

Art was the co-creator of the hugely successful "Coast to Coast AM" retired from his full-time role of master of the macabre in 2003, after 15 years. Over that span, he went from mainstream talk to a highly successful foray into unexplained phenomena, turning the syndicated juggernaut into the most listened to overnight show in North America. In 1996 Bell appeared in an episode of the NBC science fiction series Dark Skies as William S. Paley, head of CBS. On September 30, 1998 NBC's Today Show aired a taped segment of reporter Fred Francis interviewing Bell. Francis questioned Bell about Hale-Bopp, Area-51, eccentric callers claiming to be "six-fingered alien hybrids" as well as the UFO sighting experienced by Bell and his wife Ramona. The segment also featured members of Bell's audience reacting to topics being discussed.  In 1999 Bell appeared as himself on the series Millennium. The episode called "Collateral Damage" aired in the third season and dealt with a former U.S. soldier who claimed the government he fought for was indeed responsible for horrendous tests on soldiers and Iraqi civilians. (This episode was broadcast on January 22, 1999. The Washington Post, 1-22-99.)

In 1999 Bell was interviewed on Larry King Live. (This was broadcast on March 5, 1999. The Washington Post, 3-5-99.) Progressive rock band Tool's 2001 album, Lateralus, featured a track entitled "Faaip de Oiad" (Enochian for "The Voice of God"), which includes a clip of the "distraught and terrified" Area 51 employee call from September 11, 1997. In 2005 Bell and then-wife Ramona were featured on the ABC news special: Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs - Seeing Is Believing, which reported on the entire scope of the UFO experience, from the first famous sighting by Kenneth Arnold in 1947 to the present day. (This was broadcast on February 24, 2005. The Washington Post, 2-20-05.) In 2005 snippets of Bell and callers to his show were featured on the song "Conspiracy Radio" on Sean Hogan's album "Catalina Sunrise": Bell is credited for "voice overs" on this track. In 2006 Bell was featured in the video game Prey and played him. He hosts, as in real life, Coast to Coast AM, and the player is able to listen to the broadcast at several terminals throughout the game. The broadcasts describe what is happening on Earth as the game unfolds. The game plot centers on a massive space ship and alien abductions. Bell receives a number of calls about people who have seen smaller craft as they abduct people. The protagonist is one of these people and listens to the radio while on the space ship. In 2007, Bell appeared as himself in the movie I Know Who Killed Me.

Bell has written, or co-written, several books. They include The Quickening: Today's Trends, Tomorrow's World; The Art of Talk (an autobiography); The Source: Journey through the Unexplained; The Edge: Man's Mysterious Past & Incredible Future; and The Coming Global Super storm (co-authored with Whitley Strieber), which became the basis for the popular movie, The Day After Tomorrow.

Nor do I but that was not right and I have told Keith so. I am a little discouraged that no matter who did the
hack those people are going to keep coming at me no matter what and the last thing I need is to have infighting going on as well.

I never felt like blowing my own horn, I always actively avoided it.

Some things about Dave I just don't get, really to many to list here but mostly how somebody with so little thinks so much of himself or why he does nasty things and then when he is called on it he rushes in here to spin it as the latest accident action of somebody else or a coincidence, which at any other show moment he does not believe in. Honest to God you can set your clock by it. I think he is a very insecure person.

I will never forgive either him or Lisa for the Oates thing which was done from the most mean spirited center a person can have and I have told both of them that.

Again, as we near July I expect whatever dirt they can throw at me to be thrown even though I think it hurts them and only helps me but insecurity drives Dave to his nasty little center. The real kicker is there is no need for all this, both shows will survive just fine but Dave has not figured that out yet.
