Man, that must have been a killer concert. Even some Crimson Ghost cameos in the video.

Welcome back.

When I was a wee lass, I slept in my older sister's room and it was covered with Iron Maiden posters. One night I had a nightmare all those little people that Satan is puppeteering in this poster:

were surrounding the bed. I woke up and took all her posters down. Heh. Strangely enough she wasn't as mad as I thought she'd be.

It's funny, of all the scary images in the poster, it was the people that scared me.

It remains one of my favorite Maiden videos.  They are just so INTO it.

Illustrator Derek Riggs really outdid himself on that cover art. Indeed.

Yeah, he did. Eddie was brilliant. I don't want my previous post to imply that I didn't like Iron Maiden or the posters. I did like both just I guess that poster gave me nightmares.

There is a Bruce Dickinson poster she had that gave me dreams of a different sort once I got a little older.

Good to see you back. Pick up any additional habits in during your hiatus?

A few concerts ago he told off the crowd in SA for smoking weed. "I have to fly tomorrow." Great concert SA loves their metal, a weird phenomena but it brings out an interesting, diverse group of typical metal heads, Mexicans, and, increasingly, people bringing their kids. My favorite quote from that show, later, was in the parking lot slamming beers and waiting for traffic to die off and a shirtless, staggering drunk Mexican asked if he could borrow my phone because "my friends ditched me when I went into the pit." I hear him call someone and the best quote, presumably to wife/girlfriend/orevenmom  "I have no shirt or wallet again- I don't know why this always happens to me!?"

I believe this is the music video to the ice cream truck song. I believe the name of the song is "You Good Bruh?"

Holy Crap !
Zotz !
Great to see you're still stopping in once in a while.   :)

Hey, you should get a kick out of this article about the original 'Wall of Sound'.    ;)
I'm glad I wasn't a Dead-Head roadie.
lol.
(It's a long read, but very informative - and enjoyable.)

Edit: cruise around the site I linked, there's some really cool info buried there.     ;)

Both from Bruce Dickinson's solo album, Accident of Birth...  This was proof that Bruce did not need Iron Maiden so much as Iron Maiden needed Bruce.

Thanks for the link, Logan. I will investigate. In unrelated news, later this year, whenever it finally cools down around here, I'm going to make a much overlooked hour or so drive to view the Ft. Worth Water Gardens.  The importance of that location is not lost upon you, I'm sure!

Thanks, man.

No new habits to speak of. Q-Tip usage is down to near zero. Still buying the odd vinyl music album at used book stores here and there. Counting IBM Selectric II typewriters when they appear in movies/TV shows. Having nightmares about Angus Scrimm. Same old vices. Straight and steady.

A Bruce Dickinson song I never heard before today. One of those bonus songs found on a Japanese import version of album so and so. I kind of like the sweeping feel of it. Retro, dare I say, Billy Thorpe-ish?
