You beat me to it. Over at 11:15pm...well that's about 90 minutes longer than 2008.

I agree with this except I see a difference between the Conservatives and the Republican 'Establishment' in the R party.  I hold out hope the Conservatives can wrestle the party away from the McCain/McConnell/Hatch/Graham types.

The Conservatives are closer to the Libertarians in fiscal matters than the Dems and the Establishment R's, and they have a better chance of gaining enough power to change things than the Libertarians do, unfortunately.  The problem comes when the 'Christian Right' among the Conservatives clash with the Social minded Libertarians.
We don't often agree, PB, but we are pretty close on this.  Another area where the Dems and Libs are closely aligned is immigration, where they are very far from the GOP position.

Romney internals showed the president up by 5 in Ohio over the weekend.

Florida officials say we may have had a record turnout -  so much for lack of enthusiasm.

Prognosticator of the year to Ann Coulter.

Morgus

CNN reported that Obama wins even if he only won one state of the remaining swing states - even just Colorado.
So Ohio and Florida may not even matter and they are the real close ones that might be affected weeks later by provisionary ballots.

Fox is reporting right now that the Romney camp does not agree with the networks call on Ohio early for Obama.
Thats probably true due to so many issues there, but Obama only needs one of any of the remaining swing states besides Nevada anyway, and he is ahead in Colorado and Florida too.

MV/Liberace!

i guess fox news is considering retracting their call on ohio...

Morgus

The networks popular vote total currently shows Romney ahead.
So this year could be another case of one winning the popular vote and not the electoral college total.
Obama said years ago he was for going by the popular vote and getting rid of the electoral college - does he still prefer that tonight or change his mind on that now? ;)

I voted for Romney.  The guy is likable enough. I think he has a lot more knowledge on how to run an economy than Obama does.  Obama hasn't offered anything except a spending and a Federal Reserve inflating our currency.  Romney, not my first choice, but we had to do our best to get rid of Obama.

R 41,816,743
O 40,989,735    Romney might even win the popular vote.

Enjoy 4 more years of creeping socialism, everyone!
Maybe we'll get to find out what comes after Trillion.

MV/Liberace!

there is at least some good news tonight.  colorado voted to legalize marijuana for recreational use.  very happy to see that.

Looks like Masschusetts did as well.

And we elected a new Kennedy.

       One step forward, 86 back.

National bankruptcy?  Runaway inflation?  WWIII?  Class warfare - hand-to-hand and block-by-block?  Anarchy, then coup?

Art really does not like Romney.

Business man gets rich owning, building, selling = bad.

But isn't that what Art Bell did?

Ricky Williams just called Broncos, Seahawks and Patriots, says he is ready to play.

When the hell is Romney gonna concede?  Doesn't he realize that 53% of us have to get up and go to work tomorrow?

ziznak

Sooooooo... when do we all get our new Obama checks?

If Williams could convert to a defensive back, Bob Kraft and Belichick would fly him in tonight with a unlimited supply of Panama Red.

I am less than a mile from where he's throwing his celebration party and there's a parade of news vans leaving. Apparently they're tired of waiting as well.

Two annoying helicopters overhead as well. It's 20 of one you assholes.

Morgus

CNN has now called Nevada and Colorado for Obama.
That puts him over the top on electoral count even if Romney won all the other remaining swing states including Ohio and Florida, but Obama is ahead in those and even in Virginia.
Looks like its game over even if Ohio takes weeks to count to be sure.
The only question is who wins the final popular vote total, its razor thin between them with Romney still ahead there for now.

Pragmier

The marijuana vote results are encouraging, it's about time. Rove is pissing me off. You lost STFU.

I've been going back and forth with the coverage all night with "mute" on about 90% of the time. I played two full cds* without ever stopping to hear the pundits. They add little.

*Tony Williams Lifetime Believe It and Bill Bruford's One of a Kind. Bonus points for those who can provide the link with those two records(yes, they're drummer lead bands, that's not the answer)
