Really?  ::)

So she has nice legs and a silly name. How is that sexist? I'm not the one saying she's incapable of being in meetings with world leaders or trying to define what her role in the world is. Sexist.

Goodbye Democracy. Hello Trumptard Banana Republic.

Fraudster in chief Dumbald Trump has Ivanka sit in on meeting with Japanese Prime Minister, sending clear signal to the world that one of the people that will be running his businesses has his ear as President.

"Let’s suppose one of Trump’s companies would like to open a hotel in Japan and is seeking permits. Would the Japanese government deny them and risk the ire of the President of the United States?
This doesn’t just apply to Japan. This is Trump’s first meeting with a head of state and Trump knows that this photo will be seen around the world. Any country doing business with the Trump organization will be very clear about Ivanka’s role.
Since Trump will retain ownership in his businesses, Ivanka’s success will mean money in Trump’s pocket."

oh that lil unofficial meeting? from everything i've seen reported about it from the press... is that the press is pissed at having to wait for trump to say something to them. just making up more news...

I literally just spent the morning with a high level security IT guy for casinos and government and I'd be happy to take yours or this guy's money on this.

I have no idea. We see what is actually done in practice. He is not even in office yet but leftists are crying and screaming like the world has ended. It is a bit amusing though to see melt-downs. We will see. Unfortunately it was a matter of electing a known criminal and corrupt person who promised to throw open the border and escalate tensions with Russia and further destabilize the Middle East and a person who seems crude and possibly corrupt but not wants to, at least, have a border and at least claims to not like war or radial Muslim "refugees."

Sigh: it isn't 'leftists' having a meltdown. Its Trump putting his pieces in place to ensure he profits from his Presidency. Or has that escaped you? You have no issue with him having his family having access to diplomatic meetings to enable his family to profit? Why might banning lobbyists be a good thing for Trump? Why is it a good thing for a pride of lions, if the other prides are eliminated?

The same source that said the NYPD 'chief' was going to reveal info about the Clintons, if the FBI didn't?

Oh wait.. this is about Trump, and its potentially negative..nothing to see folks.. making America great.

Oh, they are. I get texts from relatives and friends that I sometimes don't even read. YUUGE meltdowns. Especially from those in bi-racial marriages or lesbian. Mein Gott, I picked up a relative at the airport and got a lecture for the whole trip home about "it is so hot here, global warming and Trump is going to make it hotter everywhere, etc." I just laughed internally, I choose my battles and don't understand the, primarily, leftist idea that you can't be friendly or still be family with people who have different political opinions. I've had threats to "cut off anybody she knows that voted for Trump" and all kinds of rhetoric. It is funny but a bit sad that people invest so much psychological faith and allegiance (and either "side") in politicians!
With regard to profiteering from office. He is not in office yet. We will see. We have PROVEN profit making with the other candidate. So it is a gamble, not my ideal candidate for sure, in Trump (too soft on immigration and too brash, crude Hollywood/NYC style but given the choice I'm glad it is he instead of her. I'm suspect of some of his, maybe, chosen staff but we will see. The meetings with Kissinger are troubling.

Sexism and homophobia is so progressive.

No offense, I just think liberals are idiots. There's plenty to be concerned about with Trump but leftist idiots are biting on the liberal woo instead of reality as usual.

Here's just a few of my concerns in the early going.

I'm concerned about Jeff Sessions being appointed to Attorney General considering the guy is a conservative whackadoo.

I'm concerned about Trump's age and mental condition. Which may be why he has his kids around constantly. (But I also like his family business approach)

I'm concerned about him using his office to manipulate the stock market. For instance, him fucking with the New York Times. However, I'm only salty because he beat me before I could organize some sort of margin trade on NYT holdings plummeting.

And etc.

But instead you're crying about two dimensional shit that's being fed to you. Ivanka Trump is in a public relations meeting with Japanese leaders? A multi-billionaire who has security out the ass is talking on unsecured lines? This is liberal mental illness. You are coming across like mentally incompetent children.

Sort of weird but maybe he is like a LaRouche or Tarpley type and likes the idea of massive Federal programs like FDR's New Deal brought about and giving work to youths and the unemployed in ambitious projects like dam building, building parks, building bridges, etc like CCC, NRA, TVA, etc etc back then?

Possibly but have you ever heard of the 1930s referred to as "exciting?" The New Deal work programs were desperate measures to keep people from starving, not some kind of glorious effort to build our crumbling or backwards infrastructure. Nobody saw it that way, then or now, since it was a miserable period of time for Americans.

Where was the 1930s an "exciting" period of time? In countries where economic nationalism, and all forms of nationalism, had the population really energized, primarily Germany, Italy and Japan. Boy, were they ever excited.

That's frightening. I didn't interpret it as him referencing Fascist countries rising during that time. My first reading of it is that he misspoke and meant the 1920s, which deeply concerned me because if he doesn't know his history why is he making policy decisions? But if your interpretation is correct then that's a rather silly thing to say in public in America, even if he is somewhat right.

Are we? But who is going to be POTUS? Your percieved idea that anyone liberal is mentally ill and have him wrong; or Trump who you admit has a mental condition?

Anyway, you have him now, for good or bad. Just don't complain about him, okay; about anything.

You think then that bakers should be forced to make wedding cakes for gay couples?

Pouring a coffee or ringing up a customer at a cashier is a bit different from forcing someone to decorate a cake.  Try again?

Principle is the same. Coffee, cake, chairs, clothes....

Selling a cake off the shelf is one thing, being forced to use one's talent to create one is different.

I think there is a precedent with food...one could argue that you can't force a non-Kosher butcher to provide Kosher products, and vice versa. Therefore, I don't think you can force a baker to make a cake that goes against religious beliefs. It would go to the Supreme Court, but I think the argument has merit.

All these people with their phony concern about Trump using the White House to advance his business interests.  Really?  And of course not even bothering to wait until he actually does something questionable - this, from these big supporters of due process and all the rest.

They do realize they just spent 18 months pretending the Clintons haven't pulled in a billion dollars peddling influence.  Maybe if they'd applied a bit of this newfound concern about corruption they'd have had a different candidate, and maybe would have won something.

I'm sorry, I just can't take these folks seriously after what we've been through with them defending the indefensible.

Pretty much...yea...

I wonder how much the Clintons lost personally with the loss of the White House?

A billion a year, give or take - with or without the advances they received?  No wonder she bawled all night, and couldn't even come down to concede or thank her supporters.

The bigger question is if many of the contributions to the foundation and their high priced speaking fees were predicated on winning the White House and completing the pay for play deals. If so, they are indebted to many nefarious folks that would want to extract their pound of flesh.

The money they were pulling in was little more than chump change for the global elite fatcats.  It's just that $5 million here and $10 million there adds up for anyone else.  Besides, there were some sleazy deals she set up while SecState, such as the Uranium to Russia deal.  Anyone so naïve as to believe that was done without a quid quo pro?

I doubt America is going to be for sale under Trump.  It already was under Hilary Clinton
