So safe you can sit your baby right in the middle of a tangle of cords.

I wonder if one is already familiar with LEDs and Arduino how big of a leap would it be to make one of these?
#63
I wonder if Art remembers his old SETI team online?
Team Art Bell.

its still going, but has dropped to about 45th in the rankings.
We've been running it for 15 years.

I guess if we ever get another WOW signal, I'll stay up late and call in.
Although, there are loads of spikes in the data, but I dint really know what any of it means.

I'm glad Seth called out Richard Greer.

A friend told me that Greer admitted to him that most of the "implants" he'd seen or removed were pebbles or rocks, lol.
And doesn't Greer run ECETI or something like tha? Massive drinking club in the desert. I can understand how that would lead to nasty gravel filled tumbles.

I love this shiny new feed.
I'm a little too bleary eyed first thing in the morning to manually maneuver to whatever part of the show I've missed.
Thanks for doing this Sbaustin!

Long time lurker here.   Does anyone know how many listeners Art had last night?

I know, right?
I feel like a real time traveler.
I couldn't be happier!

Well, I am utterly speechless.
That was two hours of the most beautiful Art Bell I've ever heard.
And now I am so worried for Art.
He certainly seemed deflated by the end.

I don't know how, or by what miracle this will be resolved by tomorrow:/
If that satellite or whatever is all he has for internet I don't know how we can count on it:(

But barring what happened at the end, that is the highest quality sound I've heard in a long time.
I think I had become slowly immune to just how crap sound quality on streaming radio really is.
Here's to perfection Art. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!

George Noory to Art Bell;
What is this "listening to the guest" you speak of?

Chunga should hook up with Church.
They sound like birds of a feather.
Great news on getting Barbara back!

Everything about the new show feels better than the XM thing.

Clyde has more content that anyone else.
He flies by the seat of his pants sometimes and has a real talent for making a huge issue out of the smallest occurrence.
Sometimes he steers so sideways it is incredible.
But one thing is for sure, the dude has talent and unlimited imagination.
He is well read also.
It annoys me that he isn't better off financially.
He puts out, day in day out.
Unfortunately there is just no money in radio anymore.

Ahhh, Clyde did a most excellent show last week, explaining his intro music and how it came to be.
I have always like it, but this gave me a much greater appreciation.
http://www.groundzeromedia.org/negativland-battle-and-hum-of-the-republik/

I really admire Clyde...he does five hours every night, takes open lines like the boss, along with new music mixes that he does himself, AND an article with every show. Five days a week.

Probably gets paid peanuts.
He is some kinda old school amazing.

Americans are indeed diverse.
Is this why they can't stop killing people of all colours and ethnicity?
At least it is nothing personal I suppose.

On and on it goes.

You have covered it all MV.
But using the "C" word was entirely uncalled for:P

But seriously opening his show with George just tweeted me.
Sheesh, it was so inane I can't even remember what the tweet was.

I listen to PRN laser jock.

Pretty sure it would be impossible to peg the political leanings of this board.
It's exterior to the paradigm.

He opened the show tonight with one of George's tweets.
OMG, I am listening?
I suppose.

Because CL is better on soundcloud sans commercials.
Oh maybe I can catch the ship.
Maybe the line has diminished.

Jorch on changing the format: "And that just makes the show explode."

Yeah. Into a pit of suckage.

How fucking delusional are the powers at Coast? Didn't Art also talk about current events? How can they be gaining stations but losing listeners? You can't blame it all on the decline of AM.

Forget the crack of thunder. The new rejoin sound for Coast should be a toilet flushing.
OMG, I just realized your avatar is the guy from adult swim "Way too Many Cooks". You're being ironic, right? No way can I keep up with this board.

That's nothing. Right after he shaved it off, he did an appearance on Jesse Ventura's show "Off the Grid". They penciled in a fake stache. Check it out!!!

Midnight Central time, I think.  Good to have you join in!
Oh man...midnight is the middle of the night.
I am not sure I will make it.
Maybe if I take a knapp now;)
Thanks!

Yep, I looked it up. Eeeesss indeed midnight central.
Wow, the coast site is worse than ever.
Hadn't been there in ages.

I wonder if this whole situation might just be a ploy to get a finger on the pulse of the AB fan base a fully seven months before he even plans to come back?

And from what I can see, all communication from Art is yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah.
I am totally going to try to call in.

I watched the new season premiere episode last night on H2 of Scott Wolter's "America Unearthed" - Scott investigated a claim that Davy Crockett didn't die at the Alamo but lived on in Alabama for about 20 more years.
He learned both Davy and Santa Ana were Free Masons, so that might have been why he was allowed to live.

I came here to get tips on listening to C2C, because I am too lazy to figure it out myself.
This topic sounds so stale and boring.
But Art did send out a challenge for everyone to call in live to Jimmy. Because it was made clear that Jimmy was only there to promote Dark Matter.
So, get ur dialing fingers ready, on your Bakelite phones!!
I might even try to get through myself.
Although, it is a yawn of a topic.

Art always goes a little cuckoo for a day or two this time of year, all those clocks to change and everything

Yep, it is almost six am and I have been up for two hours. It's driving me nuts!

Art has every right to have beef with jimmy church!  Church didnt have to join the dark side. Jimmy knew the rivalry between coast/premier and Art, but he chose to betray Art and willingly  chose to accept coasts offer.  Also Art is absolutely right in that coast/premier purposely went after jimmy to steal him away from Dark Matter Radio. But jimmy was a fool for taking the bait and being naive enough to think that coast genuinely wanted him as a host and that it wasn't meant to get at Art and piss him off.

As far as Keith, I think Art is pissed off because Keith never told him about Jimmy leaving to go to coast. As soon as Keith found out, he should of got on the phone and told Art. Keith tried sweeping it under the rug and not telling Art about it. I wouldnt be suprised if coast even offered Keith a position within the company. Its obvious that coast/premier are REALLY trying to do Art harm, emotionally. Thats soo fucked up and those two (keith and jimmy) are fucked up too!!!!

Art's done.

I feel like shoving a copy of "Art of War" up Noorys ass right now.

I haven't delt with Keith, but that is exactly how Hendrie is.
When I told him his website sucked he accused me of not knowing how to turn a computer on.

Now he is revamping his (terrible) website.

When I said he wasn't worth $10.00 a month, and the least he could do was a embers only Saturday show... He started a Saturday show.

These people listen.
Surely they know that for every person that kicks up dust, there are a bunch that stay quiet.

I warned Jimmy about the GN thang... But man, if he is that wet behind the ears, and doesn't already know the drill then it is just a shame.
