Why do you guys participate in a forum that bashes a talk show host, yet make it obvious that you go out of your way to regularly listen to him? That's like not enjoying pain, but cutting yourself.

Are you all really that pathetic? ???

Speaking for myself, not pathetic, just bitter. It is pitiful when the most fun you can get out of your ex favourite show is bitching about it. But I don't see that as my fault. I didn't force Art to retire after spoiling me for years, nor did Premier listen to me scream at my radio those first few hints that George dropped that he might take over the show.

It really depends on how you're going to use it. If you are a serious digital artist/designer, the Intuos is the better choice; for less intense use, the Bamboo is fine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This one from a musician that uses it for editing music, not graphics.
Intuos Oh Yes!  I have the 9 by 12...~~~~~~~~~~ This from a professional graphic artist. You can see his work here. http://gwyllm-arts.com/
My friend responded. She uses the Intuos 3 and adores it, as do most of her co-workers and classmates. She'd never heard of the bamboo, however. Looks like a majority vote, so far.~~~ This one from a friend of a friend, no really, Haha.
These are such good little workhorse tablets, I'd get the best one I could if I were you. Hope this helps!
I've never known anyone regret digging just a little bit deeper for the better tab.
Yeah, I am not up with the new ones, though I may be in the market PDQ. Get the best one you can possibly afford. However, there is the creative factor. Some people are just better, even if their equipment isn't as spangly as the next guys.
I will ask around though, and see if any of my friend have comparison's on the two.
#214
Bloody hell, I sent you a long reply on the Wacom topic!
Long story short... get a Wacom, they are better. Get the largest one you can afford.
I must have lost the post... you know RL stuff going on. This time in the form of a major neighbouhood street row right outside the front door.
Nobody died, so I have no excuse for not hitting send:)
I want that job too. I can say this much, any one of us would not be afraid if the guest lost his phone connection. There is plenty to say, but imagine if you worked for Clean Channel... and you had no brain cells left over to remember what was O.K. to say.
True, most lefties are against violence, but I am wondering if there might be a select group that is so fed up that they may have become what they resist. I don't know, this recreate '68 group looked fishy to me, and they got plenty of media didn't they?
But thank GAWD, if the election comes in early it will be Obama, and if it is late it will be McCain. Thanks to that late night Saturn energy or something, I forget.
Maybe Ian wasn't that happy from the start doing that show, he didn't seem to be.
I think the so called anarchists were planted, to steer attention away from the more worthy and conscious protestors.
But still Ian covered it about as well as FAUX news.
I know these guys are busy making a lot of money, and they don?t always have the time to look into the entirety of any issue. So, that is why I guess I degrade them by saying they are like TV.
I hope I don?t sound too bitter. It?s just ME and election years, oil and water.
I?ll be better by xmas, if the haydron collider doesn?t fix me all back to perfect on Wednesday, haha.
Which you can watch live at the above link. Wednesday morning at one AM central time.
Look, Ian was singing the praises of the RNC. Fine, I guess it may have been OK, but come on. C2C is too much like TV at this point. Yet they tout how alternative they are.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXodmTgFUUA&eurl=
I feel like I am hearing fake party line controversy. It's dead.
I like Ian as a person, he's really a sweetheart... so I guess it was especially disappointing to see how he back skated through this show. And the guest seemed rushed and nervous. Ian usually has the ability to make them more comfortable than that. I could almost cut the agenda with a knife.
#218
Well, as you can see from my earlier offering I am still on mouse. My wacom tablet (which I might add has served me well for almost ten years) has finally given up the ghost.
Ewww that reminds me, no Ghost to Ghost with Art this year. Life sucks.
That show was SO rushed, it really stuck out like a sore thumb, but I also think Premier is up against some some of neutral agenda regarding the election. They are walking a tightrope.
As far as Ians Saturday show, it was frustrating that he put quantity before quality when they went to calls with the guest. What was the big fizz? It isn't often that Ian frustrates me, but he managed it on this one? Is someone pressuring him? I don't get it.
He even said to one caller, the calls have to be about the guest. No they don't. I mean on the rare ocassion you do get an interesting caller. Although admittedly she wasn't one of them.
#221
Yeah, I mean he did not wait ONE second before he was ready to go to replay. Hoagy may be boring, but at least he can whitter, something any TALK show host should be able to do instinctively.
And George was saying things like, "Oh, I can keep you here all night if I want Richard"
and then deciding the buy 50 books of Hoagy and sending the first one to his lackey over at the nighthawk zone. You know? George NEVER mentions this forum. I wonder why? Haha.
#222
Oh GOODY, the guest lost his phone line so hoagie is on...yay! NOT!
The guest was talking about pyramids, he said his friend had a coffee book table about them, hee hee.
GN; "But this time we are going to dance together Richard." I KNEW it.
(In response to hoagy saying his wife was just showing him a new green thing she was going to wear last night.)
All this and more folks, on the Sept. 7th show (which I am not going to make it through.)
#223
GN:Hey John, you are on the air!
John: Hello George.
GN: Fine fine, thanks!
GN; Well, it's already September, unbelievable. Pretty soon it will be Halloween then Thanksgiving, the Christmas, and then the new year. Amazing how time just keeps passing.
Guest: I had a blast at the conference, it was a lot of fun.
GN: Good pee butt.
That's ten minutes and twenty five seconds into the show. I notice he often just starts a word or several and just leaves a trail of regurgitated verbage.
GN:How do you know they are spirits and not real human beans?
Guest: Blah blah blah. (She was boring.)
GN:Like the movie ghost, eh, the character played by Whoopi Goldberg, did that happen to you too, where they just bombarded you where you couldn't sleep?
WOW, it took him a whole 15 minutes to mention a movie reference.
At 39:19 another COMPLETE GARBLE. I am starting to think these garbles are Georges idea of a seque, another art he hasn't mastered. Bleh.
#224
Gah, I was just trying to listen and I keep finding myself yelling at him. I really should give up.
I skipped to another section, hoping the guest would be interesting. Flunk again.
I need to go cancel right now while I am thinking about it, and write them yet another nasty email to which tyey will reply as usual, "Thank you for your support in the past." Translated to "Fine, fuck off then!" haha.
They literally have a captive audience... as far as I know there's just no one competing with him in that late night market. That's because radio (as well as much of the entertainment, concerts, billboards ect.) is owned by clear channel, which premier is a sub of.
In Portland CC made my friend paint over his jungle mural on a garage door, because they said it was "advertising". Rather nasty court case, and I have hated those bastards ever since. I know Art disliked them too...if you listen back to his shows when it was first taken over, he was very bitter. I don't blame him for wanting to wash his hands of it.
But while I am thinking about that, lemme post this.
http://www.smeter.net/pahrump/recording-playback-schedule.php
I did a bit of digging around and there seemed to be some word that Art shows up around one am central time, with a call in function too. Not 100% sure, because I haven't followed up on it. He's a ham though, and I think he's determined to stay free and on the air.
#225
I did post to that, but they don't care. Of that I am sure.
A whole night of "how do you know it wasn't an alien/angel/time-traveler though a portal?"  I'd rather let the local hooligans egg my home.
Or like last night, which I am trying to get through... some woman describes a grey encounter and he said, they may have been robots.
And so many leg and egg stories it made my head spin. I am sorry I can't even type it because no such word exists. LAG, (long A) Agg, (long A? again.)
Then we are really off to the races, on how funny it is that the summer goes by and then it is halloween and thanksgiving, then christmas and it's the new year again. Amazing.
Never again, NEVER.
Ians shows were interesting though, would it be too much for them to just ask for a simple donation toward just Ians show? Hell, I don't even care if it is the same amount of money... I just don't want them to think I am lame enough to pay for GN.
#227
I was SO annoyed by that "does it get any better?" comment. I just yelled, WELL YEAH, IT DOES! Ohhh, thank GOD the STAFF is making all these surprises for us.
I am going in for another cancellation...
Yeah, I was pretty annoyed to hear about his lunch date, just surprised I didn't have to sit through the menu.
Art must be OUT, no ghost to ghost this year...screw that.
Actually the first time I ever heard Art was when my girls had dragged me out to late on Halloween and Art came on the radio. I was bored out of my mind and just turned the radio on, and it was WONDERFUL.
Haha, yes "Linda hive you been".... oh gggrrr.
Ok I'm going to hell for this one, but I've done worse things so this shouldn't stop me.
I think this photo of the kid with two heads in Bangladesh is ripe for photoshopping Snoory and Hoagland's faces in.
Hahaha. You've seen my photoshop jobs, mostly cause I couldn't be arsed to plug in my tablet. But yeah someone else (who knows they are already going to hell for sure and can photoshop) should do it.
#229
Hahahaha! That almost made the show worth listening to. LOL.
You  nailed it.
Funny, I can't seem to bring myself to even download last nights show... I have heard exactly ONE since I resubbed.
I wish there were more great movies like this. I actually haven't been able to find much of anything worth watching for several months. I don't know if it's down to the writers strike or what.
I just watched the Big L again a couple of weeks ago, I'd forgotten what a truly intelligient and high quality movie it was. It was NOT UN-DUDE, hahaha.
Yeah, that's true...that one stopped me in my tracks LOL. I thought oh, I should remember what segment I am on and tell the guys about this, but I was immediately sidetracked by something more interesting, I think it was some fuzz in my bellybutton or something. LOL, I am glad you posted that one tho... it was RANDOM.
#232
Hahaha, I didn't hear him say that... try as I may, my mind kept drifting. You know the main problem with the show is nothing is THOUGHT PROVOKING. I mean it's just an awesome feeling when someone posits a theory and you go, wow that's kind of crazy, but it never ocurred to me to even consider it. I like that, even if I think it through for only a second and throw it in the recycle bin. Art was ALWAYS doing that on his show. And if he wasn't stimulating new thoughts he was at least making some old tired ones funny or interesting from a new angle.
George Noory Sucks. And you know those are the exact words I typed into google over a year ago when I was so frustrated I couldn't see straight.  Haha. Like everything else online, someone thought of it before me:)
I counted at least four movie reference in last nights show, and I wasn't even paying attention.
Yeah, I have said all I have to say on this topic. Except that Michael would probably enjoy Brian Dunnings podcast. And so do I.
I know we all have this is common, we think Noory sucks and are not shy to have a good laugh about something that annoys the fuck out of us. That's why I come here.
#234
Good point, a lot of his listeners wouldn't have a clue what Snopes even was. He really can't have it both ways. Claiming he is top in the market but also can't be arsed to take five seconds to verify a story that according to him millions are listening to,(not counting the outer space audience.)
It?s so sloppy. I guess my real problem with George?. Ahhaha, never mind. You guys already know. I did listen to the whole of last nights show and just kept trying to tell myself that it still might be making people think. Sort of like how your kindergarten teacher encouraged you that math could be fun, by making it really really simple.
I wonder of he prepares those stories?
Anyone ever notice that when he has to say..."Are our" he sounds like a seal? Ar Ar Ar...
#235
Good grief! I can't believe he covered that old ?Winnebago cruise control? story last night, adding 'I hope this isn't just one of those Snopes stories'!
It's like the story below, except George has changed the driver to a female. He also astutely added, after he said the winnebago was 32 ft long, that it was "one of those big ones." Duh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mr Merv Grazinski of Oklahoma City.
In November 2000 Mr Grazinski purchased a brand new 32 foot
Winnebago motor home. On his first trip home, having joined
the freeway, he set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly
left the drivers seat to go into the back and make himself
a cup of coffee. Not surprisingly the Winnie left the
freeway, crashed and overturned. Mr Grazinski sued Winnebago
for not advising him in the handbook that he couldn't actually
do this. He was awarded $1,750,000 plus a new Winnie. (Winnebago
actually changed their handbooks on the back of this court
case, just in case there are any other complete morons
buying their vehicles.)

It's a portal just like in the movie contact!
#237
Nono, it was about the AA comment... I thought it would be a good banner.... AA coins, something like I have not been drunk enough to sub to C2C in a year. Bad joke I guess, haha.

I just think the new banners are widly amusing, and was sort of challenging myself today to come up with a new one.
#238
I am now officially too sober to justify my previous actions and downloading some show about  Howard Huges' will and "environmental health threats". C2C AM the new AA motivation coin. Quick, someone make a banner entry...hahaha.
#239
Okay, I may not be as sober as I have ever been in my life, so I am here to testify that you can subscribe to that site drunk out of your mind. And really, that surely must be some sort of prerequisite because I am not sure why I just did that. But good old C2C really hung in there with me, until they got my exact phone number. Ohhh, maybe George stores them up for his lonely nights after he goes to only three days a week? Finally, something to look forward to, hahaha.

i will say this... coca cola's assertions are easily verified or refuted, and they know it. i'd be shocked if they were blatantly lying on their site for all to see.

They don't lie, they pay lawyers to "reword" the truth. Come on Michael, you know how it's done.
That case is unresolved and there are millions to be made while it is pending. This page is nothing more than a pending plea... you can say pretty much watever you want during a trial.
